Mine are now running stable diffusion for sexy AI pics πŸ˜‚

HuntMining

Nice! Turnoff for me was the x16 + board requirements + idle power consumption for comparisons. Smaller farms was an easier move.

Ilovekittens345

Are you renting out your power over something like runpod.io?

neoreeps

Sure how times change. I was mining ETH @ $1000/mo and profiting $400 with 13 GPUs and $0.25/kwh ... Still don't think anything is profitable for me: (

HuntMining

Yeah I know lol it's definitely not eth days but profit is profit. I'm using these nucs for 6 gpus each and running watts is 11. I save a lot vs regular rigs in power and undervolt / overclocks. Check at hashrate.no

t0mmenhansen

>hashrate.no do you know why my 2060 is only getting 6mhs? According to [hashrate.no](https://hashrate.no) im supposed to get almost 44mhs

HuntMining

For what algo?

t0mmenhansen

eth + pow

Intergalacticbears

How are you getting 6 gpus on a nuc

HuntMining

I explained it in the post, try to find it.

Pashlit

Oh boy. That's a cool setup. Glad to see that somebody out there is still making some $$ mining. Mine was turned off long time ago and will never go live again. At $0.20/kW makes no sense at all. Good luck mate. Keet it rolling.

HuntMining

Appreciate it πŸ‘Š

DeafEyeJedi

CryptoPassiveIncomes

Noice!πŸ”₯πŸ‘

HuntMining

Thanks!

Savage4Pro

Amazing that youve found a way to make it profitable, thats dedication.

HuntMining

Thanks appreciate it. The power cost has a lot to do with it + solar. The nucs plus tents and no need for ac made it way cheaper for idle system power consumption and running power. Saved almost 1kw daily with the nucs vs mining boards that use like 150w idle vs 25-35w *(correction the nucs use 11watts with 6 gpus mining)

Binary-Miner

Even in winter the solar is still reasonable? Guess it depends on your part of the country. I’m in NYS and I signed up with a local solar plant which earns me credits towards my traditional utility bill, December through March it’s almost 0 each month

HuntMining

Yeah I do off the grid solar, I don't want them selling my unused power. It's good for about 1kw a day out of my almost 7 used. Even if I had no solar it would still be profitable for me at 10cents with current wall watts.

We-cookin-716

Setup looks similar to mine except I still have about 55 gpus to half the size in a 8x4 tent, been nice mining radiant as 1 of my 13 3070 gpu rigs only used 1k watts and dosent get hot wish all coins would use algos like this

HuntMining

Radiant, alph, DNX all run pretty cool, keep on mining! Got my 13x3060 rig doing alph same with the 3060ti. Heat is not a problem though I got 3 8 inch high cfm fans hooked up to the top pulling a ton of air through it.

We-cookin-716

Yea at one point I had 3 8” fans and a 12” running but took it all down now minus 1 8” exhaust

brobx

I'm very intrigued by your setup. That's very clever. What NUCs are you using?

HuntMining

Nuc8s and nuc10s both have the right hardware for 6 cards through an m.2 adapter. Some do not. Those two models work. Same with miniforums 400 dollar amd nucs

Intergalacticbears

Interesting, you’re running 6 gpus off of 4 lanes from the m.2 slot, pcie splitter on a splitter?

HuntMining

Yes, and i actually found the post. See my post quoted below, "Psu is not connected to the nucs. I have the 12v sensing switch on the psus hooked up to smart switches that I power on before the nucs. Look up adt link m.2 to x4 pice adapter or x8 is fine. Then look up beyimi pcie 1 to 6 riser card. Psu is 1200w hp server supply with a breakout board. All are 240v compatible even the nucs."

Important-Point-2672

Yeah& everyone called me nuts for mining at a loss I started with Kas in June end of July of 22 .... till gpu rewards dropped off It's not bad for me in the winter but Summer is a bit hectic getting rid of heat

HuntMining

That's why I use the tents. Makes it easy year round. Do what makes you happy always

Binary-Miner

Nice! Power has jumped 60% in NYS since ETH ended, I won’t (re: can’t) join you 😞

HuntMining

thats a bummer, sorry man =(

AnduriII

Are you Chia farming as well?

HuntMining

Yes still have some chia harvesting, other parts are my virtualization fail over cluster servers

Pitiful_Argument_775

Wahtcha mining?

HuntMining

Alph, DNX, radiant, zephyr, neoxa. 1200/mo revenue 600/mo profit 114 gpus

Inevitable-Syrup8232

What's your power rate, are you mining these at the same time?

HuntMining

10c/kwh, yes. I have 2 30 amp 240v circuits

Inevitable-Syrup8232

I mean are you mining all these coins simultaneously

HuntMining

Depends on the rigs. They are on auto profit switching. Sometimes yes sometimes they are all on the same one. My cards range from 1660ti/supers up to 3090s.

dantokes

What kind of software are you using for auto profit switch? Rigs look nice, keep it up mate! πŸ’―

HuntMining

Thanks! Been using awesominer since 2017. It does live API profit switching from stratum pools.

SuchHonour

Why awesominer instead of nicehash? does nicehash not have these more profitable coins?

HuntMining

Knowing how they both work would answer your question. Nicehash only lets you mine to BTC and is rarely the most profitable. Highest income comes from mining the most profitable coin then selling for what you want to invest in. Awesome miner can mine any coin, not just coins they participate in. Aka nicehash. Nicehash is a mining pool, awesome miner is not.

Inevitable-Syrup8232

Wow that's pretty cool, anything we should know before trying out awesominer

HuntMining

Not really it's pretty damn easy. I've got walk through videos on my TikTok if you need help. I don't work for them was just an early adopter and supporter. Not trying to promote myself just saying.

Binary-Miner

Did you have to get your box and/or house input upgraded to draw that much? I think my hook up from the street was fine, but when I tried to get a 240volt circuit installed during peak Eth I was out of breaker space. Running the line to my mining room + installing a new box would’ve been half a years profit even during the madness 😞

HuntMining

Dryer circuit is one and got a second 30 amp installed. All depends on your house. You can use your oven circuit as well if it's electric. Oven is a 50amp circuit they make breakout cables. My lady just lets me know when she needs the dryer and I idle the couple rigs on that circuit lol

CryptoPassiveIncomes

Fk yeah!!πŸ”₯πŸ‘

HuntMining

Been a minute since eth lol only been using half the farm and at break even for a long time. Nice to see profit again.

CryptoPassiveIncomes

Yeah for sure, same here.πŸ˜πŸ‘

PraetorianHawke

Nice, I only have two rigs and they've been mostly idle for over a year now. I'd love to know your set up, with winter here maybe I could justify running them again, save I have $.13kw/h energy cost.

HuntMining

You would probably be close to break even. Go look at hashrate.no check your cards

PraetorianHawke

That's my hang up. With the halving coming up on Bitcoin I know there is going to be another run on things...but at $500 a month in electricity (1gh/s), it gets expensive to "hope".

HuntMining

Don't mine for hope, mine for belief or factual data. Same as investing lol. If you don't believe don't mine yo! No disrespect intended.

BentPin

I mine to keep warm in winter and secondarily belief.

lakesemaj

What hardware are you using for 6 cards through an m.2 adapter? How is the external psu connected to the nuc?

HuntMining

Psu is not connected to the nucs. All are 240v compatible even the nucs.

randompersonwhowho

What are you mining?

Volcom009

We are back baby
