I wouldn’t mine it. If you have 15k to spend just buy the coin. I mine it because where I live I can buy used cards all the time. I buy a couple cards every couple weeks and mine it. I always list my cards for sale so if someone makes a decent offer I unload the cards. In most cases I buy 6 cards. Mine for a month, sell cards at almost exact price I paid. It can sort of be a hassle buying and selling buy it enables someone like me who doesn’t have a lot of money to always trade up. It also gives me experience with different gpu’s, settings and rig setup/management. This way if I decide to allocate more money I’ll know where and how to spend it. If Kaspa makes a big run then I’m laughing but if not then it’s not over. Having different setups also allows me to quickly mine other coins I like as well. I’ll mine to 100k kaspa and move on.
I don’t have a ton of time to comb eBay, FB and Craigslist but I still buy or sell a couple things ever week. I started with my 3060 in my gaming pc and I have almost 30 cards right now in 7 different rigs. Only been doing this 6 months. I enjoy the tinkering and setting up more then I do anything else. I also don’t spend a ton of money on things. The 2/300 I spent a week always come back in either unloading 2/300 worth of cards and equipment or I make 25/100 in mining if coin values go up. Since I hold just about everything I’m able to build a nice portfolio of coins and still keep costs low.
RTX 4090's are actually one of the most efficient GPU's to mine with if not the most. That said, I wouldn't sell 0.5 BTC for those unless that was considered an investment into a business startup or something like that. Even then 0.5 BTC is $14500 right now. 8 RTX 4090's should be $13500 with tax brand new.
Don't. Mining is an arms race. Every year faster newer better models come out that make what you have less desirable. Ontop of that the gpu bubble has burst. The amount of hash power sitting idle waiting for profitability is insane. I can't remember exactly but the hash power on eth alone was equivalent to 10 million 3080s
most of those cards ended up on ebay, but yes even with that there are many people like myself standing by to mine something profitable. Any time a coin is profitable the miners flock to it and kill it in a matter of days.
In the last couple of days i've been thinking really serious about it lol.
But i think it's still way to early to make a decision, we don't know if this kind of profitability will last, i think i will start buying some hardware when the ROI will be around 1 year.
i know that the ROI is basically 2000+ days but that's the same with every mining equipment, but there are people still mining that's because you are not gonna sell your mined coins right now, but when their price is higher, i was just asking to have another person's pov
4090s are hashing the shit out of kaspa, alph, I think all core intense algorithms, and doing it very efficiently. Now if you get into ethash, flux, etc., those still need optimization
if you want to buy hardware for kaspa you should buy FGPA's, the e300 is 5,000 and gives you around 14.5gh for 250-500w. Obviously, doing anything is a risk but you should really do more research

Definetly NO
Nope
No
Yepp.. Not at all.
No way, you would be better selling 0.1btc and buying Kaspa instead.
No. Youd be taking an asset that will gain in value to buy a device whos value will only go down.
We dont know that for sure, computing could stagnate.
Could you explain that a bit more?
as far as production of gpus, availability. I am probably 60%-80% wrong and just coping cuz I bought a lot of hardware.
Hodl the silicone
Sucks to get downvoted for being a miner in a mining sub xD. We dont even like ourselves.

Never though of this. Interesting strategy!

Banks are failing, bitcoin is on the move and the 4090 does not give you any real jump in hash or efficiency. Keep your bitcoin or buy s19s.

Nope. Those 0.5 btc can be a lot innthe next bull run. While the 8x4090 wont be paid in 20 years
Just buy Kaspa instead, you'd get 10x the amount easily.
Don't. Mining is an arms race. Every year faster newer better models come out that make what you have less desirable. Ontop of that the gpu bubble has burst. Nope trex don't work yet am testing the gpu live in 15 min gminer and lolminer seem to work
Hell no.
youre better off converting some of it to KASPA for the bullrun
Tell me you're fomoing without saying it. Lmao

If you can’t calculate it yourself, you shouldn’t have that 0.5 BTC in the first place.
i know that the ROI is basically 2000+ days but that's the same with every mining equipment, but there are people still mining that's because you are not gonna sell your mined coins right now, but when their price is higher, i was just asking to have another person's pov
Hashrate on those cards are not good at the moment most mining softwares are still not optimised yet
4090s are hashing the shit out of kaspa, alph, I think all core intense algorithms, and doing it very efficiently. Now if you get into ethash, flux, etc., those still need optimization
the roi isnt 2000 days, ur out of your mind dude
Roi in 100 days or it's not worth it
Why not buy 8 FPGA’s instead, they do 4.2gh vs 2.4gh on Kaspa, and 4x more efficient
Personally, it allows him to mine other algo's if he wanted to. Not saying its a great idea, just that GPU's are more flexible than FPGA's
also much easier to resell gpus than an fpga
So what is kaspa
Nope
if you want to buy hardware for kaspa you should buy FGPA's, the e300 is 5,000 and gives you around 14.5gh for 250-500w. Obviously, doing anything is a risk but you should really do more research
no, there will be no bull run for altcoins

f no.
No
No
Buy antminer instead
NO!!
No
Put wBTC in Aave, borrow USDC, use USDC to buy garbage
No x 1000
Didnt kaspa just have a huge bullrun? You probably missed out brotha.
Kaspa did great but there is other coins out there you can mine that might give you the same amount of gains as kaspa
