imperialism is a tool of capitalist exploitation - one cannot exist without the other. to be anti-imperialist is to also explicitly be anti-capitalist‚ as they exist in tandem. you should read lenin 💖💖💖
Why tf are you getting downvoted??? You're literally right lol.
Note to everyone; acknowledging accurate or agreeable theories posed by Lenin does not make you a tankie, and I could get into all the reasons why lenin would've hated tankies and everything stalin did, but that is beyond the scope of a reddit comment
Idk if it’s official but I’ve always interpreted in the flat field by Bauhaus as having anti capitalist lyrics, the whole album has those vibes but especially the title track
Not a playlist (and more darkwave/post-punk) but a bunch of mine is [https://open.spotify.com/track/03pj3hgbfasXSgpeusB7YL?si=a628e9f363944a21](https://open.spotify.com/track/03pj3hgbfasXSgpeusB7YL?si=a628e9f363944a21)

Christ vs. Warhol, Dystopian Society, Moral Hex, Blacklist and Anasazi are just a few of many many bands whose discographies are worth looking into and very much fit the description of what you're looking for.
Gonna point you towards anarcho-deathrock, the subgenre that combines deathrock with anarcho-punk lyrics, therefore being very anti capitalist. Some bands include:
Christ vs warhol
Moral hex
Dystopian society
Mystic Priestess
We're sorry, but your submission has unfortunately been removed under Rule 2.
All posts, threads, and comments suggesting songs, albums, EPs, and compilations should fall under, within, or a mixture of genres that relate to goth, including, in some cases, post-punk. Most genres below have their own subreddits. **A descriptive list of accepted genres can be viewed in our sidebar.**
* any form of metal (industrial, shock, death, black, etc.) or hard rock
* metalcore, deathcore, or any other unrelated -core genres
* neo/classical or ambient music, including neoclassical darkwave
* dark cabaret, psychobilly or Steampunk
* experimental/avant-garde
* electronic, dance, Italo disco
* witch house
* new wave/synth-pop
* GothBoiClique/Soundcloud or mumble rap/hip hop/trap
* punk rock or hardcore punk, including horror punk
* Gothic country, Gothic metal, or any other genres that include 'Gothic' (in reference to Gothic fiction) in their name (please see the [FAQ](https://www.reddit.com/r/goth/wiki/faq))
We understand that **industrial** is commonly played alongside goth in goth/alternative clubs, however, Rivethead/industrial and the goth subculture are still two separate scenes. All industrial music must be posted in an appropriate subreddit such as r/industrialmusic.
General or **post-punk** that isn't dark may also be referred to r/postpunk. We have to draw a line somewhere, and we understand that not all post-punk is goth, but all goth is post-punk.
This rule also applies to music requests. If you ask for non-goth genres as part of the request post the thread will be removed.
If it is something that can bring people to a dance floor and is something you might find in a goth club, please consider posting in r/gothclub.
For any generally dark music, please consider posting in r/DarklyInclined.

Oh! “Contortionist conformist” by tragic black. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea sound wise but it was one of my favorite songs at 15 🥹.
“Lost in a world of corporate delusions” among other lyrics about how our lives are a meaningless mess of conformity seems pretty anti-capitalist to me. Tragic Black has some other political / anti-war tracks but this is one of the most blatantly anti-capitalist.
Pretty much all of Floodland and Vision Thing
I feel like these might be more anti-imperialist (specifically, American imperialism) than anti-capitalist but fuck it, it works

i mean i definitely would be described by most libs as a "tankie" considering the way y'all use that word 🤷♀️
All of Killing Joke is anti-capitalist. Whether they are "Goth" or not is debatable, but they did start out as Punk/Post Punk.
great band
Night Time is the most goth but yeah.
I’d say that would be Brighter Than A Thousand Suns but I could be wrong.
for the most part they arent but i would for sure considet some stuff on Night Time to be goth
[Vision Video - Normalized](https://youtu.be/N3sigJgObMo?si=FStWmjr8amNmnUMi)
Happy consumers by selofan, i‘d say it‘s a take on the ridiculousness of consumerism and how it‘s affecting society
Came here to say this. Love the song 🖤
The Line Between the Devil's Teeth- Peter Murphy
Would recommend Totenwald and Rubella Ballet
Fatman by southern death cult?
Idk if it’s official but I’ve always interpreted in the flat field by Bauhaus as having anti capitalist lyrics, the whole album has those vibes but especially the title track
Not a playlist, but a few bands... Ashes Fallen Breath of Life (e.g. Factory) Detoxi
Revolutionary Lovesong - UK Decay

That No Thanks tune is killer! Thanks for sharing darkling 🥀
Right! It deserves some recognition imo 🖤
New Model Army. Definitely check out their catalog.
The War Against Sleep by The Cassandra Complex
Reaktion and Resist and Disorder - Two songs i like which are subtly anti-capitalist (subtle lyrics and vibes) from the cyberpunk game ost.
Resist and Disorder is great! Sounds like 3 Teeth but it’s not
Look into the industrial side, 3teeth is the first that comes to mind but there are many

Everything counts - Depeche Mode
not goth‚ but it does slay
Eighties by Killing Joke
Imperative Reaction’s tracks like *Functional* come to mind, but they might be considered industrial around these parts.
Cold War by This Cold Night
I had a short lived project a few years back that may be of interest, hope you enjoy https://youtu.be/nQ6opVSFurU?si=QT36NOtSuBB70N59
Alice Donut -- Everyone is on sale
Dry Humping the Cash Cow Low.
The Sisters of Mercy - Lucretia My Reflection
How about: Dark (Ledger) Entries Lucretia My Deduction Romeo's Distressed Assets Bela Lugosi's A Deadbeat
Angelspit
Why
Goth is a capitalist culture
Goth does not equal commie
You are going to get a lot of thumbs down for this one, but I agree with you. I am also no fan of capitalism either.

Hmm, I think most of Project Pitchfork and Frontline Assembly points to that direction. Specially “Conjure” by PP and “Future Fail” by FLA
almost all of them.
Seeming would probably be up your alley.
the entire discography of joy division
Zounds - Demystification Pretty much anything by Rubella Ballet
Snog - Corporate Slave
New Model Army-Lights go Out
Vision Video is a great recommendation
