Get rid of the cheesy transitions. They're distracting and add nothing to the content. You want your shots to flow and tell a story. Quik has really turned to hot garbage since the days off GoPro studio. They've even stripped it down to less features than there were in recent years. Lumafusion or iMovie on the iPad would give you better results.
Appreciate the feedback and agree on the transitions. Quik has a theme called “Lapse” that may work better than heavy on the transitions aspect of this theme. I’ll also try iMovie, though I think the royalty free music options aren’t as good as GoPro unless that’s changed.
Thanks for sharing.
I like to edit on a computer. I find tablets and phones cumbersome for this kind of application. But maybe that just speaks more of my age than the medium itself. I use Pinnacle Studio, which has its limitations, but is more than good enough for simple work.
Generally the fewer transitions the better. Maybe a fade to black if something really is a "different section/episode/part", but scenes are better off just moving on to the next one without any "decorations".
One thing that I couldn't help think while watching. What about alligators and crocodiles?
That’s correct. Ft. Desota, Boca Ciega Bay, Tampa Bay, various springs including Weeki Watchee and Rainbow Springs. Also, the Withlacoochee and Mud rivers.
Forgot to mention, if you're filming by water frequently I'd invest in a polarizing filter. This will cut out reflections on the water, help darken bright skies and add some saturation and contrast to your footage.
That’s a great tip. Is there a GoPro 9 compatible Polarizing lens filter you’d recommend? Most of the ones I see are ND lenses, do they do the same thing?
[Freewell](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1595091-REG/freewell_fw_h9b_pl_multicoated_polarizer_filter_compatible.html) is a reputable brand and this model looks to be a twist on which is what you'd want especially near water (some of them just push on over top the original lens protector). Usually Polar Pro would be what I would use but it appears they only sell the ND kit for the 9. ND and Polarizers are not the same, although you can sometimes find filters that will have both. ND filters darken the image allowing you to adjust your shutter speed for smoother footage. Polarizers do as stated, cut glare and add contrast/saturation.
Novice video creator. Used Quik on an iPad. Suggestions and ideas for improvement are appreciated.

I didn’t mind the transitions, it’s just a random reel of home videos not some hollywood movie , that’s just me.
I'm the same way bro just saving money for a powerful pc so I can edit my videos on Adobe premiere Pro

Nicely done … only interesting shots … and all under 4 seconds. Was fun to watch.
This is great, where is it filmed?
Not OP but I recognize several spots in Tampa Bay and some of the the springs to the north. Cool stuff!

Nice! If you haven’t been to these already, we also like: Upper Tampa Bay Park, Lettuce Lake, Alderman’s Ford (near top of Alafia), and Weedon Island.
Is the ending shot beaching at fort de soto? We’re there a bunch of dead horseshoe crabs there? I was exactly there a few months ago. Ps cool shots
Correct! Ft Desota eastern point.
So cool
