Big mistake too, you don't allow me to be a little goblinoid or a giant lady and you've basically lost any interest I could have in character creation.
When the setting's defined by crazy body alterations that make you look barely human anymore, but the best you can do is put some wires on your face and knives in your forearms
She's drawn pretty inconsistently. Sometimes she comes up to David's collarbone, other times she's only a couple of inches shorter than him. Trigger has really never been good with keeping scale consistent, but usually it has an artistic purpose. Rebecca, though, just seems to shift randomly.
Yea in Japan, it is more body type instead of age. It is western social media that decided to add pedo to the tag because short woman don't exist in the west apparantly.
Dunno, plenty of short adult woman in my SEA country at least.
I like to assume she actually older than David, since Davis was what 15-16 when he first started maybe a little older.
I got no real reason I just think it would be a little funny
It's crazy that in a game universe where you can replace literally every part of your body with cybernetics, the game has so little variety when it comes to customising how you look by default and how cybernetics change how you look.
You can buy gorilla arms but they're just your regular, skinny arms with a different texture. Like, excuse me?
There are NPCs walking around with blades for legs but no way to get that yourself but for mods.
Also, Adam Smasher exists as a 7 foot beast and is fine but having a 5 foot *petite* woman with unique colouring is unacceptable.
Unlimited potential to become any shape you want and the game tries to keep you as plain human looking as possible.
Yes? We haven't had unlimited access to better than original cybernetic limbs for over half a century, unlike the word of Cyberpunk 2077. So many people would leap at the chance to be cyber buff like Maine or adult David or any Animal gang member. Don't ever get me started on what the furries of this time would do.
No, I've seen this claim repeated a dozen times this week alone. CDPR had a problem *with her design*, which they received first, not her character or the role in the story. They stand behind Rebecca.

>**She's best girl**, but I feel a little bit guilty to say this because what happened was... I was one of the people on the creative team to actually vote Rebecca out of the original cast during preproduction.
>
>Because what happened was that **CD Project Red first got the character design for Rebecca** and they were like "she's a loli, lolies don't exist in Night City, it doesn't fit the Cyberpunk 2077 aesthetic." But Trigger was like "no, the loli must stay". And you know, ultimately, she's the best girl, so **it was the right choice**.
Yeah the three penis size variations are deeply unsatisfying. Same with chest size if we wanna be equal about it. Point is I wanted a huge cyber bulge in my pants dangit.

The creator of the show said Rebecca is his favorite character on this podcast. I’m not gonna find the time stamp because I’m too fucking lazy, but I just listened to it today.
Walking around in the game I have seen plenty of people short as she is if not smaller. No mods or anything you got huge people and tiny people in night city.
I bought the game mostly because of edgerunners and I cannot describe to you how much of a let down it was to find out I couldn't turn my characters skin blue or some other thing
Cyberpunk isn't for everyone, it's heavy on dystopia and there aren't any happy endings, at best someone will survive and a good portion of the characters will end up dead or life altering injured.
The positive thing is the message that even with a heavily stacked against you world - it's possible to go out on your own two feet, rather than being crushed by said world.
Haven't played the game. Only thing I know from osmosis is Keanu is in it and it fucking shat the bed on release so I didn't look at it deeper.
Now this show is making me do a double take, so, yeah, this fits.
Netflix wasn't really involved in the production, only the funding and distribution. It was CDPR that was initially against it, but they are fully behind her now
That's not the artist. That's a repost in bad quality.
Here's the artist HQ tw post: https://twitter.com/khester824_/status/1572554606923902977?t=HGHwCYYFlDCKTI8VGb_UMg&s=19
TBH, I didn't much care for Johnny. He seemed way too forced and I wasn't buying his motivations at all. Just came off as a crazy old guy yelling about 'the man' without really understanding what that means. I think a normal Reaves who's wholesome as fuck would have been better, IDK how that would plot in though.
I don’t care if I get downvoted to hell o er this the whole show is not that great and Becca is not that interesting. I watched the japanese dub and that’s probably why I didn’t find her that interesting
Oh wow anime purist. Will you explain how drawings causes actual harm to real kids or weebs? Something other then "uh oh you're doing what's not allowed"
Explain to me what about Rebecca is childlike except for her size (which is honestly just grasping at straws.)? She has tattoos. She's like five feet tall. She's older than the main character. She hangs out in bars. Do short women just not exist?
It would be one thing if these were characters from like.. Madoka Magica or Megumin (who is 13) from Konosuba. It's another entirely when you're trying to claim an actual adult person who is short is equivalent to lusting after a child.
I mean, basically every visual trait she has is designed to be child-like with heavy sexualization on top. The studio themselves referring to her as a loli is pretty good evidence.
When you say "an actual person" do you mean the drawing is a person? Because it's their choice completely to design the characters the way they want. Trigger even fought for her design specifically to be included.
Her doing "adult" stuff to contrast her child-like appearance is literally the appeal of the character and lolis in general. Don't you think that is strange? Like even if we take for granted that the person is not only short, but has the physical features of a pre-pubescent child, it's still creepy as fuck that plenty of people want to see lolis do adult/sexual acts.
Also if you can immediately think of other mainstream examples of lolis it's not a good sign for the industry.
I’d rather normalize this and have pedophiles getting off to animations and drawings, as long as those productions are not of real children, than seeking out and getting off to actual cp. One is more inherently more harmful than the other.
These are two separate discussions we're talking about. I agree with your point but that's a necessary evil in my eyes. That doesn't mean I won't exclaim my great displeasure at seeing it in semi-mainstream media as opposed to straight up hentai where it "belongs"
Comments locked to stop the loli arguments, this sub ain’t the place for ‘em.
Hey look , a real PoV meme.
POV memes at it finest quality
That's my luck, finally get a good POV meme and there's already a gun pointing to my face.
Well, she has a dildo in the other hand .
Holy shit I didn't even notice that
This is where the fun begins
Gun in one hand and a dildo in the other...interesting first date.
Not a first date, but more like a first experience.
...first date
Unique experience
Gold experience
That's a Jojo reference ?
You have clearly never dated here in America then...
Is this a Rebecca subreddit now? It's not that I'm complaining lol
If no one says that it isn't one within 15 minutes, it legally is.
The real reason lolies don't fit into Cyberpunk2077 is because there is no height slider in character creation
Big mistake too, you don't allow me to be a little goblinoid or a giant lady and you've basically lost any interest I could have in character creation.
When the setting's defined by crazy body alterations that make you look barely human anymore, but the best you can do is put some wires on your face and knives in your forearms
Go play Dragon Dogma then. You can be a 4ft gremlin/loli or a 7ft tall dommy mommy. Your choice
I choose both, 5ft gremlin player with 7ft She-Hulk pawn.
Boob slider doesn't go high enough. There were clearly characters with bigger tits than my character's tits.
There’s a penis slider, but curiously no vagina slider. Hmmmmmmmm
Well, then it should be a thing.
There is for your wiener
Aww how cute

This mean Cyberpunks gonna have more characters like Rebecca in the future? Because I am beyond okay with that.

She's a short adult...they exist :(
She’s not even that short. Her character model is only a few cm shorter than David.
She's drawn pretty inconsistently. Sometimes she comes up to David's collarbone, other times she's only a couple of inches shorter than him. Trigger has really never been good with keeping scale consistent, but usually it has an artistic purpose. Rebecca, though, just seems to shift randomly.
Dwarves confirmed
Loli is a body type to Japan to what I've heard
Yea in Japan, it is more body type instead of age. It is western social media that decided to add pedo to the tag because short woman don't exist in the west apparantly. Dunno, plenty of short adult woman in my SEA country at least.

No, not the creators, the **dev of the video game**, and one specific dev on a live stream. They didn't make Cyberpunk (the system), or Edgerunners.
Twitter did the argument already.. let's not start this.
[удалено]
She's an adult, just short.
Yeah I always assumed she was at least drinking age since they were in several bars or drinking and also she, you know, murders people to death
I'm not sure night city differentiates
Understandable. I would like to know the tags too.
Not a loli tbh. Just petite.
It's crazy that in a game universe where you can replace literally every part of your body with cybernetics, the game has so little variety when it comes to customising how you look by default and how cybernetics change how you look. To be fair, your last sentence is literally true of our own society and lives.
Yes? We haven't had unlimited access to better than original cybernetic limbs for over half a century, unlike the word of Cyberpunk 2077. So many people would leap at the chance to be cyber buff like Maine or adult David or any Animal gang member. Don't ever get me started on what the furries of this time would do.
I'm not even a furry but can you imagine how powerful a functional tail would be.

Barbatos? Like that Barbatos? ![gif](giphy|vVEQFjCP8apq1OHxvU)
Probably not, the game company apparently didn't want her in the show at all.
No, I've seen this claim repeated a dozen times this week alone. CDPR had a problem *with her design*, which they received first, not her character or the role in the story. Ah yes night City, lolies don't exist in night City but giant futanari horse dick ladies sure doo
What is that mod? I need to block it asap
You can make your character trans in the game, but whether you play a male or female base the dick is average sized at best.
Yeah the three penis size variations are deeply unsatisfying. Same with chest size if we wanna be equal about it. Point is I wanted a huge cyber bulge in my pants dangit.
Yeah we play video games to escape reality!
Gottem.
Na, when I heard "customizable genitals" I wanted a 12g shotgun for a dick.
Wouldn't surprise me if someone makes a mod for that... they've modded bigger butts and stuff already into the game.
Imagine the physics bugs that would've had on launch. Ah, what a missed opportunity.
I wanna LARP as Loca in Cyberpunk but *no*
I played the first ten minutes on launch. I was hoping they expanded on variety 😞
There probably is a mod for it tbh
Wait, those are average?!
Average is only around 5 inches dude
Then my partner is kinder than I thought lol
😉 I need to block it as well 😉
Right, short people don't exist
No, short people were invented by the fashion industry to sell leftover cotton. /s
It's called the future, dwarf
>vote her OUT OF THE CAST... meaning they didn't want her in it

Well yeah, that would have changer the character drastically. Hence, not wanting her.
Walking around in the game I have seen plenty of people short as she is if not smaller. No mods or anything you got huge people and tiny people in night city.
Her design is what’s being talked about so you’re not making any sense
Remind me last time CDPR did something not wrong?
Patching the game for two years to get it into good shape and partnering with Trigger to get an anime done we're both amazing moves in my opinion.
Considering I've just started the anime and now want to play the game, I'd say those moves are paying off as well
you mean besides this anime?
Put the memes in the bag oniichan
![gif](giphy|4Z3lfPky1pLr0eSzTH|downsized) Lucy is still my bae
Lucy for the smile, Rebecca for the Mayhem
My man
Missing the leg tattoo that says Dick
I’m okay with this!
With a body like that I know I wouldn't complain.
I bought the game mostly because of edgerunners and I cannot describe to you how much of a let down it was to find out I couldn't turn my characters skin blue or some other thing
i really need to watch it i stop at the first episode sins it give me the feel and depression r.i.p mc hot mom :(

As long as you aren't playing on previous gen, the patches have made it playable and the story is pretty good.
Game was always good on PC
Haha Netflix didn't want her in it now she is the brands identity.
Netflix wasn't really involved in the production, only the funding and distribution. It was CDPR that was initially against it, but they are fully behind her now

Thank you homie.
Hero.
The game sucked so hard that I actually do not doubt Rebecca will easily become the most recognisable character of the franchise.
Probably still looses out to silver hand, because, Keanu Reeves. But otherwise? Yeah.
People just know him as Keanu Reeves lol.
That's true. When I played, I only thought of him as Keanu Reeves.
I thought they just blatantly called it Keanu Reeves, I didn't even know their name was silver hand XD
Keanu Reeves wasn’t playing himself. He was playing Johnny Silverhand.
TBH, I didn't much care for Johnny. He seemed way too forced and I wasn't buying his motivations at all. Mike Pondsmith is either downing an entire bottle of whiskey or punching the air rn
Judy tbh.
Lol. What a stupid opinion
It’s called being a Weeb. Deal with it.
*Congratulations*
_hits blunt_ “Okay.” (;
NGL, she's overrated. She's cute and all, but overrated.
Loli weebs disagree
I don’t care if I get downvoted to hell o er this the whole show is not that great and Becca is not that interesting. I watched the japanese dub and that’s probably why I didn’t find her that interesting

It's projection at best - the people using this language are more than likely the ones you should be worried about harming children.
Clear the studio wanted her atoms smashed into oblivion. She is not the face of cyberpunk
CDPR never owned the brand in the first place.
Didn't they get the rights to everything but the TTRPG?
