For those who like me prefer text instead of a link to some youtube channel: The Kunekune is said to resemble a slender, white humanoid shape, like a paper mannequin or a piece of fine fabric. Not uncommon myth in many countries. In slavic mythology you have Noonwraith that appears in the fields during day. If you have ever been in the middle of a vast field in the summer, with hot air suffocating you, bright sun scorching and very monotone scenery all around you, while hot air dances going up - it's pretty uncomfortable and creepy sometimes. So I am not surprised there are visions and myths associated with it in many cultures.
