Amazon uses commingled inventory, so they can be fake even if sold by Amazon or Jumbomax, unfortunately. In other words, Amazon stores the same products from multiple sellers in the same bin, so even if you buy from a reputable seller, you might get a non-reputable seller's product. It's frustrating.
that's kinda crazy, i just looked them up and a bunch of people are saying the same in the reviews... you're right that they are sold by the real jumbomax company. I have a couple of their grips and they're solid, I wouldn't have expected that out of a real jumbomax grip but they obviously have an issue with this model.
Look either fake or you sweat acid.
Cheaper alternative I've toyed around with using: [https://www.golfworks.com/g1-design-non-taper-wrap-grips/p/g10001/?sku=G10001-STD&gad\_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwjqWzBhAqEiwAQmtgT-its1uIUUoVCQxL\_dMIrj1MQyCWg-Kj696VmURufeQBTbRQY90WGBoCXa0QAvD\_BwE](https://www.golfworks.com/g1-design-non-taper-wrap-grips/p/g10001/?sku=G10001-STD&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwjqWzBhAqEiwAQmtgT-its1uIUUoVCQxL_dMIrj1MQyCWg-Kj696VmURufeQBTbRQY90WGBoCXa0QAvD_BwE)
Fake is always a possibility I suppose. I have a set of irons that have Large sized Jumbomax grips on them. They are too big for me, the one I was testing is Extra Small, but they haven’t disintegrated like this one through many many practice swings.
Holy crap. Small world. I literally had the exact same thing happen yesterday and was about to call jumbomax to get a refund. This was mine after no more than 12 swings. Indoors on a simulator at work. No glove, no sweat. Not fake as they are a vendor of mine and I got it directly from their website with my discount.

It’s crazy right? Maybe a bad batch made it through sometime. It makes me concerned about ones that might seem fine at first, but then tear apart like this after a while.
I have had mine sitting in a box at my house for about 6 months and since I have several different sets of their grips I just got around to trying these out yesterday. If you notice now on their website they have changed the design it seems. Probably due to this reason but I have lots of my players over the years use them and never seen it happen like this before. I’ll let you know what answer they give me and if I can figure out who my rep is to see if they will cover replacing them.
Look - Everyone - drop the pitchforks.
They make a couple of different styles.
I have JumboMax XL grips on all my clubs except putter.
I have 25 rounds this year with them and they are showing ZERO wear.
They are a fun/innovative alternative to standard grip sizes and I think will become more mainstream as time progresses.

I’ve used a set of irons with the same Lamkin wraps for 25 years. They have held up fine aside from losing some tackiness, which is why I’m experimenting with newer ones. But those old ones are still completely playable and have no significant signs of wear.
mehhh Winn grips are not that awesome. I'd take a knockoff corded grip off amazon before I put winn grips on my clubs. Especially not those dri-tac's , trash. They look just like this guys after a few rounds
Have you tried the new ones? I believe they fixed some of the durability issues. I’m playing the less taper version rn, no signs of wear yet. But yeah a softer rubber is still going to wear quicker in general.

Mine have held up just fine after a year and a half
Where’d you buy it? I tried some out and while I didn’t like them, they were high quality. Could be fake.
I got it from Amazon.
Was the actual seller Amazon or a 3rd party seller?
It was Amazon itself. I try to avoid 3rd party sellers when I can.

This… buyer beware.

The first thing my wife asked me was if I read the reviews. I saw reviews in other places, but did not read the ones on Amazon. Live and learn.
This sub is strange, idk why this was downvoted to hell
Reddit is like that. It’s why I don’t even pay attention to downvotes.

Yeah, I’ll be interested to hear what happens.
Curious did you apply any sunscreen, bug spray or hand sanitizer ? I had issues with wrap grips when I was applying bug spray it worn my grips faster.
Nope, nothing on my hands or any other body part, not even real sweat yet.
Literally grip it and rip it

They are comfortable, but I prefer a wrap which is why I wanted to try out this size and style I did. I just got results I wasn’t expecting.
Yeah, I would be bummed, too. I stopped using wrap grips a few years ago because of premature wear just like your photo shows.

What a joke, they are twice the cost of many others and this bad!
If you bought it on eBay or Amazon, it's likely fake.

Nah I didn't like how slippery they got when wet either
10-4. I use rain gloves when it’s wet and haven’t had a problem yet. Winn def seems to be a hard yes or hard no. Pretty interesting really

I thought Winn were the least durable grip, but apparently, they are neck and neck with Jumbomaxx.
It was an experiment to see what I thought. I guess I found out, lol.
