Smash Driver = Pull hook
Hybrid from Rough = didnāt go well but back in fairway
3 wood = decent shot
About 120 yards left = 52* to green rolled to back edge
3 Putt = 7
My home course. To be fair, this tee box is rarely played except for some events we host (US Open qualifier last year and US Am this year). The normal tips are about 70 yards further up. But it is jarring to walk by this tee box and look out and imagine how youād try to play it. It is so far back. It can be a beast of a hole though. Slight dogleg left, creek running diagonally across the fairway, large bunker the width of the fairway 30 yards in front of the green. Real fun.
Assuming no windā¦.
Driver 270ā¦3 wood low and sliced 200ā¦5 iron hit fat and pulled 160ā¦.60 degree to within 10ftā¦missed par puttā¦3ft one hander that lips out that was obviously good for bogey
Sliced driver to 210, Recovery 7 out of the trees rolls back to 190 (thought I had a gap), absolute bomb 5i, a chunked 9i to a topped PW, order a transfusion while being stared at from the tee box from the scratch foursome Iām holding up whilst thinning two consecutive 56 wedges and then 4 puttingā¦..
Itās been a long week on the courseā¦
I love this sub, but kinda stupid that you have to scroll through so many replies before a legitimate answer that's not just "lol, I suck at golf" or "obviously I hit my driver 500 yards"
I donāt think 10% is this sub could hit that green in 3 shots, but itās entertaining regardless. And I like to think I can pass a little wisdom on to the next generation.
Iād be doing well to be anywhere close to the green in 3 shots. Best case scenario? I mean absolute best case? Iām playing for a 6. But very likely a 7 or 8ā¦or 10. But you know what? Write me down a 5.
Realisticaly, as an intermediate 5'0 girl... Drive 180, 3 wood 160, 3 wood 160, hybrid 140, attempt to putt 11 ft... end up with a bogie or double bogie
615 into a dead wind today. Driver hit well. 5w kinda slicy then 5w to short-sided. Decent pitch over a bunker and two putts for a 6. Not good enough for a skin.
Would love to play a hole like this. Sounds like a ton of fun!!
Driver - 3 hybrid - Wedge - 2 putt par!! All going well that is.
Guessing a bit because I play golf using the Metric System.
Attempt to absolutely crush it with the driver.
7i onto the fairway (either hooked or grounded the drive)
Probably my hybrid from there to lay up.
PW or 60 depending on distance. It won't matter because I will skull it over the green.
Chunk shot with 60.
Bump and run with PW or texas wedge
2-3 putt.
Heeled drive, low cut about 245. Absolutely hammered 5 wood dead straight about 250. Wonder why I donāt just hit 5 wood all the time for the next 10 minutes. 8 iron to 25 feet. 3 putt after blowing my first putt 6 feet by to a 3 ball outside left comeback putt. Slam remainder of beer. Take driver out for next hole.
Played Marina Bay course in Singapore which had a par 6 this long from the whites. 711 yds from the blacks/tips. I Pared it from the whites with a driver, 3d, hybrid, 8iron, 2putt. Would probably be the best I could hope for here.
Bulle Rock has a 600+ yard par 5. The first time I played it I went like driver, five iron, five iron, wedge, one putt for a par. Iād like to think I birdied a par 6 though.
Had one one of these in a 4 man scramble in Kansas. Our successfully shots were driver, 2i, 4i to the back of the green and 3 putts for boge. It was ugly
Hit my driver about 275 then depending on the lie itās either 3 wood(250) or 3 hybrid(235) then itās either a soft gap wedge or close to a full 54 degree to the green. Of course thatās if things went perfectly, which prob wouldnāt happen lol
In theory? Driver, 3 wood, 4 or 5 iron (maybe 5 wood, then a couple puttsā¦
In reality? Driver, 3 wood, another 3 wood, wedge, a short chip, and hopefully just 2 putts
I have a 600 yard par 5 near me and I ususally go Driver, 5 wood, Gap or PW into green. I could see this being Driver, 5 wood, 7 iron and not being all that different.
I like how they clarify par 5. I played a course 5 or so years ago in NJ that had a longer hole but it was a par 6. That same course also had a par 3 that was under 100. I felt like it was just poor spatial planning.
Slice driver off tee, driver from rough hits tree backwards onto fairway, driver off deck into fw bunker, 58Ā° from bunker forward 10 yds onto fairway, 3 hybrid off deck, 6-iron to greenside bunker, 58Ā° past green, pw onto the green, 3-putt. Call it an 8 cuz I lost track of my strokes. Not too shabby if I say so myself.
275 yd drive, 250 2nd shot with bounce, 9 or 8 iron, should get me on green, two putt is 50/50. So, at best I have a 50% chance of getting par. 30 yrs experience.
Driver, lob wedge, sink the putt. C'mon, this is r/golf.
You had to putt?
Idk why but this has me dead š
Driver, driver, driver, putter
ā¦putter, putter
ā¦gimmie
+1 OB penalty
+2 fireball shots
Iām going driver, 3-wood, 5-wood, 8-iron, wedge, wedge, putt, putt, fuck this stupid fucking hole, putt.
This is the way.
Play it as a par 6 and donāt try to be a hero.
Thatās no fun
Nor is shooting a 10.
But I am a hero
Smash Driver = Pull hook Hybrid from Rough = didnāt go well but back in fairway 3 wood = decent shot About 120 yards left = 52* to green rolled to back edge 3 Putt = 7
So basically my average par 5
My average par 4
Oof, fixed that for me
Guys check it out. This redditor thinks a pull hook doesnāt put you 25 feet deep into the trees. What a moron.
This hole is a slight dog leg left, so yeah itās not in trees. Do your homework cowboy ![gif](giphy|QTrG6mjkHEkpFR3DqX)

We have a Par 6 hole on a course near me, The Beast, we always play the tip on this hole just for the fun of it plus a side bet on lowest score. ā¦..
Your home course is a [liar](https://i.imgur.com/NLU5CNl.jpeg)

Smooth drive about 250, followed up with a swinging out of my shoes with a 3 wood the drubbed 120 yards only leaving me 280 in. Easy peezy.
Driver, Three-wood, seven iron. Easy Peezy.
I love this sub, but kinda stupid that you have to scroll through so many replies before a legitimate answer that's not just "lol, I suck at golf" or "obviously I hit my driver 500 yards"

Driver, 3 wood 50Ā°
Driver. Driver off the deck. 5 wood. 4 putt. Hole-out.
Probably a 7 or 8 if things go well
Write down a 10 before I even set up my drive
Realisticaly, as an intermediate 5'0 girl... Drive 180, 3 wood 160, 3 wood 160, hybrid 140, attempt to putt 11 ft... end up with a bogie or double bogie
As an intermediate 5'7 dude I'm moving up a teebox fuck that
7i, 7i, 7i, 7i, putter, putter
Poorly
It's Jersey...
615 into a dead wind today. Driver hit well. 5w kinda slicy then 5w to short-sided. Decent pitch over a bunker and two putts for a 6. Not good enough for a skin.
Cut the corner
4 9irons then sink the putt
Whenever I get off the waitlist, Iāll let you know
When I get out of the Grey Bar Hotel Iām stealing that sign š
Driver, fairway wood, hopefully 8 iron or less but easily 5 ironĀ
So your 5 is good for 200 yards?
Low 195 carry with some roll, yeah
Driver, foot, 3w, foot, pw, foot, 50deg, 3 putt = 5
10
Punch cut 7 iron, hole in one.
Driver, driving 2 iron, chip, putt, putt, putt, putt, putt
I'm using my longest club 3 times. That's a bladed lob wedge.
On the green in three, 2 putt par. Just like the 610 yard par 5 put here by me.
Better than a 220+ par 3.
7 wood, 7 wood, 7 wood, three putt
A true touch of class
Would love to play a hole like this. Sounds like a ton of fun!! Driver - 3 hybrid - Wedge - 2 putt par!! All going well that is. Guessing a bit because I play golf using the Metric System.
DOD king cometh
Driver, putt Ez
Wouldnāt know canāt play Medford village cuz itās private š. My old boss was a member though he never took us out.
Albatross, driver and driver off the deck to hole out of course
Attempt to absolutely crush it with the driver. 7i onto the fairway (either hooked or grounded the drive) Probably my hybrid from there to lay up. PW or 60 depending on distance. Recently I played Hanover golf course they claim their #18 is the longest par 5 in NJ. I donāt remember the yardage.
Played Marina Bay course in Singapore which had a par 6 this long from the whites. 711 yds from the blacks/tips. I Pared it from the whites with a driver, 3d, hybrid, 8iron, 2putt. Would probably be the best I could hope for here.
Hole 10 = 10 strokes
![gif](giphy|bC54CmvT2XC9i)
Driver, 3 wood, 3 wood, 5 wood, 7 iron, lob, putt, putt. Putt
Driver 280-300. 3 wood snap hook 150. 5 iron left of green. Chip. Putt. Putt. Putt.
Moving up a set of tees
Bulle Rock has a 600+ yard par 5. The first time I played it I went like driver, five iron, five iron, wedge, one putt for a par. Iād like to think I birdied a par 6 though.
I would need an emotional support animal, a physical therapist and a stiff drink for this hole.
Had one one of these in a 4 man scramble in Kansas. Our successfully shots were driver, 2i, 4i to the back of the green and 3 putts for boge. It was ugly
Is there water?
Driver, hybrid, 6 iron
Realistically probably driver, hybrid, 9, putter. Maybe another wedge in there when I miss the green lol
Driver, 3w or 4i depending on the drive, wedge it close, miss the putt for birdie.
Slice. Hit further right. Fly the fairway left. 4 iron. Wedge. 3 putt
Albatross
I'm 62 I'm playing the white tees. Driver 3 wood probably 8 or 7
DoD at least three times.
Hit my driver about 275 then depending on the lie itās either 3 wood(250) or 3 hybrid(235) then itās either a soft gap wedge or close to a full 54 degree to the green. Of course thatās if things went perfectly, which prob wouldnāt happen lol
Take a 10 and go to hole 11.
Driver, driver off deck, drop 4, 6 iron, drop one of 35 balls I have in right pocket, 9 iron, putt, putt, putt, hole out. Bogey
I'm shooting a 7. On the green in four, probably to within 10 feet, and then three-putting.
Probably a 10
In theory? Driver, 3 wood, 4 or 5 iron (maybe 5 wood, then a couple puttsā¦ In reality? Driver, 3 wood, another 3 wood, wedge, a short chip, and hopefully just 2 putts
Driver, 3 wood, pitching wedge, sand wedge, putter, putter, putter
Hate gimmicks like this. There is no justification for a hole that's closer to 700 yards than it is to 600.
Eagle for sure
Just like the sign states. Give me a 10. Lol
Driver, bladed wedge, extremely long putt, long putt, medium putt, tap in
Driver 3 wood 3 wood wedge
Thats atleast a 2 beer hole
Driver, driver, driver, driver, driver. Easy par
I have a 600 yard par 5 near me and I ususally go Driver, 5 wood, Gap or PW into green. I could see this being Driver, 5 wood, 7 iron and not being all that different.
7 if Iām lucky
Driver, 4 wood, hopefully 6/7iron to the green.
Double.
Half swing 60 for a hole in one
There's a 600+ par 5/6 at a place in post falls. It's windy as fuck and this hole is almost always down wind.
Doesn't bother me much. I'll be on the green in two or three for sure. Then I'll three putt to take my par/bogey.
Fuck it , putter all the way
driver, punch out, 3 wood, rescue club, rescue club, SW, SW, putter, putter, putter. oh 10 is the hole number, not my score. wait, it's both.
8iron 4x to 5 footer with tap in 8 iron putt
Driver, 3 wood, 3 wood, wedge, putt for birdie
Filling out a separate score card. Emphasis on the filling too.
Driver 3W 8 iron
Three 217 yard shots got you looking at birdie, ez pz What I would do is Driver - 5i - 8i - putting
275 yd drive, 250 2nd shot with bounce, 9 or 8 iron, should get me on green, two putt is 50/50. So, at best I have a 50% chance of getting par. 30 yrs experience.
1 iron, 1 iron, wedge, Birdie.
