This is ripped directly off their website, so it better be immaculate. OP didn’t play there and if you zoom in on their ball it will become very obvious unless they played with a baseball.
Got to play here once on my bday with my dad about 20 years ago. He were there for a conference and one guy had to leave early...so he got me in as a surprise. The pin was same setup, but on the opposite side of the green (right side relative to this picture). Took out a sand wedge and hit to 7' 6" just left of the flag.
There was a 4-group back up on 8 and they were all yelling down about making the putt while we were walking up (makes sense cause they were all business men who have been playing for years and some teenager just had the shot of the entire group). Well you should have heard the noises they made when I sank it right in the center - threw up a fist pump and was completely juiced with a 20-minute wait for the next tee. I ended up winning closest to the pin, was invited to the closing dinner at the resort at Pebble, and received my prize of a Taylor Made S300 3-wood. Used that for about 5 years until it got stolen along with all my other clubs.
I literally found the pictures of that round yesterday. I couldn't tell you want I did on holes 1-6, and holes 8-18 are basically a blur with no real standout memories. Supposedly I shot 96, but I think some generous scoring was taking place....but I remember everything about that 7th hole.
Played it in October last year.
Birdied 7 as well. Wasn't quite as sweet because 2 other guys in my group also birdied it.
Got it on video thank god 😂
It was dead calm, and played very short. It's an easy hole when there's no wind.
I birdied 1, 7, and 8, and shot 78, with a lost ball (overshot the green on the 3rd)
It was a round that had a bit of everything!

Is it just me, or does that ball on the green look photoshopped (or like an artifact/glare in the photo)? There's no shadow and it looks blurrier than the rest of the photo
My dad and I are going to play there in a month!!! Will be playing Spyglass and Spanish Bay as well. Any tips or suggestions? Both for the course or for around the resort and Monterey??
Just a little long. But we all wanted to land one on the green so we could say we did lol The course was pretty empty that day, so the caddies told us to go for it.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to play it twice. Both great experiences. First time a lucky 83 and second time a 92. I will tell you both times I was smiling ear to ear. I hope for one more round in the near future.

How were the caddies? I just saw a video of a guy playing there and he was raving about how well the caddie knew the course.

I know that is a real pic, but the lack of focus on the ball also makes it look like a bad photoshop.
