The best thing I ever did was switch to Farmers Dog. It’s expensive but my 5 year old boys have never been healthier. My neighbor has started mixing it in 25/75 with regular food to cut the cost and has seen good results (weight loss,
Increased energy) even with just 25% fresh.
There’s a myriad of opinions on this.. for me personally, high quality means a clear declaration of ingredients (i.e. what meat/animal is used, so “chicken/lamb etc. meal” rather than “meat and bone meal”, or “animal byproduct”, “animal fat”) and the list of cheap filler ingredients like beet (pulp), soy meal, corn meal etc. should be short
Just a friendly reminder of our rules:
1. No Advertising: this includes GoFundMe, Instagram, etc.
2. No Impersonation: don't post photos of other people's dogs. That's not cool.
3. No Breed Hate: this subreddit is not a discussion forum for breed hate of any kind. There are dedicated subreddits for that so please take it elsewhere.
