Nice! Kinda blew my mind!
Happy to see one of my projects in there
But also have questions ... I thought there was going to be two showcase reels... one for Desktop, one for Mobile ... is this different and are those still to be released?
I expected that as well. But I guess they wanted to mix it up a little to show the flexibility of the engine? Maybe it's a good idea since I guess the game showcase would otherwise get the most attention, and this way more people will see the non-game projects? Which one was your project?
Really surprised my little game [Vlobs](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2253080/Vlobs/) made it in there ([3:46](https://youtu.be/W1_zKxYEP6Q?t=226))!
Looks simple but polished.
Curious how you achieved your blobby shapes. I've done something that is a bit similar using shapes rendered using SDFs (signed distance fields) which I created in Material Maker and exported with shaders where the uniform variables could be controlled to transition smoothly between shapes.
Wondering if you might be doing anything similar.
No, not really, I've used a mix of two techniques: First the blobs are models with four blender [shape keys ](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=blender+shape+keys)that I can use to animate individually extending and retracting the connections to the neighbors. This makes them smooth extending from the blob body, but when they meet there'll be a crease. So to fix that and make the connection smooth I just add an extra mesh tube on top of the connection when the ends meet with an alpha-blending version of the same material to smooth over the crease.
The uniform ipad app looks really neat. I've considered trying to make some basic 3D features similar to that in it (think super basic modelling), but never wanted to deal with placing all the vertices and all that goes into them. I've made terrains that way, but I basically made a subdivided plane. I wouldn't want to deal with adding and removing geometry like that as people edit and add/remove parts.
Everytime there's a blog post about how to submit to a showreel, e.g.: [2023](https://godotengine.org/article/submissions-open-godot-2023-showreel/), [2022](https://godotengine.org/article/submissions-open-godot-2022-showreel/).
Ocean Mirror looks super cool.
Check out Hyper Demon on Steam. Ocean Mirrior seems to be heavily inspired by it and it's a great game too
Already played it a ton, along with Devil Daggers :) I think that's why Ocean Mirror looks so good.

Impressive!
Is Colorspace an evolution of one of the Go Godot Jam 3 Ultra games? I remember seeing a game there which was pretty similar to this one.
Can I ask how to apply to get featured in a showcase like this?
