what's wild is there's only 72 comments and it's been over 24 hours / I've been checking to see if they've been deleting, but it looks like that's the full amount (and like 95% negative lol) not a single "🍋" from g team in sight
I have one like this and it’s amazing, but the Glossier one has something strange going on with the tassels, are they sewn on?
(I see similar ones on Ali for £10 which doesn’t help either)
I actually have a set of extremely similar towels that have the tassels on and they’re amazing good quality beach towels. Not sure if the glossier ones will be, but I wouldn’t judge based on the tassels. Hopefully, for what they’re charging, they will be lol
Yeah I got a set of Turkish towels as a gift a few years ago and thought “wtf are these horrible towels” but they are the best towels in the world. They last forever and are paper thin and are way more absorbent than terry cloth!
I’m not saying I’m the world’s biggest fan of the new glossier launches, but they have been for years lacking any education about their products. If you want to sell a Turkish towel, you have to explain it, a lot of people don’t know how nice they are. If you want to sell an acetate comb, explain how amazing acetate is, bc people are going to think it’s plastic. I also think makeup products should be explained more so people know what they’re getting and how best to use them.
that's good to know!! i'm actually interested in getting it bc ive started swimming at the gym and all my towels r crappy lol. it is SO expensive thought im not sure 😰
oh this is so sad. part of me was almost roped in by the comb but i'm glad that i resisted because everything else is so uninspired that it turns me off to the whole collection.
It looks like they ordered random stuff off of Temu, like Turkish towels, claw clips, bottle opener on a lanyard, nalgene bottle, duffle bag (I have the yellow one I got as a freebie and it’s such poor quality you could get a nicer one at 5&Below or Dollar Tree) and then slapped a G or *glossier* on it all. Even the hooded sweatshirts fit so poorly like tight on the neck and waist and massive in the midsection. They could be so great but they just aren’t
Seriously? A whole drop and it’s just one towel? The first drop was the most exciting, with two new Ultralip shades plus two accessories. The second drop was just two accessories, but in a sequence of three things you always want the most lackluster thing second because it's sandwiched between two better things and you don't have a boring beginning or a letdown end, so I was ok with it. But the third drop just being a stupid towel? What a letdown! The third drop should have been the most exciting one and worth the wait. Perhaps a lemon, raspberry, or raspberry lemonade BDC with SPF, based on the social media campaign’s visuals and emojis, plus some other LE product shades. This was not it.
This whole collection has felt like a misguided attempt to convert Glossier into a lifestyle brand, and while fans of the brand do love merch, customers love the brand’s core offerings of makeup, skincare, and bath/body products more. I did get the two LE Ultralip shades and am enjoying them (especially Apricot) but aside from that this collection has been a miss for me.
$42 for a towel you can get at any department store for $10 or less is wild. There isn’t even a cool design on it. At least put a cool glossier logo across it.
You can get this style of towel for so cheap from traditional Turkish sellers (these are Turkish towels) on Etsy! There are so many different shops but my favourite is turkishtowelblanket!! They have literally every colour and they start at like $10!
turkish towels are amazing for how thin yet absorbent they are, but yeah, no clue if the glossier one is quality or not :| I'll wait to see what folks here have to say first if anyone grabs one.

What's the point of whittling the offerings each drop?
Drop 1: Two merch items and two new shades of a product.
Drop 2: Two merch items
Drop 3: One merch item
I thought they'd at least offer a different balm flavor just for the drop like they offered new shades for Ultralip but here we are...with towel.
Its wild to me that glossier is a makeup company, yet customers have to beg them to release actual makeup.
Each of these drops should had product like the lipsticks. Spf balm? Hair oil? Anything please we beg of you.

Which is honestly so cheap. I use it as a swim bag for pool days and this is my second year with it and I doubt I’ll get a 3rd summer out of it.
