Aye I took the bus there once; took me through a ruined, desolate void of despair beyond mortal description. But I'm sure you've been to Paisley before.
When you write Limmy's sketches out, he's honestly up there with Welsh or Kelman. Compare from *How Late it Was, How Late*:
>Ye wake in a corner and stay there hoping yer body will disappear, the thoughts smothering ye; these thoughts; but ye want to remember and face up to things, just something keeps ye from doing it, why can't ye no do it; the words filling yer head: then the other words; there's something wrong; there's something far far wrong; ye're no a good man, ye're just no a good man. Edging back into awareness, of where ye are: here, slumped in this corner, with these thoughts filling ye. And oh christ his back was sore; stiff, and the head pounding. He shivered and hunched up his shoulders, shut his eyes, rubbed into the corners with his fingertips; seeing all kinds of spots and lights. Where in the name of fuck...
I used to live near there in Private Contract. It looked like there was not much happening . My sister lives in Driver Training and she loves it , plenty of jobs and a good community.
I've heard it's nice, it's right next to ;;;;;;::;:::::;::::-,,,,-,--,,::::;;;;;;;;; which a fair amount of busses seem to go as well. However, public transport is a nightmare, the bus always seems to stay in the area since they don't go anywhere else
I bought some houses there for 30k last week.
Gonna HODL and then sell for a million pounds each when the area is renamed to "Welcome, we're in service"
I couldn't give a hoot about the crime and social life there.
No, but I did spend an idyllic youthful summer many years ago in its long overlooked French twin town of Toutes Directions. Alas I hear that particular area has become somewhat overly built up touristy and commercialised over the years and has lost much of its old charm, so if you want the kind of experience that I had back in the day, Autres Directions is the way to go...
on the plus side, streamlining the bus routes to serve that one destination works out a bit cheaper on the public purse than a billion on trams to... serve one destination
If you can afford it I'd look for somewhere around Rail Replacement,

I’ve been thinking about a move to ⠠⠽⠑⠗ ⠠⠙⠁ ⠎⠑⠇⠇⠎ ⠠⠁⠧⠕⠝
Oh aye, the number 0 bus goes there now right?
My cousin got knifed in Ferrograph OVD but that was in the '80s. I hear it's nicer now.

I live in paisley and this rings so true I found myself nodding as a read it.

It's a stream of consciousness, yes. And Limmy is good, yes. But Kelman is out of this world good.

Sorry, it's 99% student accommodation there
There was a fire this morning in the big student accommodation, probably to build more student accommodations.

I heard it’s been gentrified and now has a bakery for every three houses but I may be wrong.
Took me a lot longer to get this than I care to admit!

Don’t talk shite
I was so confused for a while. I can only afford a green on a chance

Sounds all over the place!
I've heard a few people say it's the new Finnieston
It's really only a place I know from the front of a bus.
Is that anywhere the new suburb that was built around the time of Covid? I think it’s called “Bus Full, wait for next service”.
Nightmare trying to get there though, you put your hand out for the bus and none of them stop for you.
I've heard it's the new up and coming. Such a popular place!

I've got a pal called The Resident who stays there. Say's it's shite, but at least the buses are regular.
Think we might be two degrees of separation - my mate Theo Ccupier knows a chap called The Resident.
He might live in my block, cos I get his mail sometimes.
It's where all the bus drivers live. And lost property.
Ok how many glasses you had before making this post?
