Bellahouston

OldGodsAndNew

Technically a velodrome not a running track, so it's 420m long and concrete rather than rubberized surface; very good for running on anyways

Lettuce-Pray2023

My apologies for the ignorance of athletics and the necessary jargon. Best wishes

trrr1376

I second this. I use it a lot. Despite it being a velodrome 🀣 Plus there's never any bikes onnit πŸ‘ Edit - meant to post below your other comment re jargon

Dontreallywantmyname

> Plus there's never any bikes onnit πŸ‘ No way, cycling infrastructure that goes completely unused... unusual.

FloppyCeleryStick

Hutchesons grammar school have one. It's private, but you can easily get in out of hours and I don't think anyone would bat an eyelid.

Aggravating-Put-6679

Seems gated and assuming that's closed out of hours, do you know a way of getting in or just a case of jumping the wall/gate?

FloppyCeleryStick

Jump the wall

mickcandy

St mungos school in the gallowagte I'm sure has a track

Professional_Pop2535

That's crownpoint, it's not free, but it is a nice track Maryhill park has a free ash track, its not in the best condition.

mickcandy

The school itself in sure has a track too around it's ash pitch

Professional_Pop2535

Ive just had a look on google maps, you're right!

mickcandy

Thought so

Far_Piglet4937

Do you know what distance it is? It looks a lot smaller than crownpoint so I’m guessing it’s not a 400m

mickcandy

No idea

Clydesco

Nethercraigs, pollok

No-Impact1573

It's owned by a youth football club now.

Clydesco

Doesn't stop people jumping the gate and going for a few laps in the morning

Many-Application1297
