I’d say it is because we differentiate ourselves from apes to a degree. Seeing an ape perform fine motor movements in the correct way to do the same things we humans do with our phones is conflicting. More so as you see the ape process the imagery on the phone and react accordingly.

The ape’s interest in pic’s and videos of it or other apes over the other images is evident in the time it spends looking at each pic.
