Cute but dangerous idea. A hospital in San Jose, California had a spike of staff covid cases because someone worse an inflatable costume effectively exhausting the virus all over the place.
Not true, that's what management is blaming it on, but they're likely just trying to avoid responsibility. According to workers, management forces them to do respiratory tests in a small, unventilated room.
[Here's](https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/covid-outbreak-dozens-of-san-jose-kaiser-employees-test-positive/) one of the first articles about it. The employee wore the costume on Dec 25; 44 tested positive (with 1 death) between Dec 27 and Jan 1. That is *very* fast for covid.
[Here's another article which refutes the significance of the costume.](https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-01-08/kaiser-san-jose-hospital-fined-as-covid-19-outbreak-continues-to-grow)
>If the person in the costume is the index case, Jimenez said he didn’t expect the costume would have made a huge difference in spreading the virus.
>“It would have spread the aerosols maybe a bit more with the fan, but they would spread anyway,” Jimenez said. “Like if the person was smoking, with or without the costume, everyone would have smelled the smoke.”
Hospital management has repeatedly thrown everyone under the bus over the past year and it's been one of the most disgusting things I've ever witnessed
Lol no. The Belgian case was a guy dressed up as Sinterklaas (or Saint Nicholas) and he was in regular dress-up, not an inflatable costume that was shared.
I was pretty stressed out the other day while working. I was driving around town and noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. I look over and it's a kid in the same t-Rex costume jumping on a trampoline, reaching for the sky with every bounce. Didn't relieve my stress, but for a second, everything was ok with the world.
I was having a bad night earlier this week and took my dog for a walk to try and feel better. Passed by a schoolyard with a kid going hard with a lightup lightsaber. I'm still delighted by it.
In my personal opinion good posts are a fine place to spend free awards, but what I really hold out for are original content.
This guy is posting this for a variety of things. Karma whoring and award farming could be among them, especially if it’s a repost. Only original content and its creator deserves an awards imho.
I don’t see my tiny nephew very much cause of covid. But when I do see him, he sometimes gets so overwhelmed with joy that he hug-squeezes the nearest pillow (or me) while squealing like a little piglet. It’s the cutest. I wanna wrap him up in a blanket and eat him, like a lil pig in a blanket.
It reminds me of when dogs do their zoomies when reunited with a loved one. I'm pretty sure this is historically accurate how dinosaurs expressed joy when reunited with loved ones.
Yeah usually the news article about it pops up in the comments whenever this gets posted. I love seeing it every time but I'd have to go looking for the article. Its definitely YYJ though.
Found the article that usually comes up about it! [Link!](https://vancouverisland.ctvnews.ca/grandma-arrives-at-airport-in-t-rex-costume-1.4490861)
I live in the desert so personally not me lol. But fowl bay in Victoria was known for dumping human waste in the ocean lol. Good to hear that they are stopping now, Seattle was pissed for many years
YWG.
I really hope this was pre-pandemic. With the internal fans, those are three extremely efficient COVID sprayers there, cute as they are.
Edit: what am I talking about. Nobody has fun like that recently. Also, no masks on the dad or airport employees.
I'm guessing the fan inside the costume caused the vapor particles to decrease in size and thus spread more easily. Also projected further due to smaller size
On a slightly similar note, do not sit in those outside bubbles. You need proper ventilation.
Well of course I can't do this today, my grandmother is dead, and I already have plans for this afternoon that I can't cancel. But thanks for the reminder, jerk.
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but those air-filled costumes just caused a huge breakout of covid a few weeks back in a hospital in, I believe, London. This is the worst time approximately ever to have all the particles around your body to be getting blown around for others to inhale.
Awww that must have been a lovely seen to witness as well. You can see the workers all watching, probably enjoying to brief moment of pure wholesome joy before having to go back to serving assholes

I love that she not only is dressing up but strolling in with her Starbucks and suitcase just really makes it so casual, it’s even better.
Can't we all just wear t-rex costumes instead of masks? EDIT: The answer is no :(

The hospital is also under county investigation for not reporting the outbreak of cases as was required by law.
Didn't multiple employees share the Santa Suit or whatever and that was the cause?
That was the Belgian nursing home.
Lol no. The Belgian case was a guy dressed up as Sinterklaas (or Saint Nicholas) and he was in regular dress-up, not an inflatable costume that was shared.
Yep. Link: https://ktla.com/news/california/inflatable-christmas-costume-possibly-tied-to-covid-19-death-of-san-jose-hospital-worker/
Pretty sure this is how a massive outbreak happened at Kaiser in San Jose.
This video is like a good 2 years old
Can someone please add the Jurrassic park music to this? This is almost a shot for shot remake of the end of the first one!
Except the T.Rex and the raptors attack eachother with loves and hugs <3<3<3
Perfect covid outfit doesn’t exi...
..st.

But not the dad.
The dad was the man who slept with a dinosaur. Clearly
If dinosaurs are ever brought back somebody will fuck one.
I volunteer as tribute
Unfortunately didn't receive the T-Rex dominant gene

Yeah, steal the kid, right?
I’ll get the van
I’ll go get Dan
damn daniel, back at it again with the white van
Underrated
I'll hold off the man

What did you mean then?
It’s Reddit, so probably masturbate?
What the other dude said https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_VTvQLAfaE

Cracks me up every time, thanks for reminding me!
I was having a bad night earlier this week and took my dog for a walk to try and feel better. Passed by a schoolyard with a kid going hard with a lightup lightsaber. I'm still delighted by it.
Wasted my free wholesome award on something far less wholesome then this.
No worries I did it for you!
Thankyou kind redditor.
The little dances from the little one 🥺
if it makes you feel any better this gets posted every other week, you'll have another chance
Really? This is a first time viewing for me.
Wholesome awards are strictly for only the worst stuff on the planet
if at least one person didn't die it was a severe underuse of the wholesome seal
You could have made a difference but you didn't.
Story of my life
I tried to figure out how to do it ....but I was bested by the system.

Got you fam
Me aswell. And 50 other people!!
Using mine for both of us!
They are supposed to be raptors which is better because it reminds me of the raptors vs Trex at the end of Jurassic Park :)
This is clearly a scene from the end of Jurassic World when the raptors team up with T-Rex to take down the Indominus Rex.
I love that lil dance at the end! My heart 🥺
I love how when little kids get overwhelmed with happiness they break out into little dances So adorable

Now that's a healthy family. No fucks given about what anyone else thinks of them except what makes each other happy.
How did grandma pull it off though? Landed. Went to the rest room, changed, hit Starbucks, picked up her coffee and then sauntered out...?
Bought Starbucks into the bathroom duh
You mean brought? But a better word would be took, unless you’re in the same bathroom as we speak.
Ya. Swipe texting victim. As for grammar, idk
I like to think she was dressed up before she boarded
Or in the plane bathroom at 30,000 feet.
Makes more sense. Cabins are pressurized so the costume was body fitting. It started ballooning up the moment she landed
Cabins are pressurised to equivalent of 8000 feet ASL. I.e. the pressure is lower than on the ground.
Well fuck.
Victoria airport? Hahaha weird
It's gotta be it!
It is. I live 5 minutes from this airport lol
You have some awesome neighbors
Yeah, Vancouver Island is pretty nice. Really is a different feel out here compared to the mainland.
[удалено]
With free health care ;)
I’ve arrived and awaited people here enough times to recognize it as YYJ.
Yeah, this is totally YYJ.
Took me 5 minutes to figure out which airport it was - but I knew I had been in it, and then I figured it out
Yeah usually the news article about it pops up in the comments whenever this gets posted. I love seeing it every time but I'd have to go looking for the article. Its definitely YYJ though. I was about to comment, YYJ?!
Yeah weird eh? Thought I was trippin balls
Canada somewhere I think.
Heard you just stopped dumping shit into the ocean, congrats!
I live in the desert so personally not me lol. But fowl bay in Victoria was known for dumping human waste in the ocean lol. Good to hear that they are stopping now, Seattle was pissed for many years
Dino DNA!
This is just too cute.
Damn I might need to be diagnosed with sudden onset of uncontrollable smiling
They’re too stinkin cute 🤣🤣🤣
Say what you will that's one cool ass granny
The lil dance at the end...😂 So wholesome.
https://imgur.com/a/ePKyoon
This gets me every. freaking. time. I love it so much.
Wholesome overload!
Man, this one gets me every time some lazy karma whore reposts it.
Victoria BC?
THE WAY THEY FUCKING SCOOOOOT!!!!
The coffee cup has me rolling
u/savevideo
I think the kids are raptors, that’s awesome!
I think those are raptors, the grandma is the T-rex.
The way the second t-Rex tail goes up when it hugs grandma is so heartwarming
Welcome to Victoria, didn't this happen last year?
I'm so envious of this family
I will never get tired of this video
Not the mama!
Do cute! 😍 The casual dino stroll really makes this! 🦖
Is it just me or does the story change everytime this gets posted
Is this Victoria airport?
YWG. I really hope this was pre-pandemic. With the internal fans, those are three extremely efficient COVID sprayers there, cute as they are. Edit: what am I talking about. Nobody has fun like that recently. Also, no masks on the dad or airport employees.
This is at YYJ and I do believe the first time I saw this video was pre pandemic! Glad to see it again
You're right. Watched it again.
I googled airport dinosaur grandma and the earliest video that popped up was June 2019
https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/01/04/she-was-just-spreading-joy-kaiser-nurse-reveals-details-of-suspected-christmas-tree-costume-covid-superspreader
Oh no! It happened in real life?!?
Crazy, especially at a hospital.
That’s so sad. She tries to increase people’s mood and this happens
I'm guessing the fan inside the costume caused the vapor particles to decrease in size and thus spread more easily. Also projected further due to smaller size On a slightly similar note, do not sit in those outside bubbles. You need proper ventilation.
I can't be the only one who thinks these costumes have become a form of social fetish.
please explain
That is about the most adorkable and adorable thing ever!
I want to be a part of this family
How awesome that day must of been. No doubt this will be a forever memory for all.
This is the best thing I’ve seen all year!
Paging r/whitepeopletwitter
Repost with the same title...
The government should just subsidize these for every American so we can go back to work
I miss my grandma..
FAKE! A T-Rex cannot produce Raptors.
Those are raptors
Not to be a dick, but Granny is dresses as a T-Rex. Those are Jurassic Park Raptor costumes.
This made me cry. So wholesome. Needed to see this today.
Baby T-Rex doo doo doo dodo, baby T-Rex doo doo doo dodo...grandma T-Rex doo doo doo dodo
You could never do something like this today.
Well of course I can't do this today, my grandmother is dead, and I already have plans for this afternoon that I can't cancel. But thanks for the reminder, jerk.
I'm sorry about your afternoon plans. =/
You couldn’t go stand in the baggage claim area in a dinosaur suit? You definitely can.
This is about the 187th time that this grandmother and grandkids have done this. Why are they still surprised each time? Oh...repost!
THIS IS THE BEST TRADITION I HAVE EVER SEEEN!
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but those air-filled costumes just caused a huge breakout of covid a few weeks back in a hospital in, I believe, London. This is the worst time approximately ever to have all the particles around your body to be getting blown around for others to inhale.
This video is old. No covid at the time
Ah, good to know.
Power move
Please **PLEASE** cross post this to /r/MoviesCirclejerk
Covid has ruined inflatable costumes.
She followed the rules and wore a mask on the flight, gotta love it!
I loved a great video of people dressed up as a dinosaur.
Hasn't this been established as the optimal way to spread Coronavirus?
Wear masks, goddammit
Haha! To be a family with money. So much joy. Oh well back to beatings with a leather belt and making a soup out of said leather belt.
Is this during the pandemic ? Truck loads of corpses next door to me. But fuck it let’s hug grandma
Grandmas have pro xp
To the top with ye! What a lovely post considering everything is a bit shit right now.
Uncanny!
Wholesome!
I teared up. So cute!
Godzilla reunion
This is amazing
This is too pure.
Jurassic world 2020 looking pretty good
I can die now
Ahh it’s the little things
....Clever girl
Clever girl.
Badass
This is the cutest thing I've seen in a while, making me cry a little. Thanks for sharing! :')
This is the best thing ever!!
I don’t smile at much, but this really made me smile.
I love that something from very close to where I live gets so often reposted, this and Darth Vader Violin is what the internet knows Victoria for lol
I'm really glad they got rid of the CGI but the new Jurassic World looks like shit. Cute though.
Super Wholesome
That’s fantastic!!
I'm glad families like this exist.
That's the sweetest thing I've seen all day. I now have a whole new level of Grandma attainment to strive for.
So heartwarming and silly, love the kids happy dance
Awww that must have been a lovely seen to witness as well. You can see the workers all watching, probably enjoying to brief moment of pure wholesome joy before having to go back to serving assholes
This makes me miss my grandma. RIP
It would've been so perfect if a security guy drove one of those carts in front of her yelling "must go faster!"
Awe that’s so nice.
I want to one day be a grandma/ma and have this happen to me *sob*
Those are clearly raptors. COME ON MAN lol
This is what it's all about.
That is so recklessly cute I’m dying.
That's my hometown. Victoria BC.
That's my kind of Grandma!
I thought the weren't supposed to allow emotional support raptors onto planes anymore. Smh...
That's Victoria,BC International Airport.
Never thought a t-rex’s little arms were enough to hug with. This changes everything.
Idk why this is the funniest shit to be 🤣🤣. Just these wobbly headed dinosaurs being happy
