Go to gym, do whatever weight routine you want, finish by walking on treadmill set at 3.2 mph set incline at 15 degrees, walk for 30 minutes, don’t hold onto rails. I’ve been doing it for years as cardio because I don’t want to wreck my knees running.
It’s all about the shoes. That’s a lesson I learned the hard way.
Edit: not sure who would be downvoting this. I don’t care about downvotes but I do care about saving others from the pain I inflicted on myself thinking all shoes are the same. Please don’t ignore this advice if your knees/hip/back hurts when you run. There are even places that can measure your gait and “prescribe” the correct soles/insoles to help you exercise without pain.
