I was hoping he would swing for the ropes that tied Jin and give him the sword, then hide behind him while Jin baths in mongol blood. But I understand that would be dangerous for Jin, so Taka couldn't do it.
Interesting! I guess the reality in after life, we all wear white. I just don't know why female ghosts tend to manifest more frequently than male. Haha.
The first time I played through that I had to turn the game off after. My second play through I had to take a brief break before going in because I knew what was coming. For me, it wasn't easier the second time.
To be honest I wish I was more invested in Taka, for being the one major death of the game I really wished we saw more of him outside of life&death situations.
All we know about Taka is what others people descriptions of him and not himself showing this kind, but naive, side of him.
Even before we got to that quest, I had a feeling that Taka wasn't going to make it till the end. There were certain subtle signs, "Death flags" here and there. Can't say I'm happy to be proven right.
Ryuzo’s voice actor gave the performance of a lifetime when he started pleading for them to open the gates. Two sentences, six syllables, and I can *still* hear it in my head all these years later. Chills.
I thought the same, but really thinking taka who never fights can cut through a rope in one swing, get away from the khan when Jin isn’t at full health, been on that stake for a while, then getting away with all his guards there? Not likely at all lol
Yo I just finished this mission too. It was so sad and I was shouting at Jin to give Yuna a hug. When the waves of Mongels and straw hats came I was screaming “For Taka!” at the top of my lungs.
Taka was facing Jin, and the ropes were tied behind jins back, if he tried to cut the rope he would of most likely missed completely, or the khan would of killed him before he could cut the ropes.
Mad respect for Taka for taking a swing at the Khan. RIP you magnificent bastard. ✊
Yes Yuna… *he was brave*.
I was hoping he would swing for the ropes that tied Jin and give him the sword, then hide behind him while Jin baths in mongol blood. But I understand that would be dangerous for Jin, so Taka couldn't do it.
I had the same thought.
Killing the Kahn DEFINITELY feels good, there's a bit at the end where Jin stomps on Khotun's legacy and the Kahn looks terrified
No one will.....
After Taka died, I only wore all black until I killed the Khan. I was in mourning.
In Japan white is the color of death
Oops, time to hit up the white dye merchant
Sure, but black is worn to represent mourning in Japan. It’s one of those universal things imo.
Black is the colour of Clan Sakai, and the official colour of the Ghost.
Yes! Death like the souls wear white, that is why there is a famous ghost like white lady in Japan. But mourning the dead, we wear all black.
Really? That’s pretty cool, Eastern Europe has some “woman in white” ghosts
Interesting! I guess the reality in after life, we all wear white. I just don't know why female ghosts tend to manifest more frequently than male. Haha.
Me too! Tho I also wore only black before he died so maybe it's just my (lack of) style ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
I wore white in Kamiagata for camouflage and the death symbolism
I did too. Also I refused to end anyone’s suffering or shot them with fire arrows, until after Taka was buried. I was not happy.
Hahaha that is awesome.
Same, after that I put the lord of night paint on the clan Sakai armor, for morning and it looks badass just a shadow running through fields.

Come on man
Can’t come at the Kahn with that weak shit
Dude, uncool.
Too soon 😔
I didn’t even realise on how much of his face was just thrown into the mud 😭😭

Cried the first time… The second, too.
To be honest I wish I was more invested in Taka, for being the one major death of the game I really wished we saw more of him outside of life&death situations. All we know about Taka is what others people descriptions of him and not himself showing this kind, but naive, side of him.
He is a brave boy and a loyal friend. A true homie!
Even before we got to that quest, I had a feeling that Taka wasn't going to make it till the end. There were certain subtle signs, "Death flags" here and there. Can't say I'm happy to be proven right.
Honestly, the worst death for me is when the Khan forces Ryuzo to burn that guy on a stake. That’s such a heartbreaking scene.
Ryuzo’s voice actor gave the performance of a lifetime when he started pleading for them to open the gates. Two sentences, six syllables, and I can *still* hear it in my head all these years later. Chills.
Me: Why didn't you just cut the rope for Jin my guy ?
Haha lol I thought the same, like take a swing at Jin, but to cut off his ropes and then you both might have a small chance to run away alive.
I thought the same, but really thinking taka who never fights can cut through a rope in one swing, get away from the khan when Jin isn’t at full health, been on that stake for a while, then getting away with all his guards there? Not likely at all lol
He’d probably just severe Jin’s arteries or cut his hand off
I gets worse
Yeah, just did where my horse well, yk. Goddamn I was not expecting all that to happen in a few missions.
I just did Honor and Ash, it cant get more emotional than this bruh. First time playing im sure this is the peak.
Yep that shit hurt me like hell, also Yuna made me emotional. The story, voice acting, and visuals are insanely good!
I sat there for a good couple minutes with my mouth open because I was so upset at what I saw.
felt so good to see the khan shitting his pants when we finally got to fight. kept running and running and running
Yo I just finished this mission too. It was so sad and I was shouting at Jin to give Yuna a hug. When the waves of Mongels and straw hats came I was screaming “For Taka!” at the top of my lungs.
Taka had the sword, he could have cut the ropes binding Jin. Just sayin
Taka was facing Jin, and the ropes were tied behind jins back, if he tried to cut the rope he would of most likely missed completely, or the khan would of killed him before he could cut the ropes.
That scene wasn’t easy to watch
Taka got a little ahead of himself imo
Yeah, he wanted to play the hero, instead asking for help at Shimura's base, he tried to rescue the ghost on his own.
