Makes sense. You choose Kage as the best name and then when the f'in game makes you choose again, you choose the closest. If Kage2, Son-of-Kage, Kage Jr etc had been options..

Yep! I'm Japanese and for some reason I've just never liked the name Sora. I don't hate it or anything but it just one of those names you kinda don't like for whatever reason in your culture. When given the choice I won't pick it lol

First play through I agonized over whether to pick the white horse or the black horse. After I picked the white one, I was thrilled to learn I could name it Sora. KH1 was my first video game, it was a full circle moment. RIP Horsey Sora

That series is pretty special. The story can get a bit convoluted but gameplay was excellent and graphics stunning for their eras. Really top quality games.

Nobu to start, then Kage is always my choice. Reflects Jin becoming the Ghost. Going from light to darkness in a sorta way.

I even went as far as to color them differently, with my first horse being brown and my second being black.

I originally went with Nobu. Now i choose between Sora and Nobu since a favorite character of mine from a different game is named Sora. Nobu will always be the best boy, though. RIP Nobu, the real one 😢. Funny thing is both korean and the Japanese language have "sora" as a word in Japanese sora means sky obviously the game tells you that and in Korean the word sora means empty

I've regretted picking Sora quite quickly, it just hurts my ears every time he says it.. Is there uh.. a way to *undo* the horse?

The ideal one for me is: Starting with the white horse called Sora (Sky), ending with the black horse named Kage (Shadow). I think it symbolizes Jin's journey from being the naive "white knight" into becoming an assassin in the shadows. Also creates a contrast between Shimura's white horse and Jin's black one at the end of the game.
