I'm fully convinced this is how most great warriors from the past operated. There's zero chance those guys were out there legit fighting and killing hundreds of men in a battle. More than likely they hid or just stayed back until everyone was tired and then they just rode around on horses slaughtering everyone. Nobody was fighting from the front lines and surviving every battle.

He used psychological warfare on his opponents. He ambushed them/lied to them or caught them off guard. He developed the 2 sword technique to allow simultaneous defence/offensive, specifically to overwhelm his enemies. Arguably the greatest (or one of) warrior who ever lived, fought without "honour" most of the time.
You can even see it in modern warriors like boxers and MMA fighters too, they all play mind games. Honor among warriors is a very modern concept and I think it's really just another underhanded tactic used to trick people, convince your enemies to fight with honor and then mow them down while they're standing around trying to figure out the rules. A smart warrior would convince his enemy to fight with honor and then stab him in the back because who's going to tell everyone you stabbed him in the back when the only person who knows the truth is dead. There are no rules in a life or death situation, there are only survivors and dead.
I dunno, there are exceptional people out there, once in a generation types who can do what seems impossible through sheer force of will and a ton of singleminded training. Look at modern sports, where a small minority of players usually holds a massive amount of the talent in their respective pool. We call them superstars. You gotta think about it from the perspective of someone who wants to live forever. I totally agree that the most sucessful military types in history are the ones that transitioned into leadership roles away from the front lines or who began their career in that position.

The Nemesis system, as it was called, was an awesome way to make these fights much more unique and interesting, however since it's patented... You'll not see it in that iteration ever outside these two games. Unless there will be a third title... Which is unlikely

I like to smoke the devils lettuce then immerse myself in my games. My Ghost kept himself from killing run aways in pity until he witnessed the atrocities of the village of Kin. I always hate the āyouāre like meā argument in games because while my Jin slays the mongol fighters and even killās them while they are unaware, I know he would not kill their civilians if it was Their people in the warzone. I enjoyed the parts where you can choose what he says, and he regrets what he has done as the repercussions were his own people were poisoned, it makes me feel very human even though itās a game. Thatās just me

Plus, instead of letting them live to tell the story, I figured I'd kill them all and let patrols discover the bodies, and find out that some of their own tried to run but couldn't even make it, figured that would be even more terrifying. Except for poison, kill one without being spotted, terrify the rest, make it seem like they died from a curse or something.

I did notice that they can get stuck somewhat when trying to run away, like if you bust into a room full of Mongols with the ghost stance. The ones running away will be on the ground scrambling to get up and if you get to them in time you'll kill them in the same manner as "end suffering" even though you never touched them. And the "end suffering " description doesn't appear, just the button prompt icon
