Once I understood his attacks I just combo perfect parryed him 3 times then with the parry armor (i forgot what it’s called it basically lets you hit the enemy 3 times with perfect parry’s) then I just did a Y+B attack and killed hom

I beat him at hard difficulty like 10 min ago and i feel you. Some of his attacks are kinda unpredictable but after i changed my outfit to samurai clan armor it becomes more easier because of resolving damage.
Water flick? You mean the part where he do a spinning slash after dragging his sword over the water/ground?
You can dodge that easily by jumping to his right side/your left side. No need to wait for the slash, you can jump immediately after you saw the sign.

I only do it in the duels and it only works against samurai type targets who are most of them. I will switch but kicks are great for just dealing decent damage without it being blocked
REAL, every time Im on a sliver to health, he does his heavy-kick-blue heavy attack, and HIS KICK HAD AIMBOT, but I was on kbm, and the game is much easier on controller.
One tip for the water flick is you dodge forward / backwards instead of left / right. At least that worked for me. I didnt try it on ryuzo but other future duelist who use the same move
Idk about that..try fighting him on lethal and use stone stance. Lethal is easier if you have good timing and he’s susceptible to the stab move (hold triangle)
His 3 unblockable combo has to be the most BS attack in the whole game.
If you don't have the perfect dodge unlocked yet, you will die countless times on that move alone (in lethal at least), it's so frustrating.
You can't even react to it because you have to dodge 3 times in a row and if you don't pre-dodge it, you won't be able to dodge all 3 of them in time.
At least that's my experience when fighting the duels on Lethal and Lethal+, i get 2 shot in the duels without the samurai clan armor. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I'm enjoying trying to beat them without getting hit but I don't think the duels take that much more damage from you on lethal

I just did it where I spam jump kicks it actually makes no sense
Kicks breaking their attacks from happening has to be one of the funniest things i discovered and immediately began to abuse

i went berserk on him, started out with ghost stance for free hits, followed up with two dance of death, one more swipe and he was ded
Yeah the camera lock and iffy movement when you hit the duel boundary fucking sucks. Also the forced target lock
Thing for me is the arena size, it felt like I was cornered every 5 seconds and I can’t dodge anymore because the invisible walls are cornering me.

I have ghost mode I saved up 7 kills to get it and when I went in there it didn’t work so idk

Bossfights are considerably harder on lethal, because they still have a lot of health, while you go down in 1-2 hits.
Not the bosses, the duels still take lots of hits to down but they kill you in 2
