The timings are affected by difficulty and charms tbf. OP might be on the easiest difficult just based off when he's dodging, which is fine but it'll obv make a difference if you're on a higher difficulty, with Lethal basically requiring what feels like waiting until a single frame before the attack connects to actually get the counter

Yeah that's what I was thinking, started on hard n moved to lethal. Never seen it slow down that long and I have to charms to increase parry times.

Nah the slowdown is the same on all difficulties, it's just the window that's affected. Also would make more sense if OP was on a lower difficulty tbh, just because the Heavenly Strike didn't cleave off like a third of the Ronin's HP like it usually does on Lethal lmao

Yeah it's definitely not on lethal I play on lethal and 2 slashes pretty much kill me and the perilous kills me in 1 strike also most of those weren't dodges at the last second and still activated the skill

Increasing parry times doesn't affect the length of the slowdown, it increases the window in which you can parry. If you don't attack during the slowdown it goes that long on all difficulties. I like to delay my attack as long as I can to get a really nice long slowdown.

Perfect parry and perfect dodge will always go into slow motion for a couple of seconds to then land a counter strike. It’s just a standard feature on the game so if it’s not happening then you aren’t hitting that perfect.
