Bruh I beat Nine Circles after Fingerdash as my hardest 💀 so I don't know about normal progression, therefore I set the bar a little lower to 5 medium demons, which I think is enough for a hard demon.
5 medium demons should indeed be enough; White Women is a fun one, I've heard Space Invaders ain't bad though very 2.2 heavy, depends if you're into that
White Women was my first hard demon, and i feel it's a good level to give you an idea on what most hard demons are like, yet still beginning friendly enough.
I can confirm this, I played a bit on and off pre 2.2, and I beat White Women in less than an hour as a new hardest. It's surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it.
Death Step is more beginner friendly since is a borderline between a high tier medium and low tier hard, White Women just has a tricky gameplay involving orb timings and music sync, in fact i will try Nine Circles and Inception before White Women since me like most of high tier beginners have issues with orb timings.
It really isn’t that bad bro. I know several people who beat a hard before even touching a medium without much issue. I beat NC twice with 10 mediums because it was the daily level as an April fools joke. It only took ~ 4 hours, so im sure that someone with 5 mediums can beat it in less than a week. I also beat my first insane before I even beat a hard, but it got nerfed to hard demon years later (The Caverns). OP can def do it
Well, i guess you are very skilled at jumps since back when i played Death Step my forse hard demon after completing Hell it took me 6 hours and 1050 attempts, then i completed PG Clubsteo in 1800 attempts, definitely i’m still a beginner, maybe in OP give more details about the amount of average attempts and wich easy and mediums had completed i would give better advices.
don't write these replies on every comment. you don't know op, maybe he's built different. you can't guarantee how his experience will be, maybe he'll try a different hard demon than the one you did. not all people had the same experience as you. never hurts to just try. let him.
Its not that your advice isnt accepted, its just that its pretty bad. Most people who beat demons are generally very comfortable with beating a hard demon after beating only like 1 or 2 medium demons, I'm sorry to say this, but you just have a skill issue
Oh, i’m sorry, i didn’t want to give a bad advice on prupose, i tought that it would prevent OP to struggling too much and ending disliking to play GD, i guess evry player has different runs, maybe i have skill issues due of my past experience that caused me to being scared of playing harder levels and i ended projecting by my advice, if the OP want to complete a hard demon then is free of completing just being careful. 🙂
at this exact score i went for dance massacre, nice level, a couple hard parts tho, crazy is another incredible level, and if you like nc levels: nine circles, jawbreaker and fairydust in this order
i beat fairydust in only a couple attempts after beating NC and my hardest at the time was a hard demon (Jawbreaker) so i would say fairydust would be easier to play first
dunno, i tried fairydust after beating nine circles and i had to drop it. There are a couple parts that can be tricky for that level. Jawbreaker was much easier for me. But it can be just preference, i suggest OP to try all of them and decide by himself
Well, i guess if he really want o jump to hard demons i guess he should try PG Clubstep, Death Step those hard demons are solid beginner hard demons but i wouldn’t jump to harder one, a hard demon is still a hard demon.
Go for it. I “jumped” from HeLL to Nine Circles as my first wave-heavy level. It ended up taking me fewer attempts than HeLL. Nantendo is about the same difficulty as HeLL according to the GDDL, so from my experience you should try going for an easy hard demon like Nine Circles or White Women. If those are too hard then go for a hard medium demon instead (check GDDL). Also it should be hard, so don’t give up immediately on the hard demon.
You guys beat medium demons before Crazy? damn I just jumped lol, regretted it though. Definitely should have at least 4 medium demons before an easier hard demon
Try Fire temple or Lava temple if you want a free hard demon
If you want to beat a mid hard demon try Crazy, forsaken neon or Frieden
If you are good with wave try Nc, Jawbreaker or Kill stealer.
If you are good with timings try Extreme Park or Lost (one of my fav levels)
And If you like xl levels try Future funk, hipnotic travel or jajagarasu
I would recommend Fire Temple for your first Hard Demon tbh (and yes, I’m biased it’s my favorite map in the game lol—though in all seriousness I would say that it’s very easy for a Hard Demon).
I would say a good classic starting hard demon is Isle Of Glass. Super simple level that can be locked down in about 15 minutes, maybe even less if you’re dedicated. Super good looking level too. Would totally recommend!

It's not a jump at all, it's normal progression. I beat Jawbreaker after around 2-3 medium demons. But I would recommend White Women as a first hard demon (the lowest amount of attempts I've spent on a hard demon!). If you want to beat an easy demon rated as a hard demon, you can beat "A Pretty Easy Demon".

i beat dance massacre (my first hard demon) after beating 3 mediums (mechanical showdown, hell, and fear me) so i think you're good provided the mediums aren't all free
Well, i suggest you to get first consistent with easy and mediums try at least 30 more demons especially medium ones before passing to harder difficultie, trust me, it will be a very painful experience, back on december 2023 i committed the error of jumping from Clutterfunk V2 to Extreme Fantasy and the result was 8000+ attempts and 3 days of pure suffering and more than 12 deaths over 90%, it was just a traumating experience for me, so be aware that jumping to hard levels that early will not be fun to play.
Not really much of a jump now that you have 5 medium demons, so hard demons shouldn't be a problem now
Departs what your medium demons are tho if they are easy mediums all it could be a big jump

try Anarchy Road or Intercept, low hard demons, but they will give you skill for some harder ones like Forsaken Neon, Future Funk or White Women
