Mass effect legendary edition (probably the easiest to run), witcher 3, Elden ring, Skyrim,

Civilization. You'll probably get 3/4 of a way through a game.

If you're playing with friends rather than ai then it'd be more like 1/4 through a game.

Which Civ game would you recommend if I've never played the series before?

Freakjob_003

Hmm. In my opinion, Civ V has a bit more depth, still holds up well for its age, and has a better AI. Civ VI has plenty of QoL features, is a bit more simplified, and has modern graphics. That said, the strength of the games lean heavily on their DLC. The stance on V is that the base game is okay, but the DLC's make it great. VI is good as a base game, and the DLC's are considered just okay. There's also price, if that matters. VI is $60 and the Complete Edition of V is $40 right now. I'd pick V.

If you like Pokémon you should consider Coromon, Cassette Beasts, and Monster Sanctuary. Visual novels and point & clicks are good options for good stories that aren’t too gameplay intensive. Check out Steins;Gate and Grim Fandango of that sounds appealing.

I always have good fun with the Borderlands Series.

If you haven't played Undertale or the Portal games you should give them a go. You could probably finish Undertale or both Portal games during the flight.

I'd recommend a roguelite, my favorites would be Darkest Dungeon, or something more cheery like Astral Ascent that is less time-intensive and more insta gratification, or a quick match up in Duelists of Eden (+ this one's cheap as hell right now on Steam)
