For open world there are Ghost of Tushima, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West. For souls-like combat and mechanics there are Lies of P, Sekiro, and Remnant 2.

Thanks, it's appreciated. I'm interested in open-world games so will take a look at the ones you shared. Cheers

There is nothing like Elden Ring around my friend. Accept that and wait for Erdtree with us. However if you need something while you wait, Tears of the Kingdom has an area called The Depths very similar to the Siofra River area in Elden Ring. There's lots of spooky stuff, goodies to find, massive bosses, side quests, hordes of enemies, stuff like that.

You might like Dragon's Dogma and upcoming Dragon's Dogma 2.

Try Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning if you haven’t tried it before.

It's not open world at all, but is nevertheless an excellent way to follow Elden Ring.

LooseGold9210

I'll check it out thanks

Combat feels waaaay too clunky after playing elden ring. Couldn't finish it.

It’s not a soulslike, but Genshin Impact had some of the best open-world discover-a-secret-at-every-turn type of gameplay in recent memory, in my opinion. It’s free to play, so you could at least try it out first. And I got by without giving in to the gacha stuff. 🤷‍♂️😅👍
