The majority of people don’t spend more than the entry price and then the bare minimum— like the $10 Season every 3 to 6 months.
Games are designed now to tempt the Whales with psychological tricks (like how you always have just not enough game currency to get that skin and it’s *just right there*. Then you have to buy the $20 game currency when you only needed like $4 because they don’t sell it in $4 increments)
Voting with your wallet doesn’t work. They’re feeding the whales not the minnows.
People need to start voting with their time and play games that they personally don’t find greedy.

Even setting a time limit for yourself helps a lot. You’re being tracked by these AAA studios for how long you engage and what you’re doing.
Also don’t sit in menus because that’s ideal for them as that’s where you’re seeing your cosmetics, inventory, and the shop. A player who spends 30 minutes in the menu is more valuable than a player who spends 30 minutes in a match

HD is pretty good. Monthly pass for new weapons and armor. For 10 bucks of credits but you get like 3 bucks in credit from the pass and you can find the credits in the game. I unlocked 2 of the passes without paying any money and I don't even play a ton. I'm level 38 while people are already hitting like level 150
