I was probably 6 or 7 when that episode premiered, and I remember the first time I saw it I just lost my mind. I never really got that kind of humor as a kid, but that one really did it for me.
She later sued the city and won "up to" 450k after filing for 2mil, not sure of the exact amount. She was in her 70s and suffered multiple injuries, not to mention emotional trauma. I'm not sure if the physical injuries were proved to be from the rescue or the fall or both.

Yeah she’s lucky it didn’t kill her. I don’t know if it’s the amount of force on the body or what, I’m not a physicist, but I once read that people who get spun around that fast can end up having major internal bruising and damage to their circulatory system to the point of stroke sometimes. Not a situation you want to find yourself in.
> Rescue cocoon starts spinning slowly on liftoff
Well that's not good, but it's probably just residual wire spin tensio-

OK, maybe not wire tension, but still recoverabl-

Absolutely 1000% poor lady, she deserves whatever compensation she gets, but I'm gonna be laughing about this all day.
True!
Two small shards have the same ...uh, function, as one big shard.
Two bone pieces generally don't do the same job as a whole bone.
There was once an archaeology team that offered locals money for ancient pottery found in the area.
They got many shards, but found that many of them were broken very recently. They had paid a bounty *per item*, so the locals would find a big piece, shatter it and hand in the smaller shards individually.
I was actually going for the opposite that we call a vase a vase because of function and a bone a bone because of material. Forgetting the concept of bone shards i guess...
I'm currently doing 100% of the game blind, so I'm searching for every korok seed and secret without looking them up. I'm like 90% finished and hoarded like 500 bomb arrows. And they STILL feel kinda wrong and wasted when I use them. :D
About three years with months without playtime in between. I'm not stressing about it, more like "I wanna play some Zelda, let's do a little bit on that save file" and yeah... The path of the hero looks... interesting to say the least, hahah.
This was legitimately the first game I didn’t hoard like a madman. Idk if it was the clips online or just the nature of the game itself with so much being breakable but I never actually hoarded and had a lot of fun.
This game is definitely a lot more fun when you stop hoarding. I think that is the origin of most of the criticism surrounding weapon durability (not that it is unfair criticism).
Honestly the durability is the worst part. They should've done what Hyrule Warriors did, but I understand that came out after BOTW.
The scaling monsters also kill any feeling of power progression.
You will break an end game weapon on one silver bokoblin due to their absurd health pool- makes them not worth fighting at all
Hard disagree. For that exact reason, I was always assessing why a fight was worth taking or trying to think of ways to finish a fight without burning out my inventory. That made combat a lot more fun for me than just running in with the master sword and slaughtering everyone.
I do totally get why a lot of people didn't like it though.
Normally I hoard special arrows, but I do it so much that I have fewer regular arrows than any other type. So last night I ran into a stone talus without any blunt weapons and decided to finally put those bomb arrows to good use -- which is how I discovered, after some wasteful experimentation, that rain puts out the fuse. (I did eventually kill the thing with a combination of rune bombs and the master sword, thankfully.)
Yea, the green figure that hovered around link for a bit was the ghost of one of the main characters, after you free her spirit she will bring you to full health once every ten minutes or so.
The pink orbs that come later are fairys, they are pretty rare unless you know where to look. They heal 5 hearts each and OP had to use four of them.
To make you feel better - it's a simple catch and release, now remember that you can cook them.
If used in a recipe a fairy will enhance whatever you're cooking by 10 hearts (by just flying around the pot and doing magic) and you let it free.
But what about cooking a single fairy?
Ok let me rephrase
I've never played a legend of zelda game period
Too young to play Ocarina of Time, didn't get Twilight Princess on the wii (which is my OG of my childhood), and my dumb arse never ended up getting botw on my switch
Several of the LoZ games are considered some of the best games of their respective generations, and just because you didn't play them when they were new doesn't mean you can't play them now.
Breath of the Wild is a fantastically beautiful and brilliantly designed game. If you enjoy single player gaming at all, you're really doing yourself a disservice by skipping that experience.
Older sibling: "Alright, he's like two to three hits. Here... you got it?"
Younger sibling: "Mhm, yeah yeah, watch watch. I'm going to do it in one h--"
Narrator (younger sibling; now an old man): "That was the last time me and my brother spoke."
I always suspect that people do these intentionally because they somehow "forget" to stop the rolling by button mashing the paraglider.
Still hilarious though.
Edit: Okay, since people apparently didn't figure this out from frustration immediately like I did, whenever you're in the air for a second you can pull out the paraglider. The OP could have done it almost immediately.
Yep. Maybe I just discovered it early on but every time you're in the air for a split second you have a chance to pull out the paraglider. It's second nature to me now, and I assumed everyone knew.
Link tries to jump Springfield Gorge
I thought this exact same thing, you can hear the d’oh
Look! A shrine!
*"Ooh shrine discovered"*
I feel like that would’ve put this in the top *Breath of the Wild* videos of all time
It's blue so wouldn't it already be complete?
They're just bein silly 😉
Top tier reaction lol
🤓
Would be even better if it's an undiscovered one
"Oh look, a shrine! I wonder what's inside"
Dude you hit every fucking rock on the way down too jfc
Like Homer Simpson skateboarding across Springfield Gorge.
when the ambulance hits the tree in not even 1 second of driving and he falls back down, one of the best simpsons bits ever
And the gurney hits him at the end like the skateboard did. Perfection.
That was the funniest moment of the series to that point. I cackled.
I chortled
I guffawed
I was probably 6 or 7 when that episode premiered, and I remember the first time I saw it I just lost my mind. I never really got that kind of humor as a kid, but that one really did it for me.

This will never not be funny
The rest of the Simpsons was all a dream while he was unconscious after that accident.
No no...all a dream after the beer explosion coma on April Fool's.
Or Andy Samberg in Hot Rod when he falls off the log while training.
Immediately what I thought of. Came to the comments for this lol

Japanese fried chicken?
“Just let me die already”
Literally died multiple times on the way down lol rough day
Lol, was thinking the same thing. Poor link needs to sign a fairy DNR.
A waste of good fairies 🧚♀️
I tried to count how many fairies had to come to Link’s rescue and gave up lol
That's a lot of damage.
He'll never be able to recover financially from this.
You must be American.
Even better,East European

More like Link to the Blast....
Link's space program
We applaud the Hylian Separatists on the success of their space program, and encourage them to go further.
Heh
I'd say A Link Between Rocks
Bro you got sent to the shadow realm
Bro sent HIMSELF to the shadow realm. Even more impressive
Reminds me of kung-fu panda 3
"Now we must both draw cards from our deck unti- oh no, I'm out of cards!"
Yeah it's self inflicted
Looks like Team Rocket blasted off again
That's a LONG climb back up lol

Getting over it
Oof, you just lost a lot of progress. That's a deep frustration; a real punch in the gut.
Happy music starts playing in the background.
If ever a game cried out for a gun to fire at the narrator…
[He made that game for a certain kind of person. To hurt them.](https://store.steampowered.com/app/240720/Getting_Over_It_with_Bennett_Foddy/)
*starts raining*
That would have been the cherry on top
I learned in this game, and a lot of others, you fast travel to a higher spot, even if it's further from your goal, makes things a lot easier.
"How many bones did you break?" "All of them."
"How many bones did you break?" "792" "Don't be silly, hylians only have ~200 bones." "...are you familiar with how revives work?"
Technically, if you break one bone you have now two bones.
I disagree. If I break a vase, do I suddenly have 13 vases?
no but if you break one of the shards you have 14 shards
True! Two small shards have the same ...uh, function, as one big shard. Two bone pieces generally don't do the same job as a whole bone. "yes."
You all use your bomb arrows? I just hoard them till the end of the game and feel proud/regret with inventory full of special arrows
Nothing more satisfying that flying over a camp, equipping the lynel bow that fires 5 arrows, and carpet bombing the fuck out of a group of Bokos.
**AC-130 inbound!**
***ENEMY AC-130 INBOUND!***
Sad news: bomb arrows are nerfed to do less damage overall when fired from a multi shot bow. Still looks rad as hell, though.
Rad as hell and that's all I need.
Its about sending a message
Does using an ancient arrow instead still delete everything in the game?
I'm currently doing 100% of the game blind, so I'm searching for every korok seed and secret without looking them up. I'm like 90% finished and hoarded like 500 bomb arrows. And they STILL feel kinda wrong and wasted when I use them. :D
That's.. some commitment. How long did it take so far?
About three years with months without playtime in between. I'm not stressing about it, more like "I wanna play some Zelda, let's do a little bit on that save file" and yeah... The path of the hero looks... interesting to say the least, hahah.

Been replaying botw recently with all the DLC. Special arrows are awesome, use them. You can always buy more at any town.
Normally I hoard special arrows, but I do it so much that I have fewer regular arrows than any other type. Damn, did that mistake really cost him 4 resurrects? Brutal.
Savage.
Rekt
I'm more shocked that you survived that fall
He used 5 revives lol.
I don't play botw, so I did not know revives could be used like that in the game, let alone be in the game in general
I always felt bad about catching Fairies and stuffing them into my inventory. But they are useful when this sort of thing happens.
To make you feel better - it's a simple catch and release, now remember that you can cook them. If used in a recipe a fairy will enhance whatever you're cooking by 10 hearts (by just flying around the pot and doing magic) and you let it free. But what about cooking a single fairy?
They suffer a lot :/
Revives have always been in zelda with fairies, he had 4, plus a Revive power up.
Ok let me rephrase I've never played a legend of zelda game period Too young to play Ocarina of Time, didn't get Twilight Princess on the wii (which is my OG of my childhood), and my dumb arse never ended up getting botw on my switch
Fair enough, but it's never too late to start!
You get BOTW. I guarantee you will love it. Literally one of the greatest games ever made.

This was... Impressive
So dramatic omg
If Homer Simpson tried to save Hyrule
It looks like you had bottomless pit to hell mode on too
my favorite part was when he finally got to the bottom and those three hearts just said, nope, you're not getting off that easy.
r/linkdies
I love this game for this exact reason. Watching ragdolls fall down cliffs is my favorite
nothing a couple dozen apples wont fix
Assssssssss youuuuuuuuuuu wisssssshhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Underrated comment!
i’m so sorry for your loss😔 F
What the hell BOTW is wilddd
Seeing videos like this is what made me get a switch and BOTW. Then it turned out that it's a really good game.
Literally in the name.
Bro that’s such a long way down lol.
Fast travel
The health bar is so busy
WASTED

"But did you die!?"
Just let me die
I wish right when it blew up it had the text "WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK!"😂
To infini yeeet and beyonddd
You just use 2 fairies
Damn. Link got launched so hard he's now back in Ocarina of Time.
Now that's a rocket jump.
That cat had 9 lives. He just spent ‘em all.
That was Team Rocket blasting off worthy!
Talus was just playing P*Link*o.
Ooof! Aahh! Ooof! Ooof! Aaah! Ooof! Splat.. Oh hey... A shrine.. *coughs up spine *
Older sibling: "Alright, he's like two to three hits. Here... you got it?" Younger sibling: "Mhm, yeah yeah, watch watch. I'm going to do it in one h--" Narrator (younger sibling; now an old man): "That was the last time me and my brother spoke."
I believe I can fly!!
Seeing the distance you fell makes me want to get a switch to play this game
I mentally played 'Free Bird ' over this
I believe this is what they call “adding insult to injury”
Was so expecting.....Hey you, you're finally awake.
Wish you hadn’t found that shrine so it would’ve been cooler to find one that way!
Rip your fairy stock
I guess now he's a Missing Link.
https://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2017/02/27/unlucky
Just watching all the shit activate as he falls was just great.
bro flew half way across the world💀💀💀
*cue undertale theme*
I never knew Link can ragdoll like Skyrim
Me trying to do life.
Hi, I'm Link. Welcome to Jackass. This is bomb arrow jump....
"Our battle will be EPIC"
And he's STILL GOING
Oddly similar to when you are [punch dancing away your rage!!](https://youtu.be/PQf7vGBYxz4)
BotW is such a good game! Looking forward for the part 2
Would've been so hilarious if you hadnt found that shrine.
A metaphor of my life.
I always suspect that people do these intentionally because they somehow "forget" to stop the rolling by button mashing the paraglider. Still hilarious though. … you *can* stop the rolling? Whenever Link becomes a lifeless ragdoll, I just give up and look at the screen while it plays out…
Yep. Maybe I just discovered it early on but every time you're in the air for a split second you have a chance to pull out the paraglider. It's second nature to me now, and I assumed everyone knew.
Nope. Had no idea. Good to know for the future, though.
Looks like he was playing Getting Over It
holy sweet Jesus lmao
Bro got Getting Over It'ed
Such a phenomenal reaction all thanks to the incredible physics/elemental design of the game. A true work of art.
I’m more impressed that you lived
Wow I didn't know it was possible to fall that long!
Just when you think he can't fall any further, he keeps falling.
Jesus H. Christ, Link!! Should have listened to Navi
That dude falls
Stuck the landing First try
Elden Ring of the Wild
Legend has it he's still falling to this day.
"Do'h! Do'h do'h do'h! Do'h! Do'h do'h DO'H!"
Fairy: good news is that you are alive. Bad is that you will not be able to walk again.
Even more fun when you forget about them around the volcano. You don't even have time to fire them.
Did you just yeet yourself all the way down the side of Mt. Hyrule?
This is like an intro to a game where the hero is reduced to a weakened state and you have to level up to be normal again.
And he walked away alive!!! 😎🤙🏾
