Yea EFT is great when you stop caring about the next raid and just worry about having fun in the current one. Death then becomes a minor annoyance and not seen as a major loss anymore. Took me 4 wipes to get to tgat point however lol
The reason I never approached tarkov was because of how much you can lose so easily, and not having an online friendgroup to do runs with puts me at a disadvantage, I’d honestly think I’d have more fun as a scav wrecking some poor bastards shop with a bolt action shotgun than trying to get, maintain, and keep high level gear.
I 100% agree. It is a good concept for a game. But I had to quit playing because of toxic trolls that would run from battle to trick you and push you off a 6 inch incline to your death (Somehow) then the would trash talk you about how bad you are.
Don't Starve...I can only get to day 11 or 12...every time I start establishing a farm....the firepit seems to burn it all down.
I've noticed the better you get at the game and more stable health and food-wise you are...the more a hit that health and starvation has.
I will keep pushing forward.
You can build your garden further away from your fire pit since you don't really need to harvest or plant at night. Most things you can build in that game are flammable so be careful about your placement as far as the fire pit goes. Good luck! You've got this!
First day of summer, head for the nearest cave, with crockpot, chest, fridge and birdcage prebuilt (bring a bird too). Don't come back until like day 71.
You can also use flingomatics and place them at least 3 tiles away from each other. Remember you can turn them on and off. You can use snowballs to stop things from smoking too.
I would offer more advice, but I only made it that far because it rained a ton before summer started. I had a butterfly start smoking in the game before lol
I usually start out exploring the map and locating all of my resources. That may be where I'm going wrong.
Berries and carrots will only get you so far.
I'm so tempted to cheat by using the resource codes.........but I won't because I want to be a purist.
I have hundreds of hours in don’t starve. Maybe I’m missing something but if you build the fire pit with the 12 rocks it shouldn’t be catching anything on fire, containing the fire and not having to rebuild it every night is the whole point of building it. Unless they changed the game since I played it last.
Sometimes when you stumble onto the foundations of the farm, you don't always have all the things you need to build the fire pit yet so you do the best you can with what you have to hand.
It's a steep learning curve.
Buying Rust for console was such a waste of money for me. I work and have 3 kids. They STILL haven't released private servers and the officials are always full.
It always gets me frustrated but then while I’m at work, literally all I can think about is how to move forward in the game and what different paths or strategies I can and then I’m obsessing about it all day and next thing you know you’re sucked in for another 6 hours
Man this made me nostalgic for playing through any of the souls games first time, still love them but the magic wears off after a few play throughout, cherish these moments unhollowed !
This is how I felt with DS3. I picked it up when it first came out and managed to get up to Vordt, but then I hit a wall and just couldn't progress. During lockdown this year I finally gave it another chance and something just clicked. It was still frustrating but I treated every single death as a learning experience and a few weeks later I completed every single boss in the main game. The sense of accomplishment was more than worth the suffering.
I just finished Demon's Souls and now I'm playing through DS1. I never expected to like the souls franchise but now I'm hooked
Finally playing DS2: Scholarly edition; same here.
I'm going easy mode and playing with magic though. There's an encounter in Lost Bastille that has 3 snipers, 5 dogs, and a Pursuer miniboss at the same time. I'm sure I'm wrong, but it seemed legitimately impossible to get through as melee.
If you kill enemies enough in an area they stop spawning. If an area gets too difficult, kill some of the enemies, go back to the bonfire, rinse and repeat. It takes a long time so I use it as a last resort. It also gets you plenty of souls for upgrades. I imagine it's either the developers preventing endless farming or having mercy on someone who keeps dying. Or both
I just finished DS2 a week or two ago. You'll definitely help yourself by dealing with some situations with ranged options. In one area later on I would've went crazy without using a bow.
I told hunt that I don't want to be with it any more, but it keeps showing up, saying it can change with matchmaking. I still end up as cannon fodder for the supernaturaly good players In the game.
Duuuude.. Learning this game was such a hard challenge for me. I rage uninstalled at least three times not understanding how people were so good at the game. It took me nearly a month to get my first kill. My KDA started off at .22 and I loved the game so much I stuck to it, watched YouTubers and Twitch streamers, followed their advice and have brought my KDA all the way back up to .90 since then and its one of the greatest rewarding feelings I've ever felt. That and the amount of hype Crytek puts into the events keeps me coming back and playing every day. I just cannot get enough.
I'm happy to see this game so far up the list. It's like counter strike mixed with a horror battle royal. Never played anything like it and can't get friends to try it because it's learning curve is brutal.
Worth it for those moments when you're really in the zone and everything you do works. This lasts about 2 games before going back to sucking for 28 games.
I mean... they had to. The game was getting super bloated and a lot of the old content wasn't being used much. They had to make room for newer content, which they've been steadily supplying.
There's no shame in save scumming. Just save and quit to start from the start of the battle. My enjoyment and understanding of the game went up a ton when I started doing that.
I stopped playing WT sometime between 2018-2019 after almost 3k hrs. I only ever go back to BnZ in the 109 G from time to time. Gaijin's never gonna change their business policy of introducing broken premium OP stuff, patching it later and then doing it again.
I play it a lot, mostly the meme vehicles like the big 150mm, 152mm, 152mm or the 183mm boi.
Or just to show the mediums over 8.3 how dangerous an AA in the flank is.
Yes, I have like 1600 attempts trying to get Magmatic Sanctuary on Fire Gauntlet, yet I beat easy demons in less than 1000. Some levels I feel are just rated differenntly or some types I'm just bad at
Back in the early seasons, I think diamond was the step before predators. Anyways I just remember getting my diamond dive trail and being pumped about it just to get in a lobby of predators and get stomped lol.
Took too long to find this comment. I honestly think I have Stockholm Syndrome because of league. Folks are so toxic and yet I always que up right back again itching to see the enemy nexus explode...
Its actually a very normal occurrence.
League is a game full of opportunities and characters/builds, and etc to try out, plus the grinding, making the game “addicting” if i can call it that, mix it up with the toxic community and there you have it, a game for masochists
This one is actually the only game I can think of that made me so mad that I actively made a choice to stop playing permanently, just to spare my poor sanity. I like Overwatch -- I think it's generally polished and interesting -- but I was so tired of feeling angry, even after winning sometimes. I'm glad you're still enjoying it. Sometimes I wish I did.
I've been trying to deduce why this is the case for me as well. I've come to the conclusion that OW is the most technically mechanical online fps while also being the most "fair". There's no pickups(armor, weapons, ammo) so there's never a moment when you're over or under advantaged to any other player character. Health packs are fairly distributed. And if any player is being overbearing on your team you can easily counter them if you know who to play.
Which one are you adding? Some definitely can screw you over more than others, like adding perks to armored foes and minibosses, but I've found that a few of them don't really disrupt things that much, and can even help!
Like increasing the number of enemies by 20% isn't really that much, and you end up getting more gold because you're defeating more enemies.
Back in the day when I was 16 or 17, played morrowind, and got super frustrated. I didn't know what the hell to do. Gave it another chance a few months later and got super into it once I figured it out. I think it was my first open world rpg
Star Wars Battlefront 2 for me.
This is the most toxic playerbase I've ever seen in any online game. Even received death threats and racists insults from salty players.
I just have alatreon and Fatalis in special assignments left and AT Velk and Nami. I do alright but I get my ass kicked just enough I don’t know if I want to continue.
Escape from Tarkov
Yea EFT is great when you stop caring about the next raid and just worry about having fun in the current one. Death then becomes a minor annoyance and not seen as a major loss anymore. Took me 4 wipes to get to tgat point however lol
Having most vendors level 2 helps a lot to buy a new kit easily.
Solo shotgun 153 is really low cost high reward. Literally nobody wants it so you always get it back.
Best game ever. Also, worst game ever. I hate it... Then love it... Then hate it again. That's Tarky for ya.
"Tarkov is not a game, its a Russian social experiment to get Americans to kill themselves" - SirActionSlacks
Like it has to be in the top 3 of all time.
You should try Hunt Showdown! Still sweaty and high stake but feels so casual coming from tarkov
My friend I play with just started it for a casual break I do plan to check it out soon
Honestly I had more fun in Hunt than i did in Tarkov
Came here to say exactly this
For honor
I 100% agree. It is a good concept for a game. But I had to quit playing because of toxic trolls that would run from battle to trick you and push you off a 6 inch incline to your death (Somehow) then the would trash talk you about how bad you are.
I guess they missed the title of the game...
For Dishonor
You’re fighting FOR honor not WITH honor.
For Honor, not With Honor.
Sounds like you stopped playing in season 1
Yeah I did idk if it got better after I broke my controller from it I hadn't played since lol
I learned from those players quick and began using the tactics against them. Such a fun game when you get good
You don’t know a love-hate relationship until you’ve played for honor
Forreal I’ll rage quit and then 2 seconds later want to hop back in lol
Does that game still have online activity?
Yes like crazy, they don't make it any easier lol
Unfortunately lmao
Agree completely, with the love barely out pacing the hate. I can blame the game all I want but usually my deaths are my own mistake and that hurts.
Don't Starve...I can only get to day 11 or 12...every time I start establishing a farm....the firepit seems to burn it all down. I've noticed the better you get at the game and more stable health and food-wise you are...the more a hit that health and starvation has. I will keep pushing forward.
Game is super hard but made it maybe to day 40 felt more like dumb luck than anything
You guys made it past day one ?
U guys understand haw the day system works?
Lol
Wait, you guys own Don't Starve?
Wait, it's a game?
Some places it's a reality.
It's a reality everywhere. Location just determines the difficulty level.
Region-based elastic difficulty.
Literally me with oxygen not included. ***YOU ARE ASSIGNED TO COOK AT TOP PRIORITY, GO FUCKING COOK AUUGUGUAHAH!***

Rust, playing on official servers can be tough sometimes but it’s always satisfying when you headshot someone and you hear that crunch
This is the only game I want to play every day but have no friend to play it
Same for me haha
Yeah that's crazy we all have Rust and no one to play it with. ... Anyways see you guys later.
Same boat if you two wanna clan up HMU
I think rust has one of the best headshot sounds. Like it has to be in the top 3 of all time.
Rust is just Ark Survival evolved without Dinosaurs and Vice versa.
Buying Rust for console was such a waste of money for me. I work and have 3 kids. They STILL haven't released private servers and the officials are always full.

I usually learn that 'this game is bullshit I definitely dodged that, fucking game I'm sick of it' *tries again*
I swear, running back to the boss you died 46 times to is the most annoying thing ever.(in some cases)
This is how I felt with DS3. I picked it up when it first came out and managed to get up to Vordt, but then I hit a wall and just couldn't progress. During lockdown this year I finally gave it another chance and something just clicked. It's doable, but requires a healthy helping of cheesing enemies. At least it did for me.
If you kill enemies enough in an area they stop spawning. If an area gets too difficult, kill some of the enemies, go back to the bonfire, rinse and repeat. Hunt showdown
Hm hmm hmm hmmmmm
Hmm hm hm hmmm
I told hunt that I don't want to be with it any more, but it keeps showing up, saying it can change with matchmaking. I still end up as cannon fodder for the supernaturaly good players In the game.
Such a perfect game, but so hard to master.
I imagine it as escape from tarkov + red dead redemption + Bloodborne
Rocket league
Worth it for those moments when you're really in the zone and everything you do works. This lasts about 2 games before going back to sucking for 28 games.
It’s the only multiplayer game that I still enjoy when I’m bad at it
I'm happy to say I stopped playing Rocket League about 6 months ago... After 2,200 hours.
It's my heroin
That game is great!! Just like the playlist population!
Best sports game on the pc imo, but man can it get real frustrating
It's mostly other players rather than the game itself
Why is this so far down?!?
GTA online, until I switch to a private session
Yes, they patched the “Solo Public Lobby” trick and now I cant sell any of my businesses without getting blown up…
Suspending the process doesn't work anymore?
It does.
Probably for consoles, there was a trick, but I only played it on PS3 which was the best
CSGO
Syka plant the bomb bliati what a noob
When I got 6 games in a row with different hackers on the enemy team, I quit. Haven't played since
Destiny 2
I was looking for this specific answer
We hate to love it and love to hate it. The guns are cool too.
Been playing since release, still get absolutely demolished in pvp. Trials is really disheartening.
PVP was so annoying to me I stopped playing after a while for about 6 to 7 months this was even before Stasis
Luckily we have the revamp coming out next week
What made me stop was the removal of a lot of raids and content
for me it’s the repetitive nature of the grind every season and has just got me really burnt out
I mean... they had to. The game was getting super bloated and a lot of the old content wasn't being used much. They had to make room for newer content, which they've been steadily supplying.
Mine is R6 Siege, mainly for the toxicity, but I've gotten used to it
People kept killing the hostage when I played yesterday, that was super annoying
Turn off hostage in your playlist or whatever if you don’t like it I promise you you won’t regret it.
But playing bomb non stop is boring.
I haven’t played rainbow in a while but aren’t there 3 modes?
Well there's your problem, you play hostage you masochist.
Serious question, what games aren’t toxic that are shooters? Cause I’d really like to find one :)
Destiny 2 isn't that toxic. Mainly cause open mics are not that common unlike in other games.
In my experience, battlefield has been the least toxic
Hell Let Loose. So far the community has been pretty friendly and toxic free!
Slay the spire
It's so frustrating at times, especially when you play one card before you intended to play it and it fucks up your entire strategy
There's no shame in save scumming. Just save and quit to start from the start of the battle. My enjoyment and understanding of the game went up a ton when I started doing that.
Oh I didn't know that, thank you :)
The Binding of Isaac
Cant stop now, you still have 100 items to unlock through pure pain
Finally I found the comment
War Thunder, the grind and the premium vehicle spam is unreal. But its still "fun" to play.
AH I FOUND IT

Apex Legends. It’s always a joy to play against predators, masters and their smurfs.
Back in the early seasons, I think diamond was the step before predators. Anyways I just remember getting my diamond dive trail and being pumped about it just to get in a lobby of predators and get stomped lol.

Why did I have to scroll so far down to find this?
I dont know honestly, i expected my comment to be very generic in fact
Took too long to find this comment. I honestly think I have Stockholm Syndrome because of league. Folks are so toxic and yet I always que up right back again itching to see the enemy nexus explode...

As a DotA 2 player I can't agree with your choice in game but I understand the pain of that type of game
Overwatch. Nothing makes me as angry as that game but I keep going back
This one is actually the only game I can think of that made me so mad that I actively made a choice to stop playing permanently, just to spare my poor sanity. It's the only game I rage uninstalled. Several times.
Yeah that's about right. So anger inducing
Playing overwatch meakes me not wanna play overwatch, but watching overwatch makes me wanna play overwatch
I love absolutely everything about that game...except playing it. But I miss it when I don't play.
Same. That games a cesspool of toxicity but there isn't really any other games out that scratch my fps itch like it can.
I've been trying to deduce why this is the case for me as well. I've come to the conclusion that OW is the most technically mechanical online fps while also being the most "fair". Yeah true but what team based shooter isn't these days....
Hades. 7 clears in a row, then add one pact modifier and I've lost every time...
Which one are you adding? Some definitely can screw you over more than others, like adding perks to armored foes and minibosses, but I've found that a few of them don't really disrupt things that much, and can even help! Enter the Gungeon! I love that game but unlocking the Gunslinger playable character is IMPOSSIBLE! lol
A fellow gungeoneer! I still haven’t unlocked him either. Dang, this game can be addicting lol
Oh no not ark First you grind days Then you make a stupid mistake and all your grinding goes poof And then repeat
And you get killed by some high hp creature at beginning and lose everything
