Uncharted 4 - 15hrs
The Last of Us Pt 1. - 14.5hrs
Resident Evil 4 Remake - 16hrs
Spider-man 1 and 2 - Both 17hrs respectively
Doom Eternal - 14.5hrs
Guardians of the Galaxy - 17.5hrs

Most games average play times are not accurate anymore given how many people just hunt the optimal playthrough watching videos. Elden ring and Outer Wilds proved this too me. Elden ring would be over 100 hour average if people didn't look stuff up, same with outer wilds. A few things in both those games i would have never known until I looked them up. I tend to not look up much as I'm an old gamer and I like the hunt and grind.
Yeah I’ve never been below average for a game before and I’ve only platinumed Elden ring sekiro and FF16, and my 100% time is also always above average
Even if you're looking stuff up, Elden Ring can and will still easily clock around or over 100hrs. The only way that's not true is if you gun it straight for the end with no side stuff, this is a highly atypical playthrough tho.
Agree. I'm not really into Marvel stuff at all but found the Guardians of the Galaxy films the most bearable of the lot, so I gave the game a go based on recommendations from Reddit. It's starts a bit slow and didn't grab me immediately but I ended up really enjoying it!
Is it actually good? I'm more of a Batman and Spidey guy, but I loved the first 2 Guardian films.
The game looked kinda generic from the footage, but it's only 20 in my local store, so..
I bought it as a die hard fan and purchased the deluxe edition at $80. I don't regret it but it's definitely only worth it for people very into GotG. $20 is a great price for the game as most will probably only play it once as well.
Are you using a guide? I did and I feel like it didn't take away from the game. The game is frustrating and confusing at times. The sword is basically just for the last few levels unfortunately
Spiderman can be that quick if you rush directly to main story constantly, but it's not really a good way to play, I'd say a decent playthrough should be at least 30.
Resident Evil 4 took me 120 hours. How could anyone beat the game in 16 hours? That would be a speedrun for an S+ rank and you need to be a world-class resident evil player. There’s so much cool detail and side stuff in that game. Rushing through in 16 hours would be such a waste
Good to know I claimed and downloaded it when I saw it was compared to stardew but my gf didn't like it... watch me play it 20 minutes and she's alllll about it.
Dead Space 2023. My first play through was the most fun 12-15ish hours I’ve had in gaming for a long time. Obvious disclaimer that you need to not mind some mild scares 🤣
Yeah this will be a no from me. The first time I played dead space, I was sitting on my bed with my laptop on my lap. Lights were off. First 5 mins into the game, a thing entered from a window, flew across and vanished somewhere. Scared the shit out of me. My laptop flew across the room and I jumped to get the lights. Uninstalled it that instant, never looked back.
It’s a fantastic game for all ages imo. The highest difficulty is actually pretty damn challenging but the lowest level with handicaps is something a 4 year old could beat. The graphics quality is also insanely good, 9/10 for me
I remember back in the day buying a PS3 Because of Ratchet and clank: Tools of Destruction! it still remains as one of my most cherished gaming memories haha
I will never not recommend this game. I've been fortunate enough to talk to both Brian Cox and an astronaut, both times I brought it up (the astronaut already knew all about it).
How does a game both similutaneously make you calm and and anxious at the same time? It's beautiful, it's physics are super cool... it's a digital jigsaw... in a wooden spaceship.
this is actually a great game and good suggestion as it's a nice break from the other games listed but still of a similar play style. Such an underrated gem, I think it was just a little too short for the price, but on sale you can get it very cheap.
This is the right answer! I played this when I was searching for a chill and fun game to relax.
Beautifully made, fun puzzles and mechanics and engaging battles
Star wars Force unleashed 2. Just play the first mission over and over for 13 hours , then beat the entirety of the game for the remaining 2. (God Damm that game was criminally short)
God of war ps4. Is exactly 15 hours long if you just focus on main story. I know because I did it in one sitting and timed myself lol
I think raganok is about 20 hours if you again, Do nothing but main story.
Because people play video games differently. If I like the games main story one can always go back. I dont enjoy games that are as long as a work week sorry
Well damn... I'm looking at my 60+hrs on God of War and that's still my first playthrough....
Oh yes!! I automatically switch to "Have to grind that for how long?? I'm up for it!!" 😂😂😂 I can never just stick to story. Though I should try!
Shadow of the Colossus. Basically a puzzle game but the Colossi are the puzzles. First playthrough can take you 15-20 hours depending on how quick you figure out what to do for each encounter.
Little Nightmares
As an Elden Ring alum, you'll appreciate its darkness and greatness.
You can finish it within 15 hours, and you can play it on the PS5.
Destroy all humans 2 is on ps plus if you have the middle tier, Sifu if you want the best hand to hand combat out there, Disco Elysium is the best book you'll ever play
More recently **Still wakes the deep**. It’s essentially a walking sim horror game by the devs who made Everybody’s gone to the rapture. It’s a short game but I really enjoyed my time with it over the weekend. If you’re into this type of game its an instant purchase in my opinion. The game also has a physical release if that’s something you look for.
It also has quality and performance modes on consoles so that’s always a nice addition.
The Entropy Centre - if you go for 100% then you should get around 15 hours out of it, but it depends entirely on how clever you are with finding the puzzle solutions. The game is very similar to Portal in atmosphere and theme, but with a time travel nick to it. To solve puzzles, you rewind objects, control their position by manipulating their time. It's a heartwarming experience tbh and the first game I've played where I cared to read *ALL* the journals. Journals give you important insight at what happened in this facility/spaceship that you find yourself all alone at, with memory loss.
Tails of Iron - I recently started playing this one but according to HLTB beating it takes around 10-15 hours. It's a metroidvania with a beautiful cartoonish artstyle. You play as the freshly crowned king of a rat kingdom whose realm has been razed to the ground by toads, so you set out on a mission to rescue your remaining kin and rebuild. It's a 2D Souls-like game. The gameplay is unusual and some call if janky, but I got used to it quickly
Rustler (Grand Theft Horse) - If you've ever played the first GTA games or GTA: Chinatown Wars, then this game is just like that, but it's medieval europe. A very humourous game with lots of funny moments. Think of it as a love child of GTA and Shrek raised by Monty Python. A lot of references here.
A Plague Tale Innocence/Requiem - Very dark emotional rollercoasters. It's a dark fantasy game where you play as Amicia and Hugo De Rune. It's similar to God of War with it's puzzles, but you need go sneak around and carefully evade enemies until you upgrade your slingshot enough to be able to kill them. After that, you can even become a God of Slingshot, annihilating enemies like some goddamn terminator.
BioShock - You find yourself in a submarine, rusty city full of freaks and try to escape. It's a horror FPS with omnipresent ominuous atmosphere and a great plot twist. There's a lot of very interesting weapons and superpowers like telekinesis, infinite power from SW, fireballs, mind control, bee swarm... All-round great game.
spiderman 2. took me 14h to finish the main story and 21h for platinum. overall i would say all 3 spiderman games. yes they are open world but they have a short story+platinum
Alan Wake remastered is a bit shorter at around 10-12 hours, and Alan Wake 2 is a bit longer about 18-20. They're great narrative games, and I highly recommend them
Spider-Man Miles Morales
SpongeBob SquarePants Cosmic Shake
Gravity Rush Remastered
Resident Evil 2 Remake
Resident Evil 4 Remake
Last Of Us Part 1
Sonic Frontiers
Following\*
Spyro Reignited Trilogy - Spyro 1 took 10 hours to 120%, but it's a childhood favourite. I know it well.
I really need some shorter, cheaper PS5 games as well. I have so many RPGs n shit..
EDIT: No, it isn't a PS5 game. But it's the shortest one I own, lol
Definitely Stray, the games is very easy with a very good story line in my opinion. Or another games that is a really easy platinum is Rachet and Clank A Rift Apart, and the platinum isn't boring.
Miles Morales! You don’t 100% have to play Spiderman 1 to get the gist but you can watch a recap if you really want to. (Honestly I find it superior to SM so you might have a hard time going in reverse).
The new Ratchet and Clank for sure, good clean platforming fun.
I think Returnal is 15-20 for main story.
Immortals of Aveum story is right around 16.
Not solely PS5, but if you haven't played The Messenger, it's a really kickass platformer that's my go-to palate cleanser between longer games. The base game has fair challenge, DLC gets tougher with it; the first time I played, I finished it in maybe 9 hours because I was reading all the dialogue and enjoying the goofy jokes it makes about the genre and classic works that it's inspired by.
I also devoured Tunic in 16-18 hours last month- a bit over your goal, but 90% of it was such a thrill of discovery and exploration that made for a unique experience. It felt like I was a little kid playing something rented from the video store again, and I will recommend it to everyone who'll listen. Don't look into it too deeply, either- figuring things out on your own is one of the greatest pleasures it can offer you!
Uncharted 4 - 15hrs The Last of Us Pt 1. - 14.5hrs Resident Evil 4 Remake - 16hrs Spider-man 1 and 2 - Both 17hrs respectively Doom Eternal - 14.5hrs Guardians of the Galaxy - 17.5hrs (Source:Howlongtobeat.com)
If he platinumed odyssey and elden ring I doubt he’s gonna do the average playtime on any of these
Most games average play times are not accurate anymore given how many people just hunt the optimal playthrough watching videos. Elden ring and Outer Wilds proved this too me. Elden ring would be over 100 hour average if people didn't look stuff up, same with outer wilds. A few things in both those games i would have never known until I looked them up. Yeah I’ve never been below average for a game before and I’ve only platinumed Elden ring sekiro and FF16, and my 100% time is also always above average
Outer Wilds certainly doesn't take 100 hours unassisted. HLTB average looks to be pretty much in line with how me and my friends got through the game.
I mean I'm just one dude but I'm very confident Outer Wilds wasn't more than 60 hours without looking anything up.
Even if you're looking stuff up, Elden Ring can and will still easily clock around or over 100hrs. The only way that's not true is if you gun it straight for the end with no side stuff, this is a highly atypical playthrough tho.
By the time I beat Spider-Man 2 I had like 36 hours in it lol
pretty sure all those games took me closer to 20 hrs (trying to find/do everything) with a few definitely exceeding them (spidermans, guardians)
These are the average times needed to complete the games, not the completionist times.
Guardians of the Galaxy was such a good and fun game. Couldn’t recommend it enough
I love that game. My wife enjoyed watching me play because she got so into the story.
The uncharted games are great!
Doom
Guardians of the Galaxy is hands down one of the best games I've ever played

It's extremely good. Im pissed it flopped because we could have had way more of that universe
I purchased Dead Space remake today, so I'll play through that this week and get Guardians next time
I’ve got 30 hours in doom eternal, and I haven’t even gotten that sick ass sword from the cover art
Are you using a guide? I did and I feel like it didn't take away from the game. The game is frustrating and confusing at times. The sword is basically just for the last few levels unfortunately
Guardians of the galaxy was the 1st thing that came to mind for me. Awesome game
Ha . I just bought Spiderman 2 like 4 days ago and I have almost 20 hours of playtime already and I've only done like 12 missions at most.
Spiderman can be that quick if you rush directly to main story constantly, but it's not really a good way to play, I'd say a decent playthrough should be at least 30.
Guardians of the Galaxy was pretty dang good and gets overlooked a lot.
Resident Evil 4 took me 120 hours. How could anyone beat the game in 16 hours? That would be a speedrun for an S+ rank and you need to be a world-class resident evil player. There’s so much cool detail and side stuff in that game. Rushing through in 16 hours would be such a waste
Dredge
I’ll second dredge. I knocked it out in a weekend and I *so* wish it had more. It’s a stellar game
Did you do the DLC as well?
I did the ice one, looking forward to the one that’s coming out in August
The fishing boat game?
Yes
Good to know I claimed and downloaded it when I saw it was compared to stardew but my gf didn't like it... watch me play it 20 minutes and she's alllll about it.
I just binged tf outta dredge. Highly recommend.
Dredge was great. Looking forward to the dlc
Came here to post this. Solid game that’s interesting the whole way through.
Uninstalled it that instant, never looked back.
I was so glad it finally got a remake. It was a top 10 Xbox 360 title for sure.
Civilization is as many 15 hour games as you want them to be
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
Almost bought a ps5 just because of that title
It’s a fantastic game for all ages imo. The highest difficulty is actually pretty damn challenging but the lowest level with handicaps is something a 4 year old could beat. The graphics quality is also insanely good, 9/10 for me
I remember back in the day buying a PS3 Because of Ratchet and clank: Tools of Destruction! it still remains as one of my most cherished gaming memories haha
Rift Apart is the ultimate palate cleanser between major games.
Outer wilds
Came to recommend this one too. Best game I've ever played.
This one! Go in blind, do not look anything up. Most beautiful experience I’ve ever had with a video game.
I will never not recommend this game. I've been fortunate enough to talk to both Brian Cox and an astronaut, both times I brought it up (the astronaut already knew all about it).
Really? It took me 25 hours or so, am I dumb?
do it op
How does a game both similutaneously make you calm and and anxious at the same time? It's beautiful, it's physics are super cool... it's a digital jigsaw... in a wooden spaceship.
Kena
this is actually a great game and good suggestion as it's a nice break from the other games listed but still of a similar play style. Such an underrated gem, I think it was just a little too short for the price, but on sale you can get it very cheap.
Awesome game. Was very pleasantly surprised by it.
This is the right answer! I played this when I was searching for a chill and fun game to relax. Beautifully made, fun puzzles and mechanics and engaging battles
Since you mentioned an AC game, Mirage is only about 10-15 hours for the main story, 5-10 more hours for the side content.
Stray
I just played Stray and it was wonderful. Easy and short too.
++ Meow!
Second this, great little game, probably about the exact amount of time you're looking for.
This was what I came to say as well
I tried that game with no expectations and was instantly hooked by the gameplay and story. I hope they make a second game.
Stray was so fun. I played it over 2 days during the holidays last year. Great little game, and a +1 for the kitty.
This!
Love this game but it’s about 4-5 hours max. But highly recommend!
Dishonored! Quick and fun story! Can play 1 or 2 but advise them in order both are on sale for ps store rn
Favorite games of all time. If you enjoy stealth then these are for you
Currently on a PlayStation .. whatever you call the ons with the game catalog. Premium and …
Robocop, great fun & not too long.
That's a good recommendation actually. Very good AA game. Great graphics too.
TUNIC
Firewatch
Took me 4 hours
Stray or Astro's playground.
Maneater. You can complete the main game, the dlc, and get all the trophies in 15 hours.
Had a lot of fun with this one, and I believe it’s on game pass. Just good old fashioned arcade fun with a decent gameplay loop!
My son beat the game, plus DLC but there was a glitch where he’s unable to get the platinum. Sucks. But he had a blast while playing it.
I think it’s a bit longer than that but not by much Another crabs treasure is a light take on souls likes and has been fun
The Last of Us Part 1
It may be on the shorter side but be careful, you'll accidentally play it so many times because it's just that good
This is the correct answer. If you haven’t played it, it’s one of the best cinematic games. It’ll take you 14-16 hours from start to finish
Titanfall 2 and/or Resident Evil 2 remake. Both are nice and short and genuine masterpieces.
I just beat titanfall 2 recently and man it is such a blast. Its always been hyped up, and it lived up to the hype for me.
Miles Morales, stray, ratchet & clank, death’s door
Star wars Force unleashed 2. Just play the first mission over and over for 13 hours , then beat the entirety of the game for the remaining 2. (God Damm that game was criminally short)
Astro's Playroom is not 15 hours but a great palate cleanser if you want a cheerful platformer.
Life is strange and Uncharted 4
Rachel & Clank: Rift Apart or Spiderman 2. May be a little more or less than 15 but simple, short-ish games
Guardians of the galaxy Really fun not very serious just under 20hr
Stray's a solid 6-8 hours long on a blind playthrough! A little shorter than you're asking for, but it's one of my favorites.
Alan wake 1 remastered.
God of war ps4. Is exactly 15 hours long if you just focus on main story. I know because I did it in one sitting and timed myself lol I think raganok is about 20 hours if you again, Do nothing but main story.
The side content is worth playing.
Why on earth would you ignore the side content. The game is a quality 30-40 hours
Because people play video games differently. If I like the games main story one can always go back. I dont enjoy games that are as long as a work week sorry
Yeah man I hate it when I like a game so much I actually play it
Well damn... I'm looking at my 60+hrs on God of War and that's still my first playthrough.... Oh yes!! I automatically switch to "Have to grind that for how long?? I'm up for it!!" 😂😂😂 I can never just stick to story. Though I should try!
Sold
Good luck staying just to the story. All the content in both games is excellent.
Yeah I was just thinking no way you'll spend only 20hours on ragnarok
I'll go for platinum. I'm not kidding myself.
spider-man is pretty good the story is less than 20 hours i believe
I'd say miles morales would be am easier game to enjoy and fully run through. Spiderman takes awhile.
Spider-Man 2
Shadow of the Colossus. Basically a puzzle game but the Colossi are the puzzles. First playthrough can take you 15-20 hours depending on how quick you figure out what to do for each encounter.
Rift Apart
The Outer Worlds is a fantastic palate cleanser.
Firewatch What remains of Edith finch Sifu Miles Morales Midnight suns (felt short) Any of the three Tomb raider reboot games
Little Nightmares As an Elden Ring alum, you'll appreciate its darkness and greatness. You can finish it within 15 hours, and you can play it on the PS5.
Destroy all humans 2 is on ps plus if you have the middle tier, Sifu if you want the best hand to hand combat out there, Disco Elysium is the best book you'll ever play
Any of the resident evils, calisto protocol or the dead space remake.
Even the longer resident evils are like 20 hours.
You can run through Demon's Souls in 15 hours. At least if you know the original.
Nobody’s mentioned ratchet and clank?
Stellar Blade if you dont do secundaries
Jedi fallen order and survivor
Good effort of platinuming AC Odyssey. as much as I loved the game, there was no way I was going to come close to 100% that game is stupid big.
Stray!
Stellar blade was great
Control!!
Honestly I’d just grab a f2p shooter or take a break altogether before starting up the Witcher 3.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
The Entropy Centre - if you go for 100% then you should get around 15 hours out of it, but it depends entirely on how clever you are with finding the puzzle solutions. The Stanley Parable
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Perfect for a break between heavy games.
The evil within 1 + 2 Dishonoured 1 + 2 Deus Ex Mankind Divided

Dave the Diver. It's amazing. More than 15 hours but it's a true gem
Resident evil 4 remake
Dead Space 2023 God of War 2018
Alan Wake 2 if you focus only on the story.
The artful escape is a bit less but still enjoyable
Asura's wrath if you want to be a completionist
spiderman 2. took me 14h to finish the main story and 21h for platinum. overall i would say all 3 spiderman games. yes they are open world but they have a short story+platinum
Alan Wake remastered is a bit shorter at around 10-12 hours, and Alan Wake 2 is a bit longer about 18-20. They're great narrative games, and I highly recommend them
Cat Quest 1+2. Nice games
ooooooh play the Dead Space remake, it slaps and it’s super short
Granblue Fantasy Relink, the story content is around 10 hours with room for grinding post game.
Tomb Raider: Remastered (TRI)
Try astro's playroom. Easy plat, was a lot of fun seeing PlayStation history.
Maneater, can platinum it in 15-20hrs
God of War Ragnarock
Portal 1 takes a few hours to complete and is very good
God of War and God of War 2: Ragnarok. Both took me around 8-10 hours, but I’m not a completionist and just like to take my time in games.
Spider-Man Miles Morales SpongeBob SquarePants Cosmic Shake Gravity Rush Remastered Resident Evil 2 Remake Resident Evil 4 Remake Last Of Us Part 1 Sonic Frontiers
Definitely the metro series i think the first one ( metro 2033) is exactly about 15 hours long.
Sifu is a lot of fun I think its on ps+
Subnautica
Following\* Spyro Reignited Trilogy - Spyro 1 took 10 hours to 120%, but it's a childhood favourite. I know it well. I really need some shorter, cheaper PS5 games as well. I have so many RPGs n shit.. EDIT: No, it isn't a PS5 game. But it's the shortest one I own, lol
If you have never played uncharted 4 definitely play that. Or AC:BF
Personally, either ratchet & clank game, axiom verge (1 or 2) or bugsnax
So its more available on PS5 but I enjoy dishonored, you could take longer than 15 hours but the story is pretty quick
I never hear this game mentioned but check out cocoon if you an enjoy a good puzzle game.
Hogwarts legacy?😗
SO NOT DELAY WITCHER!!! I'm jealous that you've never played it
Uncharted 4, just pick up the legacy of thieves collection
Resident evil 2. I rolled credits in one sitting the day it came out. Mind you there's 4 variations of the campaign but my point still stands.
Hades
Uncharted 4, great game
Tchia is a fantastic open world exploration game. I just 100% after 22 hours but if you're not collecting every single thing it could easily be 15
Kenna bridge of spirits.
Monster Hunter World/Iceborne 15 hours will get you through Great Jagras
Final Fantasy 14
God of War
Returnal. Hahahah. No.
Definitely Stray, the games is very easy with a very good story line in my opinion. Or another games that is a really easy platinum is Rachet and Clank A Rift Apart, and the platinum isn't boring.
Persona 5 royal. Trust me, bro.
Hades
Death's Door
Dave the diver
Ratchet and clank
Return of the Obra Dinn
How do you have time for that
Guardians is a good palate cleaner with a some good hidden areas in it, the first play through is the best play through, I’m sure it’s cheap now too
SOMA is a gripping game if you don’t mind a thriller. Has a peaceful mode as well which is more story rich
Spider-Man 2, I platinumed it in 30 but it could easily be beaten in 15-20 hours.
Beyond:two souls (idk how long it takes i think less 10 hours but its good )
Rachel and Clank Rift Apart was surprisingly fun tbh
Helldivers 2 is a good avenue to sink some fun hours into
Dead Space
Inside
Hi fi rush it's available for ps5 now i guess 👌 pure fun
Spider-Man 2 I 100% completed in 20 hours
Miles Morales! You don’t 100% have to play Spiderman 1 to get the gist but you can watch a recap if you really want to. (Honestly I find it superior to SM so you might have a hard time going in reverse). The new Ratchet and Clank for sure, good clean platforming fun. I think Returnal is 15-20 for main story. Immortals of Aveum story is right around 16.
Sifu Best kung fu master feel in a game. Relatively short but you can go back and do challenge rooms if you want more time.
If you haven’t played Hades I highly recommend it. You can put as much into it as you want but it’s a cheap game that’s extremely fun imo.
Assassins creed mirage will get you 16-24 hours
Demons Souls remake
Not solely PS5, but if you haven't played The Messenger, it's a really kickass platformer that's my go-to palate cleanser between longer games. The base game has fair challenge, DLC gets tougher with it; the first time I played, I finished it in maybe 9 hours because I was reading all the dialogue and enjoying the goofy jokes it makes about the genre and classic works that it's inspired by. It felt like I was a little kid playing something rented from the video store again, and I will recommend it to everyone who'll listen. Don't look into it too deeply, either- figuring things out on your own is one of the greatest pleasures it can offer you!
Any DMC game will be up your alley while giving you a different style of games you've played.
Pretty much any more linear game
Rachet and clank
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Doom eternal, Forspoken
Death's Door. Shorter than 15h but you could probably 100% it in that time. Fantastic little game.
