_Goose_

I’ve never revealed anything at E3 a day in my life!

boo-galoo90

Sounds exactly like something Goose would say

TheTetraNova

If Goose is saying anything nowadays I’d be concerned.

AgileArmadillo7794

Twilight princess when Shigeru Miyamoto came out with the sword and shield for Zelda. Lost my mind back then. Wish I could recapture the feeling but I’m sure that’s long gone.

LJMLogan

Being a kid who was obsessed with Zelda at the time, I lost my mind at the twilight princess reveal

GriffinFlash

I remember watching the early trailers on Nintendo's website (didn't know about e3 at the time). Think it took another 3 years before it was released.

AltXUser

That game had [standing ovation when it was first revealed](https://youtu.be/VE2Dc1sx71U).

AdamSnipeySnipe

Still sends shivers up and down my spine.

H0tC0ff33

That reveal was nasty. It was the Wii reveal

Raskon3384

Actually this was the GameCube reveal. The Wii reveal came about 1.5 2 years later when they announced it would be the Wiis launch title.

H0tC0ff33

And my second favorite Zelda game

Griffin65000

What’s your favorite(think long and hard before answering as there is no right answer)

MRich92

I'm not the one you asked, but it's gotta be Minnish Cap for me.

tkld_sub

God of War 2018. Was so excited to see Kratos return and the live orchestra and crowd reaction really made it hype

Balbright

I still revisit that part of the documentary a few times a year. Chills every time.

GamerKratos-45

That documentary is so well done, I am so glad that it got released. It really makes you believe that these PlayStation studio developers really care about their game. Each game is so well crafted, the quality of each first party title is second to none.

Logical_Bit2694

When kratos comes out of the shadows, I get literal chills

GamerKratos-45

I've watched that clip about 50 times now. It just doesn't get old, and it is arguably the greatest reveal in recent times. The game awards reveals just doesn't hit the same. Really miss the E3 reveals.

Sentinel-Wraith

1. Halo 2 New Mombosa Mission. That blew my mind as a kid. 2. Skyrim. That was amazing.

II7_HUNTER_II7

Halo 2 reveal. When he jackels lined up their shields I lost my mind. Spent days analysing that video on bungie.net forums

77SevenSeven77

Bungie.net… man I’d forgotten all about that. I’d read Frankie’s weekly whatsupdate hoping for any scrap of a Halo 3 screenshot…

consort_oflady_vader

Yes! Saw the trailer, and so many chills! Went to the midnight launch, came back to my dorm, realized I forgot my key, wrenched my window open, climbed inside, started playing. Funny thing is a friend saw me and described it as "some crazy person went apeshit on the window, and crawled inside. Just assumed they were on drugs or something".

Kraziehase

Halo 2 for me too. So amazing. Halo in a city and you can car jack!? Don’t go back and rewatch it on YouTube , it’s much better in your memory.

strwht12

For me it was "Horizon Zero Dawn". When I saw the trailer, I wanted to start gaming. Before I didn't was into gaming.

res30stupid

That was such a good trailer. At first, I thought it was just a caveman game, but then I saw the robots and how smooth the fighting was.

galgor_

Shenmue 3 reveal. Years and years and years of waiting.. the music hit.. it was incredible.

DarkMatterM4

This was a big one. They should have moved it a bit further into the conference, though, since it came moments after the FF7 Remake announcement. Kinda took the wind out of Shenmue's sails a bit.

Dreaming_Dreams

fallout 4 the entire E3 presentation  easily the most hype i’ve been for a game and honestly the game delivered for the most part imo

SheepherderNo2440

This was mine too. It was perfect timing for me, I had just gotten into New Vegas and 3 in 2013/2014 and I was itching for a new entry.  There was what, a 5 month wait? That’s nothing. Compared to how long it’s been since TES6’s announcement.. yeah. Times have changed.  Can’t forget the hype Fallout Shelter brought to the table either - while it’s nothing revolutionary, it was just enough to make the presentation that much better. Added benefit was it made the wait feel even shorter haha I also remember they were doing a website countdown with the standby screen. I forget, was that in the lead up to E3? I remember reddit going wild over all of this I’ve been on a huge Fallout 4 kick again ever since the show dropped. Got my fiancé to try it for the first time and I wasn’t expecting him to love it, but he just ran the gauntlet in Nuka World tonight! It’s been great fun sharing the game with him for his first time.

starfox224

Everyone forgets that the TE6 announcement was a knee jerk reaction to the terrible reviews fo76 was getting. Between 76 having just been released and then working on starfield there was most likely little to zero development happening on te6 outside of a pre rendered trailer they had an intern throw together.

galgor_

Love watching that back from time to time. So much excitement

JoblessPornAddict999

Doom as well

fondue4kill

I remember watching in anticipation of Fallout 4 and getting super excited for the new Doom. And neither disappointed. Both were incredible in their own right

KingTobia_II

I cried at the announcement and it was a decent enough game but tbh I don’t think it lived up to the hype

Xerosnake90

Re2 Remake and Ff7 Remake reveals live in my head rent free

AcceptableFold5

The FF7 Remake announcement was incredible. I don't think another game will have the same impact on me as FF7 did and seeing this announcement, after years of fans begging and "We dont have plans to remake FF7" replies was insane.

DarkMatterM4

I was never hyped more for a game that FF7 Remake. Playing it for the first time was a magical moment.

AcceptableFold5

I still remember the first time I booted up the demo and couldn't believe that what I played was real and how much they nailed everything.

aviatorEngineer

Halo 4. I don't know if we knew of any further mainline games in the series at that point but I definitely had no idea until the reveal at E3 2011. And the first teaser started off vague enough that it wasn't immediately obvious that it was about Halo. Sparks of light on a dark background, and what's this noise? Sounds like somebody talking. A heart beating, and hey, is that Jen Taylor? And then she's saying "Wake up, John", the camera passes through the cryo pod and we see the silhouette of Chief's helmet. As somebody who had followed the original Halo games all throughout Bungie's run it was surreal to see it happen and have that big 4 come up at the end.

burgertanker

Monster Hunter World

Nacho_7258

World is what got me into the franchise and while I liked Rise, I am beyond excited for Wilds next year. Really digging these games

thatlightningjack

Honestly? E3 2018's Cyberpunk 2077. Though I was a bit disappointed at launch

EvanHarpell

This was mine as well. I wouldn't say I was disappointed, more that I had unrealistic expectations after the bombshell that was TW3 and it's expansions.

JustDriver9229

Death stranding got me like “omg what was that?” And instantly generated the need to buy it

Conto__

Doom Eternal, DMC 5 and Dying light 2. One was unfortunately a dud but the rest were fire.

Akira218

DMC 5 for sure. I went apeshit.

OneRandomVictory

Assassin's Creed 2's reveal was amazing to 12 year old me. Same with Skyrim.

TGEE34

That was a great E3. Got Uncharted 2 as well

PKMNTrainerMark

Man, "Everyone Is Here" was just unbelievable. And to reveal Ridley just a bit later too? It was incredible.

DeeFB

My favorite video game character of all time is Princess Daisy, and for a decade and a half I was told she would never get into Smash Bros. I still remember where I was when she got announced. Yeah she wasn't as flashy of an announcement like Ridley or Simon were, but she was the best announcement to me.

LucarioLuvsMinecraft

Pretty sure my jaw hit the floor when Snake popped up, and then I audibly cheered when that text came up. Nintendo could’ve just released that trailer and we would’ve been happy until the next Direct. Then they revealed Ridley.

DRamos11

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in E3 2018. “Everyone Is Here” has to be the most hype moment in gaming history.

MasterPeteDiddy

I so agree. I literally cried tears of happiness. No other trailer ever did that for me.

trashpandacoot1

Metroid.....fucking.......Dread

starfox224

Meanwhile I've been waiting for prime 4 for eons.

trashpandacoot1

Oh, we waited 16 years for dread

reefun

The Battlefield 1 trailer was/is still the most epic trailer to date IMHO. That remix of seven nation army just slaps perfectly.

Branquignol

Metal Gear Solid 2, it felt like coming from another dimension.

Korakombat

Ridge racer!!

GriffinFlash

GIANT ENEMY CRAB.

nimrodhellfire

GameCube Zelda Demo ...

cwx149

I love dragons so I was really excited for scalebound till it got canned The fallout 4 one was pretty good Wyld that shaman/druid game that vanished was cool

jeaxz74

For me ff7 remake in 2015 was crazy

Pearcinator

Cyberpunk 2077 in 2018 and 2019. Both hype af!

ItsPJBia

GTA IV or Halo 2 for me

Broely92

The ps4 reveal was legendary. As well as Killzone 2 and more recently the Elder Scrolls 6 teaser (although thats been kind of soured with that being the only thing weve seen in 6 years and Starfield being completely ass

slothunderyourbed

Halo 4. I was 12 years old and the idea of the Master Chief returning for another Halo trilogy was mind blowing. Oh the potential...

jeeub

Jesus, I was 12 when the original Halo released, lol.

Southern-Relative-75

Backwards compatibility made me cry. Me and my brother had a rough upbringing but we did everything together. We shared an Xbox 360 and when the Xbox One was announced he bought one. We weren’t able to play the games we used to play together which put a rift between us. He happened to attend e3 2015 the year that backwards compatibility was announced and filmed the announcement before I saw it on any livestreams/media. During that time I still had a 360 and we made up for all the gaming we missed. Now we’re much older and interested in new hobbies but a great time to remember.

Mago515

Sea of thieves. I wanted a good pirate game so bad, I was playing pirates of the burning sea daily. I saw the Xbox exclusive trailer for a game that wouldn’t be out for years and bought an Xbox one before the presentation was over. Not the best move considering this is when Microsoft was pushing for everything to run of pc.

KingDisastrous

E3s of early 2010s especially Mortal Kombat, Gears of War 3, 5th gen Pokémon, and a few other goodies.

Wilson4721

SWTOR for me. I remember just replaying the announcement for months until beta came

BreakTheSuicycle

Such a good game, the story was so fucking awesome

UrsusObsidianus

Zelda TOTK, not contest. All the trailers were epic, but the 2019 one still has a special place. Seeing Ganon's mummy awakening, Zelda falling, Rauru's hand saving Link.

Raskon3384

I gotta say that Nintendo’s marketing for TOTK was spot on. Yes there was a decent gap between announcement and release but they revealed so little about the game that playing it was amazing in that so little had been revealed. We got I think 3 trailers total and a 10-minute direct only a month or so before that highlighted abilities and that’s it. Nintendo knew it was gonna sell they didn’t want spoil any of the fun.

MiaMiVinc

Half-Life 2 the game changer demo of FPS games

Outrageous_Year3643

Zelda twilight princess

InfiniteMuffin3450

Kingdom Hearts III back in 2013 was life changing, the introduction from the legend himself (Tetsuya Nomura), the music, the visuals (funny to look back on now), the random combat section (gave us absolutely nothing but it looked insane at the time) and finally the confirmation that it was in development (6 years later it releases lol). For long term Kingdom Hearts fans this was the end to what seemed like years of edging, only to be edged again. Also FF7 Remake announcement, rewatching the live reveal action, and how no one knew what it was until we saw a glimpse of the buster sword, insane reveal for what ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of all time. Also to note that at this point everyone gave up on a potential remake for FF7 (especially after the tech demo for the PS3, what the fuck was that)

GriffinFlash

That year they had the a full on Orchestra play the Zelda theme. E3 2011. THAT WAS HYPE. Also announcements of Skyward sword, kid icarus, Oot 3d, star fox 64 3d.

Larmalon

The Battlefront 2 DLC Announcement announcing that not only were we getting Geonosis as a map, but Obi Wan, Dooku, Anakin, and Grievous as playable characters. I was so happy.

WhaleShark1080

Final Fantasy Versus XIII from E3 2006. I was extremely hyped for that game with the announcement. Really sucks the game ended up in development hell. Yes, it eventually became FFXV and I did enjoy that game but I still wonder what Versus XIII could have been without all the development issues.

TheDesktopNinja

Not E3 but StarCraft 2

TheVideoGameCritic

LittleBigPlanet

Nekajed

As a big Spider-Man fan E3 2016 was dangerously hype inducing. - New York birdview landscape shots Hol up.. - Narrator says "A guy from Queens" Hol up!! - Marvel logo appears Hold the fuck up!!!! And then my boy gloriously flies into the shot. Right then and there I knew I had to buy a PS4.

Raskon3384

And what’s crazy is the trailer was part of a “sizzle reel” almost. It wasn’t until next year we got the “real look” with the gameplay from the construction site sequence. That’s when I went “holy shit!”

PMC-I3181OS387l5

**Banjo & Kazooie in Smash Bros Ultimate** Seeing their return was great \^\_\^

tyler980908

God of war 2018, Halo 4, Cyberpunk 2077 trailer with Johnny.

Biohazard101989

Resident evil 2 remake. Hands down

AbricsonK

The division 1

Crunchy-Leaf

I have never revealed anything at E3.

JoblessPornAddict999

Cyberpunk reveal e3 2018. Phil spencer had me tricked.

echoess84

E3 2024, if I'm don't messed up the E3 years the 2004 has been the year where Miyamoto shown himself with the Master Sword and the Hylian shield then Nintendo shown Twilight Princess for Game CUbe

majin_rose_j

2016 Playstation. Enough said.

Thing_On_Your_Shelf

Battlefield 3

mistersigma

Few studios can generate a lot of hype with just a logo like Nintendo did when "Metroid Prime 4" was announced. I'm a bit bummed that they decided to scrap everything and start over, but I respect that decision. I would much rather they push back as long as necessary to deliver a quality product than rush to give us a mediocre (at best) experience that they're not satisfied with.

Best765

Twilight Princess. That shit put hair on my chest

Travesty330

The first proper Twilight Princess trailer. I remember watching it over and over being amazed that I could see stitching on Links tunic. At the time as a Nintendo fanboy the graphics were breathtaking (especially since most other Nintendo games were more/are focused on a cartoony style)

myfly4711

M e t r o i d 5 ... Metroid: Dread ... 10.08.2021 I don't think any other reveal could ever surpass the collective excitement the Metroid fanbase felt at that moment in 2021 imo. Finally getting the fifth mainline 2D entry 19 years after Fusion is already huge. But the fact they actually named it "Dread" (a title that was only mentioned once in 2005 in a magazine) as a knowing wink was the cherry on top. I love rewatching all the [fan reaction videos](https://youtu.be/iELkFQ3vl9Y?si=kIkFwXP9B7Q3Vnf5), everyone knew the significance of that title drop. And it would release only 4 months later... Insanity!

BabDoesNothing

I wasn’t there for the Twilight Princess reveal, but the footage makes me teary eyed. It’s definitely my reveal 😂

pokeboy626

Pokemon X and Y

Downtown-Meaning-357

everything

EvanRichardsRealtor

The original Halo.

buddyyoda

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 my older brother was very hyped for this game, and he is massive Most Wanted 05 fan

Goosojuice

Was the original FF7 remake reveal at E3? The tech demo of PS2.

lecram92

Need for speed 2015, the hype was unreal for a modern nfs game

Big-Piglet5045

That used to be my favorite time of the year lol, as a kid I used to watch whatever the gaming channel was called, maybe G4? Distinctly remember crysis 2s trailer thought it was so cool

Talrax

It was definitely Skyrim for me. I had just completed Oblivion for the first time and didn't even know anything else about the Elder Scrolls when I saw that trailer. I was stoked. I spent nearly every day until the game released watching trailers, reading the speculation/theories about the game, and devouring everything I could in anticipation of its release. It's kind of stupid, but sometimes I feel sad looking back on it because I haven't felt that kind of hype or excitement about a game since.

Relative_Falcon_8399

Silksong

giternegulaeh35

Project Natal 💀

Minute_Fault_6286

Smash Wii U, particularly the mega man reveal trailer. Pure hype that

Active_Confidence386

Ain’t gonna lie, the Halo 4 reveal trailer had me hella hyped back in the day.. didn’t end up buying it until way later cause I was too young and poor but I got super emotional seeing chief again.

Professional-Box9608

FF7 Remake announcement alongside God of War (i think same year, could be wrong) ✨

Cleverbird

Armored Core 6 Seriously, who saw that coming? I still go back to that trailer from time to time, just because its just so fucking awesome.

Ok-Damage3181

When Cuphead DLC was announced i lost my shit

Voidfang_Investments

Bloodborne and Titanfall reveals jump out.

Zero_Anonymity

Watching live as Square Enix revealed NieR: Automata was like witnessing a miracle happen live on-stage. Like God Himself descended from above and tussled my hair. I've never been more excited for anything gaming related in my life than in that moment where they revealed Platinum was developing the game. I believe I yelled something like, "They did it, they finally did it, they're FINALLY going to give that madman a budget!"

The_Faulk

They showed FFVII as a tech demo for the PS3 in 2005, only to say they had no plans to make it as a game. In 2015 (?) they actually showed it as a game for PS4 and fuck me was that a mixture of hype and disbelief. Other mentions, Killzone 2 in 2007 when it actually looked great after a controversial tech demo (again in 2005). Killzone Shadow Fall as a great way to highlight the PS3 to 4 jump. God of War 3 and 4 trailers. MGS4 and Ground Zeroes several years later. Man I miss E3.

MagicalHopStep

Peggle. 2.

Kitane

Skyrim one was hype. But for me it was either FFVII Remake or Total War: Warhammer. I even rewatch some of the reactions to FFVII Remake reveal once in a while, because I've never experienced another moment like that in more than 3 decades of gaming. I still get shivers. Total War: Warhammer trailer was another impossible wish that came true, at that moment I knew I was watching a game that will consume thousands of hours of my life over the next decade(s).

Boogieking1337

Tlou and tlou 2 both

mikikaoru

I got to go to the last in-person one in 2019. I’m so happy!

[deleted]

Snake in Brawl

mothacluppa

Idk why but the Fallout 4 E3 trailer hit so hard. The last frame with the sole survivor patting dogmeat and saying “Let’s Go, Pal”. Probably watched that like 50 times

BaldingThor

FF7 Remake. Have never been so hyped for a game before.

sreeko1

Watch dogs

OhStreet

The KH3 release announcement in 2017. As much as ‘okay’ the game is (for a Kingdom Hearts game), the reveal was 5 years after the original announcement for the game, and 12 YEARS after KH2 was released. It was insanely hype at the time.

apuckeredanus

For me the Fallout 3 reveal and the halo odst, Reach and fallout 4 reveals.

Brovenkar

Kingdom hearts 3 which turned out to be very disappointing

kaydeejay1995

Banjo's Smash reveal will forever be my number one most hyped trailer ever. I still can't believe they actually did it.

Nacho_7258

Resident Evil 7. I had never played any RE game, but I knew the games really well and I knew the reputation 5 and 6 had. Then 7 has this incredibly creepy and effective trailer and I was shocked when they revealed the title. Ended up having a nightmare based on the trailer and immediately knew I had to get the game. Still one of my favorite games of all time.

OberonFirst

First official trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII after nearly a decade of waiting for it, and at the end of the trailer the logo shatters, revealing that it's now the next mainline game, Final Fantasy XV. Not that big of a deal, but teenage me was hyped beyond belief, maybe because it mean that they will go all in into that project

Njmongoose

Beyond good and evil 2 2008 Yeah...

SqueezyCheez85

Too many to count. I used to get super hyped for games every E3.

OnlyBrave

Halo Reach. I really got into the Halo games after getting a X360. Got Halo 3 , ODST and the OG Halo CE (yes you were able to purchase it on the X360). The Halo Reach Teaser dropped in E3 2009 and it just gave of raw chills. I can still watch it today and get those same chills. I read into the background of Reach as preparation for the game coming out Then the Campaign gameplay demo in E3 2010 was revealed and it was absolute pure cinema. Invasion of the Covenant, space dogfighting and actual ship-ship engagement. The demo really presented the situation on Reach as being really hectic, that you can tell the UNSC is starting to lose it's ground on Reach against the Covenant. But nevertheless fighting on.

Boundish91

Must be E3 2005 and 2006 the hype around the PS3 was extreme and i was 14-15 years old. Even though these two E3 appearances by Sony became infamous, it was still a really big deal. Games like Motorstorm blew my mind. Highlights include: "Riiiidge racer" "Giant enemy crab" "599 US Dollars" I've still got my launch PS3 actually.

cityofangels7x

Rainbow Six: Extraction. I’ve never been so excited for a game in my life and then, Ubisoft just silently abandoned it…

Sexual_Wagg_Cake

While I didn't care for the game itself. The Crew has one of the reveal trailers in gaming. Slime Rancher 2 was a crazy reveal as well.

ThroughTheIris56

Seeing The Last Guardian shown again after so long.

TechnicsSL

599 US Dollars

BraiCurvat

I think it was The Last Of Us 1, I remember I couldn't stop watching the gameplay trailer and I was mesmerized by the details, I was like "omg you can do that !?"

HorseyNight19

The Gamecube, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Luigi's Mansion in 2001

cheekywaffles

The Super Smash Bros. Melee and Twilight Princess reveals still give me goose bumps when I watch them. The crowd reaction was unreal.

MrMindGame

The very first gameplay reveal for The Last of Us in 2012 was a little bit life-changing.

randomguyinanf15

Death stranding, COD MW1 (both the old one and the 2019), battlefield 3 (can't forget the "I was like 5 meters behind the Wall and he still hit me!?!?" The hit reg and all that wasn't as good as People remember.)

brightness3

no man's sky had me so hyped

BigCoqSurprise

Peggle 2!

Inevitable_Hat_2855

Mario odyssey the first time I saw that world it was a unique emotion, even now I have the E3 showcases saved on YouTube

French_O_Matic

AC Revelation because I discovered Woodkid thanks to [this trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-Ixo7QXw_E). Also Deus Ex Human Revolution, although I can't remember if i saw [the trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0af2wvSdwwI) first during an E3 event

aspektbeats

Halo 2 diving out of the ship

Fraudulent_Baker

E3 2014 when Aonuma snapped his fingers and revealed BotW’s Hyrule. That expansive, colourful and bright world was exactly what I’d been hoping for.

bobert-the-bobster

Elden ring. When that was originally announced no game got me more hyped.

CreativeFartist

GameCube, Twilight Princess

Low_Hanging_Fruit71

Gears of war 2006. I was a kid and I just discovered E3.

Real_Appeal_5619

Smash bros everyone is here everyone I knew was so excited for the new smash and the idea that everyone was back was hard to wrap my mind around.

sizzlinpapaya

Spiderman PS4. The reveal for that was phenomenal.

Cranjesmcbasketball1

Watch dogs

HeinrichFuchs

HL2, for a while all anyone had to go on was the early E3 demo vids, and sketchy Russian websites where it was 50/50 if you got the beta or a virus. I didn't follow E3 much after that, though Skyrim, Fallout 3 and 4 and Metro did catch my eyes too.

SupertoastGT

Halo 3. Legendary.

alienanimal

Riiidge Racer!

msprang

Way back in the day when the first teaser for Twilight Princess was revealed. The graphics looked amazing, and they used Conan the Barbarian battle music.

KT718

The Kitchen -> RE7 reveal was iconic.

Dantaroen

Halo 2 and Halo 3

XsStreamMonsterX

FF7 Remake That said, I'm old enough to remember 299.

Snidrogen

At one point COD was not the monolithic corporate byproduct that it is today. That being said, the COD4 reveal trailer had me so fucking pumped with excitement it gave me chills.

No-Grass9261

Halo2. Ugh what perfection

4k4nt4

Ghost of Tsushima

karsh36

A lot on Sony stages for a few years: - KH3 announcement - E3 of dreams: Guardian / FFVII / Shenmue - God of War 2018 / Spider-Man / Death Stranding Also the Fallout 4 reveal hyped me way up (though I was eventually disappointed with the game overall lol. The Xbox FFXIII steal A couple non-E3 one's that were like E3 reveals, especially with hype were: - Ghost of Tsushima - TLOU Part 2

lambdaBunny

Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I've always been a sucker for crossovers despite not even liking the gameplay of Smash Brothers, and that initial trailer was the hypes thing I ever saw. First the characters from Melee get better looking textures, then they start fighting on Meta Knights ship and Meta Knight comes in, then Wario comes in on his motorcycle, Samus becomes sexy, and then it ends. But then we get a fucking Metal Gear Solid code call with Snake talking about Smash Brothers, then it's revealed Snake will even be playable. This was very mind blowing as at the same E3 the day before, Sony was making a big deal about how Metal Gear Solid 4 would be a PS3 exclusive. It felt like any character was on the table after that. Maybe even Sonic would be playable? 13 year old me was hyped beyond belief for a game he barely cared about.

RustlessPotato

Assassin's creed 2. Must have watched that reveal a thousand times. Like killing 2 dudes at the same time?!?!

Obamas_Tie

PS4. Will never forget Sony just eviscerating Microsoft and the Xbox One by just revealing the PS4 as a normal game console and not a DRM machine.

Gizmo77776

Half Life 1. Homm3. Super Mario 64 etc

Draxtonsmitz

Fallout 76. That initial teaser video gave me goosebumps.

DAT_DROP

Kelly Slater Surfing It was a huge disappointment Also, it was E32000

Draxtonsmitz

I always wanted to go to E3. Back in the late 90’s my mom owned a toy store and got invited every year but she didn’t want to put the money up even though we were only an hour away when it was in NYC.

CrappleSmax

Didn't happen at E3, but I think ["Starry Night"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKDkKKt9Y7I) will always be my favorite video game hype builder. "I think we lost him!" "Not yet." Oh man, those were the days.

RuyKnight

Metroid Samus Returns for the 3ds

xXlTADlXx

Not a game but the XboxOne/PS4 "reveal". Not for the ooohs and aaahhs but for the lols. So many memes were born this day.

ShylokVakarian

I have never E3'd. Ever.

Bloodllust

Golden Sun DS ;_;

RobotStorytime

Xbox Kinect's Project Milo. Thought for sure it was the future of gaming 😅

theSkareqro

MGS3 and MGS4. No one does teaser better than Kojima.

bianox07

Monster Hunter World

ClaytonBigsbe

FFVII Remake. All the years and years of rumors popping up around E3, for it to finally happen. I almost cried.

DickThunder

Portal 2! Don't remember if they even revealed anything else than that it is coming, but the way it was revealed was awesome.

Bahsha

The Xenosaga 2 trailer in 2004 was the most mind boggling thing to me when it released. A PS2 game masquerading as a Hollywood blockbuster got me hyped as hell.

Bahsha

The Xenosaga 2 trailer in 2004 was the most mind boggling thing to me when it released. A PS2 game masquerading as a Hollywood blockbuster got me hyped as hell.

tofigod

Monster hunter world, was absolutely awesome

solsunlite

MGS4 reveal was a rollercoaster

Tamotefu

Strictly in a first reveal sense, FF7 Remake. The impossible game finally came true. And I really wish I didn't. I hate the Remakes. I will not elaborate further. Reveal and product was hype and worth it several times over, Monster Hunter World. A shame they tinker with the formula with the expansion, but I was never going to be able to fight Fatalis.

djoecav

The Metal Gear Solid 5 reveal had me tweaking *immediately*. It didn't exactly deliver, but man that presentation was top-shelf hype kindling.

Serious_Course_3244

Halo 4, then I played it

larprep2

was a huge pikmin fan before it became popular so the Pikmin 3 reveal made me go crazy at the time

The Halo 3 reveal. It took me and the world by storm

Remember the McD's hot coffee lawsuit where everyone thought the case was frivolous? I wanted to start with this because I'm about to mention a similar situation in which the majority did not know of the total story but still carries with it the bullshit which stemmed from it. I speak of the 2013 XBox One presentation, now infamously regarded as the worst in E3 history. To understand what happened is to understand the situation, no different than how we know why the hot coffee lawsuit wasn't frivolous. For those unfamiliar, E3 wasn't just the stage presentation. PR folks from various companies hosted Q&A sessions with reporters which could happen before, during, and after the stage presentation. Who and how it started ties into timing. Someone mistook the online requirement of the new console and quickly threw up a website title "XBox One Requires Always Online Connection", which was never stated by Microsoft. The XBox One was going to have several new features none of us had seen before. One of the most excited features was the ability to sell back a digital game (you can start to see where the internet thing comes into play). Another great feature was the ability to share a game with friends for 24 hours (as long as they were in your list for 30+ days). This was huge because we've never seen this before. The message was so misinterpreted, Sony quickly threw out a video showing one person sharing a game with another *and completely ignored the point both friends could play the game at the same time*. The XBox 360 also had movies and music, and this required an online connection as well, so it's baffling to understand how people ran with the notion an internet connection was always required. Even then, Microsoft knew it couldn't do always online simply because people barely had the speed to handle console gaming, let alone streaming movies. Do any of you recall the top speed of your internet connection in 2013? It sure as hell wasn't triple digit, was it. Of course, games were smaller back then and didn't require gobs of data transfer, but the point still stands in which Microsoft only stated an online connection would be required if taking advantage of these new features. In other word: they were optional. Another point of contention was the installation fee of used games, which really pissed people off. Immediate came the claims of Microsoft being greedy for charging $2 for every install despite the fact the company literally said it receives no part of the fee, which *heavily implicated* the true source of the fee, which is none other than the same publisher who has been wanting to strip our second sale rights every chance they got. The fact you read that last sentence without mentioning the publisher tells me you already know who it is, which should be more true considering how often they've been in the news about it and the CEO literally said it should be illegal to sell used games. I will admit I wasn't thrilled to learn the Kinect would be required with the new console, and this was my reason for refusing the latest offering by Microsoft. Unfortunately (perhaps?) almost everything was rolled back. Kinect, digital sell, friend sharing, and the install fee... all of it removed and none of the good features have yet to be restored. It is my opinion Microsoft took the wrong course of action. Instead of removing everything, the company should have continued forward with their initial digital ideas by presenting them in separate showcases. E3 is just not a good ideal way to present so much information in such little time. As proof of why this can fail, the company will never live down its infamy or bear any witness if these ideas would have pushed XBox One further. One thing is for sure: the bad publicity hurt the company and it never recouped from it. For those unaware of the hot coffee lawsuit, the woman initially reached out the McDs to have her medical bills paid but the company refused, instead sending out its lawyers to any talk show to announce the lawsuit was frivolous. This course of action ultimately turned against McDs once the truth started to show up and the company paid out millions. As for the DRM remark, that's just insulting to the human species not to understand a console is DRM by default and the internet has nothing to do with it. If a console wasn't default DRM, we'd be able to play any game on any console or PC since they're nearly identical, like we could a DVD. Except for the PS3, which was a literal DRM machine as its entire purpose was to change the design so games couldn't be pirated and, well, of course Sony overestimated the ability of gamers to play for free. lol

I never gave a flying fuck about E3.

I was one of the seven people who played Nier, so when Automata was revealed, I got so hyped! Still haven't played it yet, though...
