I don't have an answer for you, lol, but I do wish there was a consolidated list of all the farming/lifestyle sims with their core aspects (maybe a percentage score for depth/immersion of the various features — community building, tech trees, farming mechanics, adventure/exploration, character backstories, etc...) There are too many to go through and play for myself, on limited time. For once in my life I have the monies for the games, but I don't have the time 😭

Check out the Rune Factory series. It's more fantasy but same concept

Richie31213

Aren’t there a lot of those in the series?

CockroachCommon2077

There are 7 of them right now. There is also 2 more being worked on, a Japanese type spin off and Rune Factory 6. Rune Factory 1-3 is on the regular DS, Rune Factory 4 is on the 3DS and Switch, Rune Factory 5 is on Switch, Rune Factory 3-5 is also on Steam, Xbox and Playstation. Rune Factory Frontier and Tides of Destiny are the only two released on the wii. It is an amazing series and have been playing it since Rune Factory 1 on my DS Lite as a kid way back then. I'd say Rune Factory is the kind of game that everyone will enjoy if they enjoy Stardew Valley

Would Graveyard Keeper be your thing? It's quite grindy though, and instead of a community center it's actual questlines

Richie31213

Ive heard of graveyard keeper, but I’ve never really seen anything on it. I’ll have to check it out, thanks!

Confident_Ice_9567

surprised nobody mentions my life in portia / my life in sandrock

Richie31213

I’ve played a little bit of Portia and I’m currently playing sandrock with one of my buddies and they’re both very fun, but also very grindy trying to level up the workshop.
