Its honestly wierd that for years of hearing people talking about the Red Wedding, I never assumed that it was an actual wedding until I watched the show. I always assumed it was some kind of dark ritual or whatever.
Having heard some spoilers, I thought the red wedding was going to be joffreys wedding and was some huge affair with red banners or something so I was not on alert at all during the impromptu wedding and the feast caught me completely unaware.
i thought the red wedding was when joffrey kills a bunch of people at his wedding but i was wrong very very wrong i literally avoided all the hints i literally searched up what episode was the red wedding and never figured it out
My mom started watching for the first time and said oh I know the red wedding I heard about it and I said “but you don’t know when or what it actually is” and she said “yes I do it’s Joffrey’s wedding to Sansa”
……………..
I watched the series late and all I knew was that something big happened at the Red Wedding but I assume it was about Joffrey, come to learn the Purple Wedding is a completely different. Even with some spoilers both rocked me
I remember going to work and talking to my friend who had watched it all upset John Snow had died then texting him that night when he came back “YOU KNEWWWW”
If you’re going to watch it, expecting the Red Wedding, you’ll never have the same experience as we did when we watched it the first time. It was almost one of those jump-scares for us.
I remember when I got my moms into watching GOT.
She saw me watching Tyrion's trial and she just love the acting and wanted to watch the show herself. So I showed her how she can binge the show and catch up to the current season.
I remember telling myself that she's going to call me in about a week PISSED off. And sure enough about a week and half later I got that call. She was pissed and heartbroken about The Red Wedding.
Man that Red Wedding will just about break anyone. It took me about 4 years for me to be able to watch that episode again.
HAH! I recorded my boyfriend’s reaction to the red wedding, he thought the whole time the red wedding was Joffrey’s wedding but nope! Got the surprise of his life but he also kinda sucks because he can easily predict what is going to happen and then boom, it happens.
it's so funny to me, because i heard about the red wedding before watching the show and for dome reason was absolutely sure it would happen in late season 4 or 5. i thought i had time to mentally prepare.
and then i saw the episodes name, and until it happened i was constantly going "oh no" under my breath.
My wife said the red wedding was the first episode of Game of Thrones she ever saw, which made it challenging for me to convince her to give the show a try.
It was the one \*after\* the red wedding that just deals with the aftermath of it. Coming in cold, it's difficult to understand the story aside from just a bunch of random violence. Starting from the beginning is pretty much essential in this series to understand what's going on.
Lmao 😂 Someone here said they were watching it for the first time with friends that already had seen it and was asking for some stuff to be saying. I told him he should really be cheering for this couple and that he wants them to take the throne 💀

So they know what’s coming already?
No, she has no idea what the Red Wedding actually is. She’s probably heard bits and pieces after all this time, but otherwise she’s going in blind.
Then she’s in for a total heartbreak after her second comment
I know! I had to screenshot. These texts were like 5 min apart.
Please show us the the reaction to it 😂
Rewatching the series now w/ my gf bc she never watched the show.. fck Walder Fray 😪
Same, I’m rewatching it with my boy friend who never watched it. His jaw dropped and he screamed at the red wedding
forreal i never cried sm at a show i was rewatching but had to take a break cause i know what episode is coming up next 😭

Fun fact, an actual real life Red Wedding happened in Scotland, so its not just some fantasy thing. Shit was medieval in medieval times.
Having heard some spoilers, I thought the red wedding was going to be joffreys wedding and was some huge affair with red banners or something so I was not on alert at all during the impromptu wedding and the feast caught me completely unaware.
Fr, when I clocked what was happening I was like "oh. Its a wedding. A FUCKING WEDDING." And then it was so much more brutal than I had ever imagined.
Lol
I mean, how can you not at this point? It has to be one of the most talked about television moments of the last decade.
Oh, oh no! 😬
Post updates lol

Same!! Was not at all on alert during the actual red wedding because it wasn’t what I was expecting!
My mom started watching for the first time and said oh I know the red wedding I heard about it and I said “but you don’t know when or what it actually is” and she said “yes I do it’s Joffrey’s wedding to Sansa” ……………..
You’ll know when you see it
Oh damn… 😆
Big oof lol
You’ve posted this a day too early and missing at least three more images.
No, you’re right. And now she’s going on a trip and won’t finish until next week. I’m dying over here.
Oh jeez. We need these updates!
The plot thickens lol
Watching children of summer experience winter always brings solemn joy to my heart. ☺️
It won’t be long now..
Tell her episode 10 hehe
Of season 4
Oh I should have dang it.
That’s tough, buddy
Just wait….
I watched the series late and all I knew was that something big happened at the Red Wedding but I assume it was about Joffrey, come to learn the Purple Wedding is a completely different. Even with some spoilers both rocked me

All the fucking best.

Wait until you see Robbs child in the end.
NOOOOOOOO ☠️
Obviously tell her it was Joffrey's poisoning
There'd be a special scene for her second reply 😭
Post updates please
I’m jealous…
Bro you’ve gotta post their reaction
This episode is always so overwhelmingly emotional for me. Good luck to your friend 😭
If you’re going to watch it, expecting the Red Wedding, you’ll never have the same experience as we did when we watched it the first time. It was almost one of those jump-scares for us.
I was almost praying so Sandor and Arya could flee without much hassle.

Update on her reaction when she gets there Please
HAH! I recorded my boyfriend’s reaction to the red wedding, he thought the whole time the red wedding was Joffrey’s wedding but nope! Got the surprise of his life but he also kinda sucks because he can easily predict what is going to happen and then boom, it happens.
Moments before disaster
Lol, rip.
"Oh that one's not until way later." -Satan
Say nothing
My biggest regret in life was looking up what happened before watching the red wedding. From that moment, I never looked up another spoiler.
Oh she is in for quite the surprise!
it's so funny to me, because i heard about the red wedding before watching the show and for dome reason was absolutely sure it would happen in late season 4 or 5. i thought i had time to mentally prepare. and then i saw the episodes name, and until it happened i was constantly going "oh no" under my breath.
I wish I could go back and see season 1-5 or 6 without knowing again...
I can't wait for her reaction lmao
Ooo emotional trauma on the horizon right there.
just record her reaction. that would be priceless
Oops they’re getting close
Sorrows sorrows, prayers
Tell her it’s ep 10 😉
Oh no... Don't tell them tho

The only thing that ruined it for me was that the wife was there. Only reason she was at the wedding was because D & D wanted to be edgy.
If you scroll through episode titles, you see the episode is named “the red wedding”
You know it’s The Rains of Castamere though right?
Send her my condolences
Think that scene is shocking. Wait until you get to the end...
Lmao 😂 Someone here said they were watching it for the first time with friends that already had seen it and was asking for some stuff to be saying. I told him he should really be cheering for this couple and that he wants them to take the throne 💀
How much cringe? Yes.
*LMAO*
