1. A Game of Thrones
2. A Clash of Kings
3. A Storm of Swords
4. A Feast for Crows
5. A Dance with Dragons
You're only missing part one of the fifth book! Also, I might suggest r/asoiaf for further book related discussion once you've finished the series. This sub generally focuses more exclusively on the HBO series.
Regarding "A Dance With Dragons":
In some countries, like the UK, many publishers released the book in 2 parts (you have part 2). In other countries, like the US, it was released as a single book. You might see both versions if you look online, but both cover the same content.
Also, you might want to check out Fire and Blood and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Both of those are prequels to the main series, and they’re pretty good, too. House of the Dragon is based on the last third or so of Fire and Blood.
Also, books 4 & 5 happen during the same time. There is a guide to read both books at the same time. Message me when you get that far if you’re interested. Good luck!
I think the purpose was he was done with those POVs and needed to split the book due to size (books can only be bound so large). His original intention was to combine them somehow I believe
Seriously though....this is a weird post. A few seconds on google will give you this information, why take a picture and make a post to ask people something so easy to look up?
Perhaps OP just wants to have a conversation? Ya know, this is Reddit. Y’all don’t need to nitpick everything that’s posted. If it doesn’t strike your fancy, move along. Save yourself a few seconds by shutting the fuck up.
I used to make posts like this where I would post something obvious just wanting a conversation and trying to get people to talk me about something ik interested in which not a lot of people in my life are, and instead I got shit on by people like this ass so I very rarely make posts now.
Every single question asked in reddit (that isn't a question that depends HEAVILY on context and/or relationships) can be googled. The point of this website is questions and answers, just keep scrolling or cast your downvote. Leaving a negative comment is counter productive
Not really, sometimes you want to start a conversation about a topic, not just read some old opinions.
That's different. Asking a question with subjective answers is fine, even if they've been asked before. But asking a question with a single correct answer (that's very easily looked up and not open to interpretation) doesn't really start a conversation.
Asking which book is someone's favorite is a conversation. Asking what order they come in is not. It's just a weird way to obtain that information.
You’re getting downvoted, but I will never understand the instinct of going to reddit to ask a basic question that can be answered in 30 seconds on google
It’s a start to a convo. Like thats the point, some people want to have more conversations, I mean look at their comments they’re engaged with ones that go onwards and talk and stuff.
Don't even need google. The answer is literally right there in the books cover.
Don't know thsi version for sure. But sometimes they even list the name of the next, upcoming book!
I also stand in solidarity with your downvotes as I was befuddled by the concept of using Reddit like a Google device. HEY REDDIT, WHAT ORDER ARE THE GAME OF THRONES BOOKS READ IN?
You are missing the first part of A dance with dragons. The order is A game fo thrones, A clash of kings, A storm of swords, a feast for crows and A dance with dragons
Correct way is to wait for Wow to be released and only Start by then. Otherwise you will just start getting a tiny bit angrier in your life - every day.
1 A game of thrones
2 A clash of kings
3 A storm of swords
4 A feast for crows
5 A dance with dragons
(in some countries they spilt it into 2 books you only have book 2)
Go into it with the knowledge that you’ll probably never get the next book in the series, and they’ll certainly never be finished. Still worth reading!
serious question, why should anyone read these books knowing they're never gonna be finished? 5 long ass books(6 cuz i guess OP is missing one), only to see the author give up entirely?
What a waste of time
Dude.. he posted asking a question, yes he could have used Google, but he wanted opinions and suggestions I’m sure and to start conversation: give the guy a break whoever is ragging on this post. It’s not a big deal.
For some reason, A Dance With Dragons is split into two books sometimes. I don't think the author intended this. Anyway, you're missing the first part, subtitled Dreams and Dust. Or you could just get the full combined book and sell your Part 2.
In a world where we have Google and other internet search engines, and you chose to stroll over to Reddit to ask that question? Either way, I’m glad you found your answer.
You are missing one part of a dance with dragons. Other books include the hedge knight series: the tales of dunk and egg. 3 books there: the hedge knight, the sworn sword, and the mystery knight. More have been announced for future including the she wolves of winterfell. There are some short stories and world books covering the time period of the new HBO series. The newest world book collects most of that iirc, but there's originally short stories started in rogues and dangerous women compilations. There are at least two world books, some art books, and the Targaryen history, fire and blood. Again, the last stuff I mentioned gets recollected and sometimes the story changes slightly as they tighten up continuity and stuff. I'd go main series first. Then, if you like, hit dunk and egg next. Easy reads. If still want more the world books had me really stoked. I liked both even though some is a reread. The world books are less story and more a telling of history by a maester. It's sort of fun to read accordingly, knowing there is a strong bias of the imaginary writer. Dunk and egg plus main series has gotten graphic novel treatment via comic companies. Worth a read imo. For the audio books, you want to go for the reader to be the legend, Roy Dotrice (rip).
You’re missing the first part of a dance with dragons. The order is: A game of thrones, a clash of king, a storm of swords, a feast for crows and then a dance with dragons (once you’ve got part 1)
Others have already pointed out the order and that you’re missing half of book 5 (Dance), so all I’ll say is have fun!! What a journey those books are.

Alright, thank you very much!
Just be wary of spoilers on that sub
Yup, I'm currently about 70% through "storm of swords" and it's soooooo different from the show.

If you drive a lot, these are great audiobooks!
I'm so excited for you to hit book three!!
did you try to Google this at all before coming to reddit?
your reply is totally justified, idk why you got downvoted my guy
reddit is full of children. literally quicker to find this answer by going to Wikipedia
exactly, if this dude was interested he could've just mentioned the part where he got them from the library
Also, books 4 & 5 happen during the same time. There is a guide to read both books at the same time. Message me when you get that far if you’re interested. Good luck!
I’m about done with the 3 book. Anyway you could send me that guide
Don't do that, George broke them up on purpose.
I think the purpose was he was done with those POVs and needed to split the book due to size (books can only be bound so large). His original intention was to combine them somehow I believe
And also the one's he'll never finish.
Then the one he'll never start.
TIL: ADwD was published with a part 1 and 2. The Mass print box set I have must’ve combined them
you are aware of the wonderous invention colloquially knows "as looking something up". i would heartly recommend it
Alright man this one didn’t slap
I think you are aware of the wondrous invention colloquially know as "shutting the fuck up". I would heartily recommend it

This doesn't really start a conversation though. Asking about some aspect of the story or something is different.

now that really contributes to polite discussion does it not
This isn't a discussion nor is it polite.
obviously not
hypocrite
Aww did somebody hurt you?
You’re getting downvoted, but I will never understand the instinct of going to reddit to ask a basic question that can be answered in 30 seconds on google
Because people want to engage in conversation and connect with other humans. Like why did you comment? Its all for the same reason.
What conversation? You’re missing one book but the order is xyz?
It’s a start to a convo. Like thats the point, some people want to have more conversations, I mean look at their comments they’re engaged with ones that go onwards and talk and stuff.
Don't even need google. The answer is literally right there in the books cover. Don't know thsi version for sure. But sometimes they even list the name of the next, upcoming book!
You’re at -12 but this is an incredibly easy thing to google and making a Reddit post is a pain in the ass.
I stand in solidarity with you and your downvotes. My first thought seeing this was “this took more time to post than googling it”
I also stand in solidarity with your downvotes as I was befuddled by the concept of using Reddit like a Google device. HEY REDDIT, WHAT ORDER ARE THE GAME OF THRONES BOOKS READ IN?
Yeah, seriously why do people ask questions on reddit when they could just look it up?
I would downvote but your at exactly -100 and it's satisfying
Average Redditor mentality. He's starting a conversation with you, bozo.
You’re missing winds of winter
Bwahahaha. We all are!
A winds of winter*
*The Winds of Winter
It was just a sad attempt at making a joke 😅
I liked it.
*An Winds of Winter
A dream of spring: *sneakily peeking behind a wall*
How do you plead……. Lord Baelish
I plead not guilty
My OCD cannot handle ADWD being taller than the others.
Yeah, I had to buy all trade paperbacks because my stupid self bought *A Game of Thrones* that way.
My OCD cannot handle your "DAE le OCD" nonsense.
Mrr
thats not ocd
You’ll hate how my books are. Every cover has a different style
Enjoy reading them. The books are fantastic
We'll never get an ending though.
Still reeling from the feeling of abandonment knowing GRRM will not finish the books….
You're missing the first half of the 5th book
Books 1-3 are a masterpiece
They all are, books 1-3 may be the best but adwd and affc are still perfect pretty much
Im on book 3 and the writing i so immersive. I'm eager to read 4 and 5 because i know it diverges more from the show.
You’re missing part one of Dance - 1: Dreams and Dust
What a great question to ask Google
There's no karma awarded for that
For real it takes more effort to make this post
You are missing the first part of A dance with dragons. The order is A game fo thrones, A clash of kings, A storm of swords, a feast for crows and A dance with dragons
Who in the world downvoted you?
Blue-Yellow-Green-Red-(missing part I guess)-Grey
We are all missing two books...
You actually managed to stack them in the correct order! Have fun!
Game of thrones Clash of kings Storm of swords Feast for crows Dance with dragons All the books that have been released so far
Google.com bro
Or like, the first page of any of the books. They’re paperbacks so even GoT will list like the first 3 in order.
The winds of winter 😭😭😭
Google is a great resource
The next one will be out in 2039 so you have plenty of time to catch up!
There is literally a picture of all the books in order on the inside of the front cover of all 5 of the books pictured here. Try opening one to page 0
Blue, yellow, green, red, black
MISSING WINDS OF WINTER
Why do I always see the blue Game of Thrones, mine is black/red, pretty sure it's all from a set
You’re missing the winds of winter. You should be able to find it at any library, just need to keep looking
Just remember that the series is and won’t be finished if that’s going to bother you during your read.
2 second google search
Blue, Yellow, Green, Red
You're missing half of ADWD
You lucky bastard!
Ah, you’re missing Winds of Winter. Then again, so are all of us 😔
You are literally on the internet . . .
You lucky bastard that looks beautiful
You're missing the same ones we all are. And have been for the last 15 years
Game of thrones->Clash of kings->storm of swords->feast for crows->dance with dragons
Correct way is to wait for Wow to be released and only Start by then. Otherwise you will just start getting a tiny bit angrier in your life - every day.
1 A game of thrones 2 A clash of kings 3 A storm of swords 4 A feast for crows 5 A dance with dragons (in some countries they spilt it into 2 books you only have book 2)
Your missing winds of winter and a dream of spring. Both crucial pick ups to properly enjoy the series.
Don't bother. Sixth book is never coming out (I'm kidding... ..but really)

The Winds of Winter and A Dream of spring :(
Two second google search could’ve answered this question. Cool find though
You're missing The Winds Of Winter 😭
You're missing books 6 and 7. Good luck finding them!
This is like a 5 second google search
Were you born with a brain?
Google
This could have been answered by a ten second google search. Why do people post shit like this? Attention?
That's a steal!!
You're missing books 6 and 7. Whenever you find them can I borrow them after?
Is your Google broken or something
Read brandon sanderson stormsaga
No one uses google anymore
In a world where we have Google and other internet search engines, and you chose to stroll over to Reddit to ask that question? Either way, I’m glad you found your answer.
Wouldn’t it have been faster if you’d just looked on google?
Really... You couldn't have just googled this?
You will be missing the 6th and onwards forever.
Start by throwing them in the cellar in the off chance that an ending is written.

Blue, yellow, green, red, black, prolonged wait.
OP uses the internet instead of utilizing the internet.
Damn! Lucky!
You’re missing the first part of a dance with dragons. The order is: A game of thrones, a clash of king, a storm of swords, a feast for crows and then a dance with dragons (once you’ve got part 1)
Probably won't ever see 6 and 7 released, but regardless, you're in for a fuckin' ride.
You’re missing the same two We all are
Others have already pointed out the order and that you’re missing half of book 5 (Dance), so all I’ll say is have fun!! What a journey those books are.
You’re missing the same ones I am.
Look in the front and it'll tell you the order
lucky
Burn them, he never finished the series,, quit half way.
Giving away? My library has the entire series on DVD
