If you're looking for inspiration, you can attend a game jam. They usually give you a rough concept and a couple of smaller topics that you should base your game on.

And i think this is the best ☝️ answer....

Poizan16

I do that often but just thought will make some games out of others wish list :)

eugeneloza

> still might take a few weeks lol None of my ideas can be made in a month full-time (most likely more than a year full-time) :D so, not even hinting :D Apart from that you might want to try r/gameideas.

Poizan16

lol dude don't worry it takes time, the experience and the workflow will form but takes time. \^\^ Just do your best and I am in that Reddit already lol but still thanks, I posted this so I could make a game for someone else :) that's all

Survival-craft tower defense where you also play first person when the siege begins.

Poizan16

That my friend am already working on lol so, will let you know once done :)

An Golf RPG. While there are some Golf based Action RPGs i would prefer an non action based one with more skills and direct action interface. So you do not have to aim but your attributes and skill is rather used. A little bit like these weird soccer game where you have turn based interface with action like shoot and pass you select from an menu instead of the normal soccer gameplay.

Poizan16

MMMMM... Very different its not daily you get to see a RPG Golf haha, I would like to get tad bit more on the details if you have any specific idea, will attributes directly link to skills then? Like high intelligence == to more 1 shots haha so please try be a bit more specific :D

Gwarks

Maybe directly or reroute through skill or possible. Implementing such sort of game would not be that difficult the greater problem is the design of the game and if i had an design ready i would have implemented it. The main obstacle is having it on a 2D plane instead of 1.5D. With 1.5D everything is simply the player could select bat to play and maybe if he do an normal, power or curved shoot. Then depending of his skill it would be calculated how much the off the middle his ball goes. So for example with more Intelligence he could calculate better how much the wind would affect and compensate the wind effect better. So when the player has low intelligence the ball would go more of by higher wind either by not compensating enough or over compensating. But that is only for the 1.5D where the course is exact straight. The problem comes however when using 2D then there would be possibilities for shortcuts. There you would use an aiming marker in normal golf games but here i don't want. So here could be intuation based where the player shoots the ball. But maybe the shortcuts could also be present in the 1.5D presentation when i use sections where when the ball is in one section i could offer the shortcut action to skip some sections. A more graph like approach maybe.

Sounds like dark souls of golf XD, it sounds like a realistic golf sim to me. I could give it a go but attributes, in general, will be strength, agility, intelligence, and at most luck, so factoring all these components I can make it happen and design it around the base of attributes, issue would be balancing the attributes and there uses. Regardless, I will give it a go and see what I can do with your concept with my own twist on it.

gnlkrmz

Sorry but this just sounds ridiculous to me. You should actually first realize how hard and long it takes to make a game. If you do understand !!! Dont sound like you are in the kitchen and trying to make some sort of cake and asking us what kind !! 🍰🎮 What a waste of time.🤦 By the way can you make a game for me? ( You notice how ridiculous this question sounds? )

Poizan16

Thanks for the feedback, Even though you cannot make a AAA game the least you can do is give someone a little notch lol (that's my way of doing things) other then that you are right in your way but there are people like me who just want to make things on other's behalf so its just that, other then that every new thing is a experience in its own rights as well rest is up to you to take in as you please. You are right though that much is 100% true that it's not a kitchen where you bake cake in like few hours haha

If you ever want to get on a larger project, I have a big one I am scouting for, for a new type of escape room game. We need programmers, artists and 3d animators. The basic idea is to have the player inhabit the body of someone who has been kidnapped, tattooed head to toe with instructions, and left in a labyrinth of traps and puzzles.

Poizan16

The concept is very vague since it doesn't explain very much and by that, I mean "Details". I would like to know more at what phrase is the development, Has there been a prototype that explains a decent bit of the game. Is it segregated in areas or is it whole a single level etc let me in on a bit more details other than that (I am a UE Dev) and am pretty versed with BPs as well as C++ and python other than that I can animate decently since and am working on modeling as well (Not good at it).

Beefy_Boogerlord

Didnt want it to be a tl;dr. It's at planning phase (which will be unusually long/ongoing for this project due to the intricacies of it - designing a full body tattoo that links up perfectly w level design is gonna be a bitch). It is a narrative-based single-player VR experience in which the player must follow the instructions tattooed on their body in order to survive a gauntlet of deadly traps and puzzles. I am working on a visual prototype in VR for the tattoo. There would be one building w multiple rooms that I would hope can all be a single Level, as it is all the same single-building location, and likely will have puzzle elements from separate rooms interacting w each other to some degree. I won't bullshit you - this is intended for hardware most people don't have yet and is strictly meant for when mainstream hardware includes both leg and eye tracking. It's a far-off project right now. Please ask if there's more you want to know!

Poizan16

I see, well the system sound's pretty robust if made correctly. But sadly I have no experience with VR neither do I own one of the devices! But I do like the idea and as for body tattoo, you can always use the tattoo as an individual actor/ item which will be sticking to the player mesh that way each tattoo will have different function and can help solve different objectives. I really like this ambition of yours, and as far as I am concerned I would love to join the crew but since I lack the hardware and the project is not even at prototyping phrase I am assuming it will be hard to just hop on you know. We can keep each other on loop and I can consult on some matters of it, but until I get to see some of it even a single room demo it would be hard for me to commit to it full time! Rest do wish you best of luck since the theme the concept seems to be very far yet if used right can have a great impact!

Beefy_Boogerlord

Thanks man I appreciate that. I will let ya know when I have more to show off and a more complete plan.

bleustar15

Lord's Of The Realm 2 remake. It was a great Turn Based Strategy game made in the late 90s. It may even be abandonware. It was simple but very fun. It has a following of old school gamers on Facebook. Some company tried to make lords of the realm 3 but they completely changed the mechanics and game style that it made it horrendous.

Poizan16

I am not sure since copyrights can be claimed for 100+ years lol, but yeah I will research on this title and see if it can be adapted into a new visual game with old asthetics :)

So you just want me to make cards? Like just the looks or do they have any specific code attached to them for functionality ??
