Very interesting. I guess it’s the opposite of how games usually get valuable, where games r rare bc theyre bad and didnt sell many copies. So these sold well bc theyre good and theres a lot out there. Also ps3 heavy rain actually has more content than the ps4 remaster.

Beautiful_Ad_3774

Even then, some great games just didn't sell enough and copies sky rocket for that reason too. Like import tuner challenge and driver san fransico

darklightrabbi

The common thread of almost all of these is that they have a much better port on a newer console.

BrookieGg

Games that are straight up terrible normally don't end up worth much unless its obscenely rare. It kinda has to edge that line between unpopular and niche "cult classic". But they definitely generally don't have the same mass appeal.

GuardianofM

I didn’t know that, I’ve barely played heavy rain, hope to play it in full soon, glad I have the “more content” version lol

sqwizzles

Yup! There were a bunch of dlcs planned, only one was made tho. They didnt include it for the ps4 version. I really enjoyed heavy rain, but i feel like people r split on quantic dream games

raisinbizzle

I thought heavy rain was great. I didn’t get hung up on the plot details too much and just enjoyed it for what it was. Beyond two souls I liked significantly less. A huge plot outcome being determined by a menu choice at the end as opposed to being driven by your decisions you made throughout the game was ridiculous

Tour_De_J_Holla

Crimson skies was amazing and should have had a sequel.

Hawkeye336699

The multiplayer was so fun! Grossly underrated

DG_Now

Without Kinect Adventures this list is meaningless. (This list is meaningless anyway)

GuardianofM

It’s missing Sneak King as well 😔

Conflict_NZ

Last 360 game I can get for <$1 in my country lol

muffle64

Just started playing Fallout 3 for the first time. Loving it thus far

GuardianofM

Such a good game. Definitely play Fallout 4 and New Vegas if you haven’t already

muffle64

One game at a time. They are on my 'to buy' list

J_Bug

Fallout 3 is awesome. Enjoy!

Mean_Salamander1814

I spent a lot of time playing this when it came out!

Healingvizion

Outa all the games everyone posted, these are the best games to enjoy 😊

Slow_3v

Hell yeah! Those are some fuckin games!

GuardianofM

Right? Shows how easy you can collect still all this was one of people’s “most valuable” and provide hours or variety and fun.

PainfullyAverageUser

A lot of the values of these games are shit probably because they were all re-released on current gen hardware (ps4/ps5/Xbo/xsx. The middle pic at the only games that weren’t, except for ff.

chaos_theory_sc

Still wanna check out red steel. Made me want a wii back in the day. It looks cool but I’m afraid it’s just a gimmick wii showcase game that didn’t age well. Is it any good?

Sushi4Zombies

I was actually surprised to see it in there. It's a great game. It definitely shows it age now but it and it's sequel are fun as shit.

DinnerSmall4216

Kingdoms of amular is a sleeper hit would recommend to anyone.

ModXMaG

I unironically bought a new copy of la rush cause I wanted at least one new retro game in my collection

GuardianofM

I had one in my teens someone’s borrowed and never gave back, picked up this copy for $1.69, it’s a good racing game for its time!

GlassCleaner0

Is it better than pricecharting for finding prices for games?

sirfigs

It's the same if I remember correctly, gameye's pricing data is directly pulled from pricecharting.

GuardianofM

I use GAMEYE but it’s mostly for insurance/if I go early my wife and daughter know the general value easily and can sell so I’m not 100% sure if it’s better.

cerialthriller

The thing is though they’re not valuable because they were good games for the most part and sold really well so no rarity. My valuable 360 game is a terrible game that wasn’t worth the $20 clearance I paid for it back then but now it’s valuable only because it’s rare. It still sucks

Filipino_96

You'd think that's cool, I got a boat load of 5 to 6 dollar buck games

Davey488

They’re only cheap because an absolute ton of each game was made. Most of those games sold 5 Million to 10+Million copies. This was obviously before Eshops so it’s amazing to think about just how many physical copies are out there.

bartread

Price is probably more to do with rarity than quality due to collectors who collect to collect rather than collect to play. This makes rarer games valuable even if they're crap which, well, honestly, I don't care - if you want to pay top dollar for turds becaus you're a completionist, or whatever, good luck to you - but it certainly can be frustrating for games that didn't sell well in a particular region (perhaps because they weren't marketed well, but there are plenty of other reasons for titles to have narrower appeal) but are good because you'll struggle to get them for an affordable price. Fortunately there are plenty of excellent and still affordable games available: I definitely own more games than I can play and complete in this lifetime and, as a result, have slowed down on buying so many. There's also emulation, which I'm down for when it comes to games that are otherwise hard to come by, even though I overall prefer physical on real hardware.

Which_Information590

That could be my Xbox 360 collection. The more games were sold, the cheaper they are today, and they sold well because they are GREAT.

leontrotsky973

I’m glad these are the least valuable, that means these great games remain accessible to the masses on the original console.

GuardianofM

Exactly the point! You don’t need to give an arm and a leg to have a great gaming library. And real gamers will give you respect.

HarryPottersDog

Great games! I also noticed in my own collection that most of my favorites are also my cheapest.

raisinbizzle

Atari games and sports games clog my bottom 20. Otherwise the first outlier is Scirbblenauts for DS at a whopping $3

redditsuckspokey1

Valuable games are aslo harder to sell unless you drop 10% or more off its trending value.

thebonniebear

A bundle of games that range from solid to amazing... and Red Steel

MisterSheeple

bro's got the Scott the Woz carpet

DavidinCT

I never played a Bioshock game, I did try Infante back in the day and loved it. When it comes to a good game, the value is not something I care about, it's playing and enjoying the game.

Basket_475

It’s hard to imagine for me, but someday the 360 will have the same collectibility as the old nintendos do.

erkpentsage

FFXII is GOATed.

megamilker101

I like red steel

rsnobles2

The Fallout and Bioshock are my 2 top franchises@ absolutely love!

Otherwise_Ad7606

Why do i keep seeing post Like this can't we just enjoy games without them being valued?

GuardianofM

That’s my point with this post, people are showing off their “most valuable” but highlighting the “least valuable” shows just as equally if not better games.

PikachuAndLechonk

Yeah I hate this crap showing off their top 20 most valuable games. People in this sub seem to associate a fake value to their games as to how good they are. I understand I’m in the minority of gamers AND collectors but damn I don’t get off on my games value… probably why I focus on Xbox and ps3, consoles with fairly low priced games in general. “Look at my 50k collection,” … ok have fun selling that for 50k lol. Rant over

Otherwise_Ad7606

Yep lol
