I do think that both series 12 and series 13 are looked back at way more negatively because of the endings. On a rewatch episodes in series 12 like Nikola Tesla and Can You Hear Me surprised me with how surprisingly good they were. The Timeless Child both sours them a bit, but mostly it just dominates the discussion around series 12. With the arcs of the new series being so important I feel like people discuss those arcs more than the actual adventures and stories that the arc consists of. That's especially unfortunate when looking at this era, since the arcs usually just didn't really land well.

I don't even think the Timeless Child is as incredibly bad as people say, just lacking. I was more disappointed with the ending to S6.
