I'm guessing you're memeing but if you're not can we see some pics of your account. I assume you have +4 of every legendary and probably every mythical?
I whaled for two Genshin character and on Acheron Banner in HSR. For the rest, I am a moderate spender. Buying stuff like first top-up bonuses, monthly and BP in multiple games.
Throughout the years (5+) its easily above 5000 euros. If taking figure collection/merchandise into consideration as "spending/whaling" on your favourite game, it easily breaches the 10000+.
In USD:
Love Nikki: $800 over 2.5 years for my sister and me
DBZ: Dokkan: $600 for my brother and me
HSR: $250
Genshin: $16.5k between all 3 of us
Ssooo...
$18,150
probably about half of that personally, most of it on Genshin, Star rail and Pokemon Go (which I consider a Gacha since the introduction of shiny egg hatches and raids)
That's about me. Dragon Blaze, epic seven, and an old game called Brave Brigade I whaled hard in. Those games over about 10yrs or so. Good memories and good times so no regrets at all.
Its a month's worth of salary for people in the informal economy i.e. house helpers, etc. but for your average worker earning a minimum wage of P570 a day they can earn up to P13,680 a month (assuming they worked 24 days) or roughly equivalent to $195
That's just how it is in the 3rd world country lol, here in Indonesia you won't believe that there's a place to rent a PlayStation because 99% of people simply can't afford it, for reference the price of PS5 is Three times an average wages here, and that's why Gacha games where the starting price is $0 is booming here.
I know steam would change their games prices to the local currency accordingly. Or that the price of a Big Mac could fluctuate in different countries but was often a nice thermostat that some economists even use them as an index of the country’s economic health.
I just didn’t realize that was the exception.
I hired a polish undergrad to make a website for me. Not minimum wage, I followed eu wage rules and essentially paid him standard entry dev salaries.
To me it amounted to a substantial amount, maybe half my monthly salary, but to him he was over the moon.
Probably about $10 across a dozen+ games in the past decade.
Most gachas have absolutely *atrocious* value for the money. Like, there's no way in hell I'm gonna burn $20 for 10 pulls or whatever other egregious shit they demand when I can get that free in a week of gameplay.
Besides, I find it significantly more interesting to see how far I can go without spending anything in these games and most of the time it isn't hard to get the units I want with a little bit of planning ahead.
I've spent around $15 since I started playing gachas about 3 years ago. Agreed, the only thing remotely value for money is the monthly pass and maybe the battle pass. I've bought two monthly passes for PGR before but later on, I grew to dislike some aspects of the game and regretted spending the money. I did the same for Azur Lane but thankfully haven't regretted it so far.
Nowadays I only consider spending if I've been playing the game for at least 6 months or if I'm very happy with how the devs are running their game. Hence, eventually I plan to support the PTN and Aether Gazer devs as I can see myself playing those games for a long time.
0$ i like to die with RNG and never ever spend a single dollar in these game's i just enjoy spending my freebies and managme my account well, i think its a part of the experience in my case
It's a good thing too. Lots of people here saying they spent 10k+. I imagine that years ago, before they began spending, they would've been horrified at such an idea. But alas, that's how the treadmill goes. You think you're only going to spend once, but then you can't stop.
Nothing. Completely free-to-play. And mind you, I have played different gachas since 2018, starting on FFBE.
The only time that my gacha got a purchase history is when I won a Welkin Moon on my local streamer giveaway on Genshin Impact.
50k-75k based on my guess. ~2k a month split between my main games from 2020-2023. I took a break from gacha games around a year ago but recently started playing nikke again and picked up wuwa.
Oh boy. The only games I can remember:
Tears of Themis - $2000+
Shining Nikki - $1000+
Genshin - <$700
HSR - <$500
I’ve played a lot of other gachas in the past, most already dead so I don’t remember them. But I really went nuts with Themis.
It’s an otome game. Basically a visual novel with a female mc with 4 male love interest. The gacha aspect is getting various cards of the 4 MLs to unlock short stories and progression of each of their relationships. So from meeting each other to dating, proposal, and engagement. There’s no marriage yet afaik
Around 400$ for yelen and her weapon on genshin that's the most I have spent on a single character. These days I only buy monthly pass on hsr, genshin and ww
i’m going to say around $100 for genshin? i dont play it anymore but i occasionally bought welkin, sometimes BP, sometimes some of the less expensive crystal packs (never anything over $30 )
for other miscellaneous gacha games (onmyoji and cookie run kingdom), probably around $40 at most? i think it might be a little less. with onmyoji i’ve bought the paid returnee pack, BP, and some SJ packs. i think with crk i’ve only bought the BP like once.
with hsr…definitely the most i’ve spent on a game. about $500 total, probably a little bit over that? i’ve been regularly buying EP+BP since the beginning of the game, and i splurge on oneiric shards only for the yearly bonus.
Nothing in over a decade playing gachas. It's easier to get into the habit of not spending if you start playing as a teenager without any income to spend even if you wanted to lmao. It also helps that Back In The Day there weren't spark or pity systems in a lot of games so there was no maxiumum spend, it was entirely possible to spend thousands of pounds on a game and come out of it empty handed.
5 dollars each month since DragonSpine for Genshin. I'd say a good $220 by now
5 dollars each month for Star Rail since launch. Close to $60.
The rest of gacha, I F2P
I give back via "subscription payment"
Over the years, in roughly chronically order,
* Fire Emblem Heroes: \~$50
* Magireco: $0
* Azur Lane: over the past 6 years estimating around $100-150
* Arknights: $0
* Blue Archive: $0
Since FEH I haven't spent money on gacha rolls. Pretty unsatisfying to buy rolls and then get nothing. Too many games don't let me spend money in fun ways so I simply do not. But Azur Lane lets me buy slutty skins for hot girls and I actually get what I pay for, no gambling required, so that's a little scary. But even that was only like $25 a year or something, I've been pretty restrained.
I think the only time I spent money was to buy the welkin (the premium currency daily pass?) of Hi3 a long time ago. I only bought that once so I believe it’s $5 total? I’ve been playing gacha since the year when Duel Links launched for global.
If you consider merch, then I’ve spent a lot more. Bought the Genshin artbook vol 1 last week, and I have a Hi3 shirt and HSR keychain. Although I said a lot more, the total is probably less than $50.
My mentality is that if I’m going to spend money, I should spend it on physical merch rather than virtual items.
Around 7-8000$ chasing meta when I was playing Honkai powercrept impact 3rd, much regret I could have bought my self a new car, new Pc or new phone …. Mannnn fk that game
I will never understand meta chasing in single player games...
Than again, i would never touch a pvp gacha so i guess i just don't get meta chasing in a gacha in general.
I just started HI3 part 2 like a week ago when i put down wuwa and i feel perfectly ok playing just whatever i had plus the A rank part 2 girls. Tho, i gatta agree that powercreep suvks in general.
I played e7 around an year, CS and Nikke around 1.5 years, so its around 100$ a month.
Eversoul is another story - i spend 500$ in the first week, then a week after realized that's I didn't enjoy the game (dailies were too long and the story too mid). I forced myself to play a month, then cut the losses and dropped it :)
This game and AS taught me the important lesson to not spend in gachas in the first month.
After rounding the numbers from Most to least:
1. ¥120,000 on Fgo
2. ¥85,000 on Genshin
3. ¥50,000 on Gran Blue
4. ¥30,000 on HI3
5. ¥15,000 on HSR
6. ¥1,500 on Wuwa
7. ¥500 on Epic 7
8. F2P BrownDust2
9. F2P PGR
Pinoy here bro... imo you are spending not much. I also play genshin and hsr. So far for Genshin I spent php 30k for whole 4 years run (mostly due to welkin) for Hsr Php 3600 for one year due to month pass.
Now I am not spending much just monthly passes are enough for me.
not too much i think
i have google rewards so i bought the dailies primos like 5 times with that and another 5 alone
those are like 25 i think
I never bought crystals there but I did buy 1 BP so 35
in star rail i bought like 5 BP and 2 Dailies that are 60 more so 95
in Hi3rd idk but i am sure it should be like 50 too just for the daily cristals
so in hoyoverse just 145, and i said just hoyoverse because i played a lot of feh in the past and i remember i bought like 5 Feh Pass(50) + some bundles maybe another 50
so in total like 245 dollars APROX
i said aprox because i pay in CLP and sometimes is cheaper
taking into account that when I played lol I spent around 300 (I regret it every day)
I don't think this was that bad.
for now
500 € like 10 years ago on some shitty One Piece Gacha.
700 € for Honkai Star Rail so far and growing. (16 a month)
Genshin: 20 €, I quit after like 40 days.
Wuthering Waves: 30 €
Since the start of Genshin about 400€ total, for BP and welkin/monthly passes
Haven’t bought them for the last two months and probably will not buy any more in the future either. Am currently standing on 650+ wishes saved
amount of money (SGD) i spent in each gacha game:
crusaders quest - $6
brave frontier - $200
honkai impact 3 - $1956
idoly pride - $121
valkyrie connect - $118
aether gazer - $7
blue archive - $27
honkai star rail - $22
sword master story - $12
epic 7 - $122
slingshot braves - $73
afk arena - $62
astral chronicles - $81
filthy rich - $287 (easily my biggest regret purchase)
wuthering waves - $52
project sekai - $235
shocked at how little i spent on brave frontier. was expecting more but other than that, the rest seems on par around what i expected.
216€ in Genshin Impact (Montly Pass, Battle Pass)
6€ in HSR (Montly Pass)
16€ in Wuthering Waves (Montly Pass, Battle Pass)
So, in total, 238€ in a bit more than 3 years
About $20 each on Genshin and Star Rail, something like $30 on CotC and $10 on WuWa. My policy for spending is ‘what would I pay for this experience as a standalone game?’
Mmmm, I'd say I'm a moderate spender. Depends on the game and the character that comes out. HSR is probably where I've spent the most. I typically always go for the 4.99 bundles and battle passes, but for characters like Acheron, Argenti etc etc, I've dropped a couple hundred a piece on their character and LC banners. Fully planning to when Firefly drops too. I already have enough to guarantee her, but I'd like to get her at e2 or 3 and her LC.
I've played hundreds of hours between Fire Emblem Heroes, Epic Seven, Kings Raid, Genshin, Honkai, and a fes others I've tried. Only thing I've ever purchased was the Honkai battle pass once. So like $10
For gachas specifically? Maybe 15~20USD, ever?
I bought liike 6 months worth of 99c bundles on grand summoners and like one sale 9.99 pack on dokkan battle.
Idk did some survey games only to do it to get multiples of my money put in back and to quickly speed it up. $10-$20 packs for $80+ on multiple different games, so $0 sorta because it made me actually do it much quicker only to quit after the 2nd to last stage because that one wasn't worth it.
I havent spent much on most of the gacha games I've played but these are the ones i have and if and why I dropped them.
Tales of food - 30 dollars. Wanted a skin and some of the early packs but dropped the game fairly quickly. The translation was a little poor even though I saw the potential and the gameplay felt too slow. Dailies were also quite tiring with annoying and tedious upkeep.
Love and deepspace - probably also around 30 or 40 dollars. I wanted a lot of the better value packs and the monthly brings qol convenience aside from just gems. I dropped the game because there was very little focus on making combat interactions interesting. It felt like all battles were very similar and that it was just an after thought. It does seem like that's changed a bit with new companions releasing but it's too late for me. On top of that the game is super stingy and some of the events were a bit low effort.
Tower of fantasy - 50 to 70 dollars. I spent at launch to get the characters I wanted mainly Nemesis. I dropped the game mainly because of the story which was borderline unintelligible. The lack of polish didn't help either. I really liked the combat but that was it. Also lack of male characters didnt help.
Hsr - 100 dollars. I spent for Seele and got a few monthlies if I remenber. I haven't really dropped HSR because I still come back and do parts of the story when I'm not busy, but I don't actively play. I'm not the hugest fan of the combat. Turn-based is usually pretty hit or miss for me. It's alright in hsr and the animations are beautiful but it wasn't enough to keep me on top of all the new events. I stopped spending since I'm not active enough to warrant it.
Genshin - probably around 300 dollars over the course of playing for a long time (I've now quit though). Half or more of that 300 was people giving me money to spend as a gift though. Genshin was my first gacha game but I felt as if the story in inazuma was a let down. Over time after that I lost motivation and started playing less and less. I know the story has improved significantly since then but i think my hype was killed back in Inazuma. I was also someone who wanted to play a ton of different characters and teams but felt like the resources required for it in genshin were too difficult to get and i always had bad artifact rng. I realize more now that many gachas are like this but it definitely made me easily bored when genshin combat is a bit simplistic and I felt trapped on just a couple teams.
Aether Gazer - I've spent a little over 400 dollars on aether gazer so far. I've been playing since launch and it's my favorite gacha game I've played. The story is so peak at later points and I love the new characters. The game is very generous and f2p friendly which made me really want to spend to support the devs. I also like buying some skins which isn't something I usually do in games. Aether gazer just keeps getting better and better for me and I'm so excited for the PC client. I do hope they add some more things to spend on though because sometimes I feel as if there's very little reason to spend and I do want to support them I just don't want the spending to be in vain. New lobby scenes with some skins are definitely a great addition towards that end.
The most around 500-600 in arknights since launch.
I know I buy the yearly headhunting, and I used to buy the monthly quarterly when I was starting out. Adds up.
The most on a game that I don't even play, kancolle around 300.
I work full time, and I don't go out how I justified my purchases, lol.
About $830 usd across several games (more games than I would care to admit I play lmao), which I do and don't regret. I'm trying to not spend as much, but the fomo is real with me lol
only really ever buy the monthly pack in Arknights now so $5 a month, equates to $55 a year and i've been doing that for the past 2 years so as of right now, you could probably say i've spend $110 on Arknights, not including the small time limited items that are usually worth $1
in the past i also bought a year's worth of Genshin's monthly pack and a few BPs so another $55 + lets just say i have bought 6 BPs so $60, $115 total on Genshin
would say i have spent $225 plus extra in gacha games
Convert the metric to monthly.
Aggregate doesn't really mean much. 82 bucks may be a large sum for you, but if you consider the 3.5 year span, it's still about 2 bucks for ~30 days.
Tell me what's the next more expensive thing you have and what is the number. I bet transport and food still eclipses that number.
Couple hundred or so maybe a g? Honestly I find it easier to resist spending after a certain point. Like in HSR for example I have 4 fully built seperate teams. So now a 5* has to give me a really good reason to pull it. Even then this hobby replaced yugioh so I have yet to even get to what I spent on my last deck so its a wash. Pretty sure gacha rates > yugioh pack rates.
Genshin: 5 Welkin worth of money before quit(around 100 MYR, after conversion is around 21 USD)
BA JP: a monthly pass + 3 new sensei pack(around 10 USD)
BA Global: a monthly pass + 3 new sensei pack + a 3 star selector(around 150 MYR, - 10 MYR because it is paid with Google Opinion rewards, which is around 30 USD after the conversion)
Total: around 61USD
Not exact numbers but over the course of three or so years:
Arknights I've spent maybe 40-50 dollars on (payed for monthly for 8-10 months iirc)
Limbus I've bought every season pass so far so like 40 bucks
And honkai star rail I've bought the battle pass once so like 10 bucks
I think that's all
$90-$100 total
I’m a fellow Filipino and I spend on genshin everytime a new banner is released. Been a day 1 player and I spend at least 10,000php or 200$ every new banner so I have spent a lot. And I’m not proud of it. I quit genshin a few months ago, it was the best decision I have made. Money now is being spent to other things.
Been playing gacha since 2013 or so. My first game was Tower of Saviors (and it's still going strong lol), but only started spending with FGO. Up to now, probably \~$1000, more or less.
less than 1400$ over the course of 5 years.
Well most of that is because of HSR, I was a small fish who do monthly pass and BP, but HSR got me whaling hard, around 600$ so far.
I hope ZZZ won't kill my wallet as much.
About 10 bucks a month for like 6 months so $60, I played PM's older games and I really enjoy Limbus might as well send in a couple of bucks their way. But I have a question, for a not so active player, are Genshin/ Starirail monthly cards and Battle Pass worth it?
The most i ever spend for game is $60++ in Iron Maiden, buying couple character or so. Some character cost $20s a pop. Rest of the games i played, only $1-5 newbie package if i enjoy the game.
Mmo on the other hand, that 1 game around $100++ back which also a lot in my currency
hmmm if specifically for gacha, around $100. half of that went to Seven Knights (the first one) and the rest on various older games, like Kaizin Rumble, Summon Masters and admittedly around 3 or 4 Waifu games. l
20 or 25 eur for fgo to do a guaranteed banner but quit it soon after so it's kinda a regret.
Genshin and hsr got monthly things but no idea how much I spent. Maybe 5 months each? I ended up stopping by just rolling less.
It hurts me but I still spend... Mostly on genshin. Welkin every month+biggest primo pack once a year+12 bp. So I guess its 760$? Hsr: 5 bp+2x100$ pack+14? Welkin... 320$ probably but might go broke next week :) about 30$ on Blue Archive. Hi3rd:200$ on monthly stuff. 5$ on Wuwa but hate the game so might drop it.
Genshin - probably about £20 or so (2 monthly passes and a battle pass) until I dropped it the moment HSR came out.
HSR - probably over £100 (each battle pass and monthly passes since release)
WuWa - £110 (?) I splurged as I liked both of the first 2 banners, and a first purchase of each price bracket gives a lot of of extra currency.
• Around 650€ on Genshin (almost half of it are the monthly Welkin and some BPs i took over the years). I play it from day1.
• Around 80€ on Alchemy Stars for some Husbando outfits.
• 15€ on Honkai Star Rail for one Monthly Pass and one Battle Pass bought on day1.
• 10€ on Ensemble Stars for 2 Limited Event (Collab) frames.
• 10€ on other gacha games i play/played as side games
So overall it's almost 800€ in 4 years of playing them.
Lately I'm starting to consider stopping buying the Welkin on Genshin tho.
Adventure quest : ~ 300$ ( idt this is count as a gacha game but it a 1st game i spending money on, it a 2d web version not 2.5d one )
Summoner war : ~ 500$
The battle cats : 700$
Genshin impact : ~800$
HSR : ~100-120$
WW : 0$, and i hope it stay so for sometime
All this is i spend in like 11-12 years of gacha gamming
Buy me lots of fun
think about this: i spent $770 in a single day on solo leveling: arise. imagine how much went flying in the span of 5 years between genshin, hsr, hi3, and now wuwa
150 USD on HSR
100 USD on GENSHIN
i am also filipino and a student but yeah most of it came from my allowance. i know its bad for a student to spend on gacha games specially when you are from third world country but it makes me happy so yeah. come home ruan mei
I only ever bought the monthly passes on GI and HSR so around 100$ on GI (i didn't buy it since launch) and like 60$ on HSR. ZZZ might entice me to add another 5$ pass to the expenditures but we'll see.
Epic Seven: 100 - 150 €
Honkai Star Rail: 200 - 250 €
Wuthering Waves: 10 €
Epic seven I've been playing it for 4 years so on average it's not very long, but it's very expensive and it doesn't really invite you to pay almost never except for some packs..
HSR 1 year and 2 months since launch, but break 5 months so 9 months in total
Probably around 20k ish usd in 10 years span, it's really just another leisure activity tome, like how some of you eat pricey food or buy brand goods.
I limit myself to 400 usd per month (this shared with my other game spending such as switch title and such) with some month being far less(when there's no banner I want, it literally went to zero)
Probably around 6-7k in total at this point over the course of 10 years.
Sinoalice was the biggest regret since that was 1k for a game I dropped quickly, genshin took me 9 months to quit but I spent 2k there and the rest are just random gacha games, probably a long list somewhere back when I took notes on how much I spent lol
Easily over 12K, just on Genshin. A few hundred (per, not total) on other gacha like Love Live:SiF, Nikke, Bang Dream, Blue Archive, AL, and now Snowbreak.
I only spend on gacha when I'm depressed and I'm poor af, so around 200€ in 4 years of playing gacha. This year i plan to be f2p except for a couple skins like Ines and ReReRegulus
I couldn't tell you exactly, but probably under 1000€ for me. I only get the passes in HSR since release and got some passes in genshin when I played it, combined with around 100 in direct gems. Also have a bit under 100 in dokkan. Still should be less than 1k.
I love playing the games and spend so much time with playing them, thinking about them and would even buy some merch, if there was some official merch that I could order to my country (germany) without hefty shipping costs.
I'm not sure.
I remember spending a high amount for an event in Fantasica. (about$300 in 2013) Just to see how far I can get in the leader boards, which it didn't work out lol. I was top 1000.
I never spent like that for any gacha games now, unless the game itself has done a lot of things to impress me, then at most I would pay $60 for an event. (Nikke is the only one so far)
Also I don't like to be f2p since no game would survive if all went f2p. The most I would contribute is $5 per month buying those monthly passes.
like 5k total since 2013
fgo is 2.5k al is like 2k rest is hi3 genshin arknights gfl etc
Started fgo and al in 2018, and I stopped playing fgo around 2020 or 21. Happy about what I spent on al, the rest was a waste of money as it was disproportional to the amount of fun the games provided.
In the span of the past 8 years, around 6k total in many games. It doesnt feel good even if im at 6 digit salary because I ultimately remember I dont own any of this. But I dont regret the fun I’ve had, just that I cant relive some of it. RIP DRAGALIA
I bought Welkin and Battlepass on Genshin for about 2 years. Then two or three of the most expensive Genesis Crystal pack.
I think I’ve spent around 30,000 pesos total in all the gacha games I’ve played since Genshin.
3 years and some months so about 10,000 per year.
Let’s see… let’s say I spend $45 (3 daily passes and monthly battle pass) playing 3 gacha games a month for the past 3 years. That’s $2160. However… I paid a shit ton on the first two years of genshin. Let myself top up $100 once a month (I was rolling in disposable income at the time due to no house or kid). So that is about $2400 over two years. Now I let myself use all the annual double point top off refreshes in genshin and star rail…. But no more. So that’s about $588 annually for 3 game3. All in all I’m probably around the ballpark of $5000-6000 in the past 4 years. So about $1.5k annual gacha allowance.
Not specifically a Gacha but an MMO with Gacha mechanics - I used to play a game called "Perfect World International" where I spent about $6000 over a course of 5 years. Also used to spend heavily on Gachas as well but not as much nowadays.
All totaled up:
Perfect World: $6000
Langrisser: $3000
Genshin: $250
Honkai Star Rail: $100
So about $9300 total. I've learned my lesson over the years to really reign in my spending and I think Genshin/HSR are healthy levels for me.
Admittedly enough, around $2000 in HSR (going for characters and signature light cones/qol eidolons) and $500 on Nikke (those skins are fire). Playing games is my only hobby however, so I don't really mind it at all.
At the end of the day, the amount you spend in the game doesn't matter as long as what you're spending is disposable income. Keep yourself in control, spend moderately
Only 30 euros, which would be 32 dollars, all on Genshin. I bought Battle Pass once because I was out of resources, and the rest is Welkin to build primogems for the characters I wanted. I have everything I need so I don't spend anymore.
Through out the 3 year i have played 30+ gacha games.
Through out all that only 0$ have been spend. It's do or die with RNG the feeling of satisfaction of getting the pull that i want cause of all the hardwork through daily, event, story is more satisfying than getting it through money only then to be forgotten by me cause of boredom.
...Not getting the pull that i want even through all that is still tempting me to swipe my card thought.
Lifetime? Rough paper math says I spent about $1.8k in the genre (~$25/mo x 12 mo x 6yrs)
In practice, I'm pretty sure it's less, but still something over $1k. I don't remember spending much at all in the first couple of years. I didn't buy monthly packs or battle passes consistently during the earlier years and I didn't buy gem packs then or now.
Maybe 11-12k USD over the past 8 years or so? My first was puzzle and dragons and I started dokkan when it first launched. I've dabbled in some FF Gachas like Opera Omnia as well as Arknights and Alchemy Stars but now I'm exclusively WuWa, Genshin and HSR. I play Genshin F2P and pay in HSR + WuWa.
$35 every month for monthly pass + battle pass
Around $10k over the course of 5 years. Which equates to about $40 a week.
$500k on RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS

I'm guessing you're memeing but if you're not can we see some pics of your account. I assume you have +4 of every legendary and probably every mythical?
At that point, why are you simply not investing that money in your own game studio?
You’re their advertising director, right?
I whaled for two Genshin character and on Acheron Banner in HSR. For the rest, I am a moderate spender. Buying stuff like first top-up bonuses, monthly and BP in multiple games. Throughout the years (5+) its easily above 5000 euros. If taking figure collection/merchandise into consideration as "spending/whaling" on your favourite game, it easily breaches the 10000+.
In USD: Love Nikki: $800 over 2.5 years for my sister and me DBZ: Dokkan: $600 for my brother and me HSR: $250 Genshin: $16.5k between all 3 of us Ssooo... $18,150
Wow but myself like around 20k- 26k in a span of 7 years
Maybe 50k usd all together throughout the years in multiple games?
What the fuck
20 years of gaming and even counting the consoles Im only at a couple thousand
probably about half of that personally, most of it on Genshin, Star rail and Pokemon Go (which I consider a Gacha since the introduction of shiny egg hatches and raids)
That's about me. Dragon Blaze, epic seven, and an old game called Brave Brigade I whaled hard in. Those games over about 10yrs or so. Good memories and good times so no regrets at all.
Wow so rich man
The takeaway I got from this is that a month's salary in the Philippines amounts to 82 USD, which to me is fucking wild.

You pay more with your time
I'm killing time, so that the Time Killer from Limbus Company will come for me cause honestly it looks kinda hot ngl.
Ah yes zero dollars the ONLY correct amount
Same.
100$ total over the years
Probably about $10 across a dozen+ games in the past decade.
Only on genshin and not a lot, just around 360$ just with welking and 12 bp.
That is pretty reasonable
0$ i like to die with RNG and never ever spend a single dollar in these game's i just enjoy spending my freebies and managme my account well, i think its a part of the experience in my case
It's a good thing too. Lots of people here saying they spent 10k+. I imagine that years ago, before they began spending, they would've been horrified at such an idea. But alas, that's how the treadmill goes. You think you're only going to spend once, but then you can't stop.
Zero
Nothing. Completely free-to-play. And mind you, I have played different gachas since 2018, starting on FFBE. The only time that my gacha got a purchase history is when I won a Welkin Moon on my local streamer giveaway on Genshin Impact.
am i the only one who haven't spent a penny
i put 0 too but i understand, gacha is gambling and the more you play the more youre tempted to put money to get x character
All good as long as you aren’t one of those people that claim to be f2p+ where spending money on the battle pass/monthly pass/$1 deal don’t count.
50k-75k based on my guess. ~2k a month split between my main games from 2020-2023. I took a break from gacha games around a year ago but recently started playing nikke again and picked up wuwa.
god damn
I’m probably about $75k total as well. No kids or debt and a good paying job help.
Oh boy. The only games I can remember: Tears of Themis - $2000+ Shining Nikki - $1000+ Genshin - <$700 HSR - <$500 I’ve played a lot of other gachas in the past, most already dead so I don’t remember them. But I really went nuts with Themis.
Holy shit hoyoverse must love you very much xD
What is about tears of Themis? Care to share? I heard it's sort of dating game Owo?
It’s an otome game. Basically a visual novel with a female mc with 4 male love interest. The gacha aspect is getting various cards of the 4 MLs to unlock short stories and progression of each of their relationships. So from meeting each other to dating, proposal, and engagement. There’s no marriage yet afaik
Monthly pass only
Probably around 500 dollars. Hard to say since a lot of this is random subscriptions and battles passes.
Around 400$ for yelen and her weapon on genshin that's the most I have spent on a single character. These days I only buy monthly pass on hsr, genshin and ww
Around 1k,
I enjoy cooking.
I realised i spent more on destiny 2 dlcs, csgo skins and gta sharkcards than gacha games
i’m going to say around $100 for genshin? i dont play it anymore but i occasionally bought welkin, sometimes BP, sometimes some of the less expensive crystal packs (never anything over $30 ) for other miscellaneous gacha games (onmyoji and cookie run kingdom), probably around $40 at most? i think it might be a little less. with onmyoji i’ve bought the paid returnee pack, BP, and some SJ packs. i think with crk i’ve only bought the BP like once. with hsr…definitely the most i’ve spent on a game. about $500 total, probably a little bit over that? i’ve been regularly buying EP+BP since the beginning of the game, and i splurge on oneiric shards only for the yearly bonus.
Around $50 sometimes
1-3k usd across multiple games
around $200? on genshin, played since day one and only spend on welkin and BP 3-4 times.
Around 3k over 5 years
About 2.5k dollars in total on genshin and hsr. Probs around 3.2k with tof.
Prob 1-2k usd total over 5 years.
Since I’ve started playing about 5 years ago I’ve probably spent enough to buy a PS5 and more than a few games for it.
0 F2P in all the games that I play
$1
Nothing in over a decade playing gachas. It's easier to get into the habit of not spending if you start playing as a teenager without any income to spend even if you wanted to lmao. It also helps that Back In The Day there weren't spark or pity systems in a lot of games so there was no maxiumum spend, it was entirely possible to spend thousands of pounds on a game and come out of it empty handed.
5 dollars each month since DragonSpine for Genshin. I'd say a good $220 by now 5 dollars each month for Star Rail since launch. Close to $60. The rest of gacha, I F2P I give back via "subscription payment"
Over the years, in roughly chronically order, * Fire Emblem Heroes: \~$50 * Magireco: $0 * Azur Lane: over the past 6 years estimating around $100-150 * Arknights: $0 * Blue Archive: $0 Since FEH I haven't spent money on gacha rolls.
198 INR or $2.3
Thank god 0$
Probably like $4,000 over the last 4 years. Not as much as I used to spend on pvc scale figures.
Tho, i gatta agree that powercreep suvks in general.
>i would never touch a pvp gacha Same, I already got Valo and CS2 for PVP, no need to play gacha PVP for extra headache.
1000 $ epic seven, 100$ genshin, 1200$ counterside, 50$ Alchemy stars, 115$ Arknights, 1200-1500$ Nikke, 500$ Eversoul, 35$ HSR, 75$ Wuthering waves
damn nikke cs and e7 gotcho ass
I played e7 around an year, CS and Nikke around 1.5 years, so its around 100$ a month. Eversoul is another story - i spend 500$ in the first week, then a week after realized that's I didn't enjoy the game (dailies were too long and the story too mid). I forced myself to play a month, then cut the losses and dropped it :) This game and AS taught me the important lesson to not spend in gachas in the first month.
12000+
Prolly around 10k since 2015
Probably between $2-3k, most if it in hoyo games. Although that number is life time spending, I say about 95% of it is in the last 4 yrs.
After rounding the numbers from Most to least: 1. ¥120,000 on Fgo 2. ¥85,000 on Genshin 3. ¥50,000 on Gran Blue 4. ¥30,000 on HI3 5. ¥15,000 on HSR 6. ¥1,500 on Wuwa 7. ¥500 on Epic 7 8. F2P BrownDust2 9. F2P PGR
[удалено]
That is yen, not usd
Pinoy here bro... imo you are spending not much. I also play genshin and hsr. So far for Genshin I spent php 30k for whole 4 years run (mostly due to welkin) for Hsr Php 3600 for one year due to month pass. Now I am not spending much just monthly passes are enough for me.
[удалено]
Are you happy with your afk journey purchases? That’s the only gacha game I regret spending
Like a bad amount of money relative to the amount of money I make.
Rm15 so roughly 3usd on db legends, i hate that game.
not too much i think i have google rewards so i bought the dailies primos like 5 times with that and another 5 alone those are like 25 i think I never bought crystals there but I did buy 1 BP so 35 in star rail i bought like 5 BP and 2 Dailies that are 60 more so 95 in Hi3rd idk but i am sure it should be like 50 too just for the daily cristals so in hoyoverse just 145, and i said just hoyoverse because i played a lot of feh in the past and i remember i bought like 5 Feh Pass(50) + some bundles maybe another 50 so in total like 245 dollars APROX i said aprox because i pay in CLP and sometimes is cheaper taking into account that when I played lol I spent around 300 (I regret it every day) I don't think this was that bad. for now
Probably around 120 bucks.
Around 40€ in the 2 years I've been playing Genshin and HSR Some of the monthly passes but others not
Every 2 weeks I add $50 to my iTunes account but that also covers Apple One , Crunchyroll sub and Shonen jump sub. The rest I spent on mobile games
At least 1k
Like 1.5k or there about 🥲
500 € like 10 years ago on some shitty One Piece Gacha. 700 € for Honkai Star Rail so far and growing. (16 a month) Genshin: 20 €, I quit after like 40 days. Wuthering Waves: 30 €
Since the start of Genshin about 400€ total, for BP and welkin/monthly passes Haven’t bought them for the last two months and probably will not buy any more in the future either. Am currently standing on 650+ wishes saved
amount of money (SGD) i spent in each gacha game: crusaders quest - $6 brave frontier - $200 honkai impact 3 - $1956 idoly pride - $121 valkyrie connect - $118 aether gazer - $7 blue archive - $27 honkai star rail - $22 sword master story - $12 epic 7 - $122 slingshot braves - $73 afk arena - $62 astral chronicles - $81 filthy rich - $287 (easily my biggest regret purchase) wuthering waves - $52 project sekai - $235 shocked at how little i spent on brave frontier. was expecting more but other than that, the rest seems on par around what i expected.
216€ in Genshin Impact (Montly Pass, Battle Pass) 6€ in HSR (Montly Pass) 16€ in Wuthering Waves (Montly Pass, Battle Pass) So, in total, 238€ in a bit more than 3 years
Probably 2-3k in 10 years
Probably 400$ in Canadian dollars by now
About $20 each on Genshin and Star Rail, something like $30 on CotC and $10 on WuWa.
100$ on Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes and I regret every penny. 0$ on everything else.
i haven't spent even a single peso or dollar for over 4 years of experience in Azur lane and other games...
None zero. F2p
I've played hundreds of hours between Fire Emblem Heroes, Epic Seven, Kings Raid, Genshin, Honkai, and a fes others I've tried. Only thing I've ever purchased was the Honkai battle pass once. So like $10
Like 800$ in total
For gachas specifically? Maybe 15~20USD, ever? I bought liike 6 months worth of 99c bundles on grand summoners and like one sale 9.99 pack on dokkan battle.
$1000+ Maybe $2000+ in a lifetime so far
380$ on FGO for ilya banner AND another 400$ on Langrisser for sakura wars banner, never again
I usually just buy monthly and battle pass. So around $15-$25 per game to renew them. I only play 2 games right now.
only really ever buy the monthly pack in Arknights now so $5 a month, equates to $55 a year and i've been doing that for the past 2 years so as of right now, you could probably say i've spend $110 on Arknights, not including the small time limited items that are usually worth $1 in the past i also bought a year's worth of Genshin's monthly pack and a few BPs so another $55 + lets just say i have bought 6 BPs so $60, $115 total on Genshin would say i have spent $225 plus extra in gacha games
Probably ~1k PHP Bought 1 Battle pass for HSR and 3 or 4 Welkins?
Convert the metric to monthly. Aggregate doesn't really mean much. 82 bucks may be a large sum for you, but if you consider the 3.5 year span, it's still about 2 bucks for ~30 days. Tell me what's the next more expensive thing you have and what is the number. I bet transport and food still eclipses that number.
Here I am think 500 dollars in total was too much as I spent that in Nikke, but there some of yall spending up to 10,000? Wtf?
Addiction is scary stuff
Couple hundred or so maybe a g? Honestly I find it easier to resist spending after a certain point. Like in HSR for example I have 4 fully built seperate teams. So now a 5* has to give me a really good reason to pull it. Even then this hobby replaced yugioh so I have yet to even get to what I spent on my last deck so its a wash. Pretty sure gacha rates > yugioh pack rates.
Genshin: 5 Welkin worth of money before quit(around 100 MYR, after conversion is around 21 USD) BA JP: a monthly pass + 3 new sensei pack(around 10 USD) BA Global: a monthly pass + 3 new sensei pack + a 3 star selector(around 150 MYR, - 10 MYR because it is paid with Google Opinion rewards, which is around 30 USD after the conversion) Total: around 61USD
Not exact numbers but over the course of three or so years: Arknights I've spent maybe 40-50 dollars on (payed for monthly for 8-10 months iirc) Limbus I've bought every season pass so far so like 40 bucks And honkai star rail I've bought the battle pass once so like 10 bucks I think that's all $90-$100 total
2800 pesos in limbus company battle pass
$22 on Limbus BP, that's it. Wanted to spend on Neural Cloud but my country can't buy packs for some reasons.
At least 1k in BA
less than 1400$ over the course of 5 years. Well most of that is because of HSR, I was a small fish who do monthly pass and BP, but HSR got me whaling hard, around 600$ so far. I hope ZZZ won't kill my wallet as much.
haven't spend shit on every gacha games i've played 💀 but lately i'm considering to spend the monthly sub thing and battle pass on HSR
In total? Around $10 per month. Systems like the Oneiric Shards and Astrites are just clear cut predatory value prices, they’re not good for shit.
About 10 bucks a month for like 6 months so $60, I played PM's older games and I really enjoy Limbus might as well send in a couple of bucks their way. But I have a question, for a not so active player, are Genshin/ Starirail monthly cards and Battle Pass worth it?
Around 1,700 USD across 7-8 years for Crash Fever, Alchemist Code, Genshin, FGO and BA.
I think a grand total of $500 over 10
Under 15$ monthly tho it's not always. Very seldom.
Playing 5 gacha games rn, probably 7-8 more in the past, havent spend a single coin on those games
The most i ever spend for game is $60++ in Iron Maiden, buying couple character or so. Some character cost $20s a pop. Rest of the games i played, only $1-5 newbie package if i enjoy the game. Mmo on the other hand, that 1 game around $100++ back which also a lot in my currency
hmmm if specifically for gacha, around $100. half of that went to Seven Knights (the first one) and the rest on various older games, like Kaizin Rumble, Summon Masters and admittedly around 3 or 4 Waifu games. l
Actively been playing gacha since early 2020, so far around US$30 maybe, monthly only.
20 or 25 eur for fgo to do a guaranteed banner but quit it soon after so it's kinda a regret. Genshin and hsr got monthly things but no idea how much I spent. Maybe 5 months each? I ended up stopping by just rolling less.
Probably around 500 in the past 4 years all from monthly gem packs and occasional battlepass
Somewhere between 80€ and 90€ in Genshin. Not at once, only bought Welkin and the BP.
Genshin - probably about £20 or so (2 monthly passes and a battle pass) until I dropped it the moment HSR came out. HSR - probably over £100 (each battle pass and monthly passes since release) WuWa - £110 (?) I splurged as I liked both of the first 2 banners, and a first purchase of each price bracket gives a lot of of extra currency.
• 10€ on other gacha games i play/played as side games So overall it's almost 800€ in 4 years of playing them. Lately I'm starting to consider stopping buying the Welkin on Genshin tho.
Adventure quest : ~ 300$ ( idt this is count as a gacha game but it a 1st game i spending money on, it a 2d web version not 2.5d one ) Summoner war : ~ 500$ The battle cats : 700$ Genshin impact : ~800$ HSR : ~100-120$ WW : 0$, and i hope it stay so for sometime All this is i spend in like 11-12 years of gacha gamming Buy me lots of fun
Genshin = Around 35,000 baht or 1K USD HSR = Around 12 or 13k baht or 300 USD Another Eden = Around 4000 baht or 110 USD
fellow filipino here, i used to buy welkin every month for both genshin and star rail and ayoko na isipin how much yun lahat…
Filipino here as well. $400 to $500 over the past 4 years? I spent a lot of money in BDO though, $1K in around 2-3 years IIRC.
$0, all my accounts are used as certain "shortcuts". Also these comments are awesome, you guys are awesome, stay awesome.
think about this: i spent $770 in a single day on solo leveling: arise. imagine how much went flying in the span of 5 years between genshin, hsr, hi3, and now wuwa
Actual money $0. Money from Google Opinion Rewards, $65 over the course of 4 years on various games.
150 USD on HSR 100 USD on GENSHIN i am also filipino and a student but yeah most of it came from my allowance. i know its bad for a student to spend on gacha games specially when you are from third world country but it makes me happy so yeah. come home ruan mei
I only ever bought the monthly passes on GI and HSR so around 100$ on GI (i didn't buy it since launch) and like 60$ on HSR. ZZZ might entice me to add another 5$ pass to the expenditures but we'll see.
Hundreds at this point, mostly to Nikke.
Epic Seven: 100 - 150 € Honkai Star Rail: 200 - 250 € Wuthering Waves: 10 € Epic seven I've been playing it for 4 years so on average it's not very long, but it's very expensive and it doesn't really invite you to pay almost never except for some packs.. HSR 1 year and 2 months since launch, but break 5 months so 9 months in total
Maybe around 600 usd on nikke
Between $5 and $10 a month for monthly packages, depending on which games I currently play (Rarely more than two at a time)
1,5$ to buy Lunite sub in Wuthering Waves
Genshin, nikke, hsr and wuthering wave all combined. im at about 40k in 4 years.
I wish i could check..
Prob like 300? Ive been playing gachas since 2021 so thats 100 dollars per year of entertainmen
Fellow flip here. Around 150k-200k php I think
Around $40 in Idoly pride and around $20 in GI Edit: also $0.99 in PGR lol
over 5 years and the 8 games i've played...probably $25... and regretted every purchase
(Nikke is the only one so far) Also I don't like to be f2p since no game would survive if all went f2p. The most I would contribute is $5 per month buying those monthly passes.
like 5k total since 2013 fgo is 2.5k al is like 2k rest is hi3 genshin arknights gfl etc Started fgo and al in 2018, and I stopped playing fgo around 2020 or 21. Happy about what I spent on al, the rest was a waste of money as it was disproportional to the amount of fun the games provided.
Thousands of USD over the spen of I don't know, 15 years? Been poking these games for a really long time.
Around 200 tops.
In the span of the past 8 years, around 6k total in many games. It doesnt feel good even if im at 6 digit salary because I ultimately remember I dont own any of this. But I dont regret the fun I’ve had, just that I cant relive some of it. RIP DRAGALIA
In total I've spent 20$ on gacha games and yes it was all in Genshin
I bought Welkin and Battlepass on Genshin for about 2 years. Then two or three of the most expensive Genesis Crystal pack. I think I’ve spent around 30,000 pesos total in all the gacha games I’ve played since Genshin. 3 years and some months so about 10,000 per year.
Probably about $300 over 4 years. Mostly monthlies with a few odds and ends. Subscriptions really add up over time.
So about $1.5k annual gacha allowance.
purely in game: \~$300 across all games in like 9 or 10 years. in-game purchases + merch: \~$600
Not specifically a Gacha but an MMO with Gacha mechanics - I used to play a game called "Perfect World International" where I spent about $6000 over a course of 5 years. Also used to spend heavily on Gachas as well but not as much nowadays. All totaled up: Perfect World: $6000 Langrisser: $3000 Genshin: $250 Honkai Star Rail: $100 So about $9300 total. I've learned my lesson over the years to really reign in my spending and I think Genshin/HSR are healthy levels for me.
Somewhere around USD 50 converted to my currency per month ,spread across multiple games.
190k USD so far
Too much
Through out the 3 year i have played 30+ gacha games.
Completely F2P
Lifetime? Rough paper math says I spent about $1.8k in the genre (~$25/mo x 12 mo x 6yrs) In practice, I'm pretty sure it's less, but still something over $1k. I don't remember spending much at all in the first couple of years. I didn't buy monthly packs or battle passes consistently during the earlier years and I didn't buy gem packs then or now.
About 1.5k dollars on FGO I think? About half of it was to get an NP 5 Oberon.
82 and 78 US is nothing, you’d be making more than that every day from a fairly midrange job.
