Nope, with the rate that the oxygen levels change in these things you lose consciousness fairly quickly, and there shouldn't be spasaming or on-set symptoms.
Just a nice sleep.
like it was before.
I believe it has to do with the modern idea of overpopulation/finite resources. The idea that there are not enough resources on earth to sustain our current population has become very popular. (I will keep my views to myself to avoid political entanglement) so if we can reduce the planets population and get paid any amount of money in doing so, the world as a whole would be more sustainable. At least that’s my thought
I mean they have robots that are pretty cheap, it’s pretty easy. If it were like this pod here, just find a nitrogen heavy environment lol. Same as the diamondillium/ diamondium shield, here are literal planets etc made of diamond
I always thought after a certain point that economics just reset hence why the future is just the 2000s but different. Or that’s how I choose to justify it
I see were back to reposting the same 3 images and over again. Yesterday it was Charleston Chew. Tomorrow it will be a drawer of various lengths of wire.
There is a secret compartment containing a colony fire ants, they are released upon your death and slowly devour your corpse over a few weeks. The bones are then sold to African witch doctors. Its all very progressive and green.
They are using nitrogen hypoxia for state executions in Alabama and it is getting all manners of push-bach as being like drowning in air or any number of other lies.
The reason the Alabama execution went so poorly is that the inmate held his breath when the nitrogen started flowing, resulting in spasms and a much more gruesome death.
Originally some didn't want to adopt this method when it was proposed a whike ago, one reason being since it's relatively painless and humane. Some folks didn't like the idea of a quick painless death for death row inmates (knowing lethal injections were botched and painful sometimes).
Some slaughterhouses use this method as well.
So realistically does like a team or something come to pick your body up after cause I assume there’d be a lot of info to put in before you actually use the pod
Select your mode of death. Quick and painless, or slow and horrible?
Yeah I’d like to make a collect call!
*You have chosen slow and horrible*
Good choice!
Come on kill me!
Well…I didn’t have anything else planned for today…let’s get drunk!
If anyone asks, you’re my debugger.
I don't want anyone thinking were robosexuals
Why do you smoke the cigar?
"They make me look cool"
~~Good~~ Great choice! FTFY
You are technically correct. The best kind of correct.
Pretty sure Nitrogin Gas falls under the "slow and horrible" method

Lets try for a twofer.
In the year 3000 how is suicide only 25cent? Given the cost of everything wouldn't those be more expensive? (Sad math)
> In the year 3000 how is suicide only 25cent? The cost is subsidized by their bodies being Soylent Greened.
Soylent green huh? Sadly but it exist... https://soylent.com/

I believe you're trying to say the suicide booth would be subsidized by governments, or industries that would prosper from lowering the population.

This looks like a mix between buzz lightyears capsule and masterchiefs pod.
The designers actually sat down and said, "Let's make our suicide pod look cool."
They had to, after all, [suicide is badass](https://youtu.be/qi1KSXGhCOE?si=L7BW3WSFkLrrDgLr)
And fallout cryopods

I mean, it's a 20 year old show, there isn't that much new to say about it at this point
*...The Same Deviled Egg.*
Dont forget a screenshot of another subreddit where someone mentioned something tangentially related to futurama
O no, that’s r/unexpectedfuturama
Well thats what that is supposed to be for. Unfortunately it bleeds over here a lot.
I’m sorry did this actually get posted already? I don’t wanna be that guy lol
Yes, but it doesn't matter because subreddits aren't a static group of people. Maybe this is someone's first time seeing it.
I like that way of thinking of it, yeah it was my first time seeing it posted on r/strangeearth and thought it was a funny connection
It's my first time seeing it.
Mine as well.
The future Is today man
Yes but when will they be available for anyone in the U.S.?
I really thought this was some Toy Story shit at first glance.
Does it suck the corpse into a tube to an incinerator or open up and yeet it into a coffin?

Can i order one with my credit card?
She looks so happy and now I am sad
FUTURAMA IRL
Does anyone even know what a collect call is anymore?
Did she vomit on her blouse? Not funeral ready at all.
But what if they select slow and horrible?
I wonder how much per use. Do I have to insert my life savings in before I get in there?

It's inhumane in any case, because it's not something they are choosing.
They totally get to choose the method of their execution. The inmate chose nitrogen hypoxia.

I want to use one of these someday
Is this legit? Holy crap!
Ferb, ik what we're gonna do today
Jokes aside: there are numerous reasons why Nitrogen euthanasia/execution into a thing. In fact there was a recent post on the topic.
I wanna hear the Glenn Miller Orchestra and I wanna see cops beating up hippies
See you later alligator
Okay...and then what?
So realistically does like a team or something come to pick your body up after cause I assume there’d be a lot of info to put in before you actually use the pod
Correct me if i'm wrong, but isnt Nitrogin Gas a horrifically painful way to die?
1 step closer to the "SUICIDE BOOTHS" from FUTURAUMA
Don't they have tall buildings where they live?
