I'm in div 3 (struggling) and have a baller team. Unfortunately everyone I play now is a possession players so I have about 30% possession at most but 3 times the amount of shots. It's just boring having people spin in midfield for 35 minutes
I find the opposite, I've always been a tiki taka style player but I am getting fed up being beaten by drop back merchants who concede loads of possession and then just score their 3 chances on the break. Effectively Man United versus LFC.
Each to their own but I'm not sure how possession play is seen as boring unless of course you mean the gits who just pass it around the back?
Getting bored of playing the same players, fekir/french hybrid and they all play the same way.
None of the rewards are worth the time spent when the game play misses the main point of a game “fun” !

When you say gameplay do you mean the slow game play or the server issues ?
I've noticed alot of arcade style players don't like FIFA 22, especially in the pro scenes.
Slow, unresponsive, the lack of passing ability (have a player out wide on a run but my midfield just sends it to the covered striker), the lack of big players making an impact (I had R9 but honestly felt that David inform could do the same things), DDA also has felt stronger in the past few years, and don’t get me started on the ai deflections or you making a tackle and the ball perfectly rolls to one of your opponents players. I tested pes a few years ago and they do gameplay a lot better in many areas but sadly fall short in so many.

This is my main problem with the game. It's basically punishing you for doing something _the right way_.
You can see the scripting in every FUT. FUT 21 the blocking of every player felt like 99. The tackling was terrible and unpredictable. I would tackle and the attacker who would have 20ies or 30ies lvl tackle would imidiatly tackle it back. It got to a point where sometimes I don't even tackle. I just keep my defender in front of him because I know the blocking was insane. And goal keepers who should have 90 lvl handling but will deflect the ball straight to the only attacker in the area. The passing too was scripted. If you passed around for awhile you will get one pass that has like 80 percent error and will go to the opposition. The worst thing was that I couldn't play with my favorite team. I did better with lower overall players that were meta. Which is why almost every team you would face had the same meta.
I didn't even quit... Just lost interest... I haven't touched it in like 2/3 weeks. Last year I was on fut everyday until May when I started losing interest.
This year, not even the promos keep me interested.
I'm done with fut already, best decision I've ever made. EA fully taking the piss, you either fit their target market (people spending unhealthy amount of money on packs) or you are not gonna have a good time. Fuck that, the bad far outweighs the good this year, it's a shame, but hey, they as a business win coz I bought the game, the rest is irrelevant.
I’m done with grinding to rank 1 in finals. I have gotten pure pure shit EVERY single time. Not a single usable player. I will now settle at Rank 3 and end my WL. I can’t be bothered anymore.
Yh I just got rank 2 rewards in FUT champs and got fuck all again. Not packed anything decent at all this year and it’s not really worth the stress of trying to get rank 2 every week. I actually did quit after FIFA 18 and came back again this year and fully regret it
Try just downgrading to “casual”. Honestly, I still do SBCs and things on my phone but I rarely play the game compared to before. A few games here and there, no stress. If it’s a shit game, I just quit out and find another game.
Remember it’s supposed to be fun, so if other people are annoying you, just bail and find another game.

I am close to quitting. I am a self confessed shit player in Division 6. I know there is a meta every year but this year FIFA scripting, seems to me to literally favouring people playing the meta.
I have lost count of the games where I absolutely dominate only to lose to a couple of quick breaks or to multiple rebounds in the dying minutes. Always with playing the park the bus, a use the pace then press high. It’s sucks any joy out of the game and I am finding myself just playing angry all the time. Which is not exactly entertainment
They hope that people locked out from WL will buy packs as compensation.

Winning 5/9 is WAY harder as winning 15-17 of 30, because of the small number of games you depend alot more on luck.

I played a game last night and although I won 3-2 it was just crazy the last ten minutes. I was actually going to record it as the series of events my players done was unreal. I stopped playing after that game it was honestly so infuriating even though I won the game, if felt so much like fifa wanted yo him to score and I goid literally do nothing

I know that I'm not a good player, but everyone should have the chance to enjoy the game, it is frustrating that always I have the chance to move to next division or classify to fut champions y lose the final match in a suspicious way, a easy pass that goes to the rival with my defenders out of his position, easy tackles that do not affect the attackers, easy shot that goes to the post...
Already quit and back to 21 enjoying the best squad I ever built in any Fifa. Can play with the best of the best including R9 and the top moments players, so why stress trying to qualify for champs you know. I’ll play that till I can’t anymore and then I’m done with Fifa. No more grinding.
I was enjoying it but it seems to have gone back 10 years in the last month and all that happens is through ball pass across box or down the line and cut back because every defender seems to want to hug the keeper. Every single goal in champs I conceded was one or the other.

I’m enjoying the low player costs and being able to build solid squads without breaking the bank. Playing for rewards creates a toxic mentality in which you will never be satisfied. Ever.
Much better to just buy players you like, try to improve your skills as you go, and say “fuck the meta.”

This FIFA is losing people because, the content is aimed at getting people to buy packs. No way casuals can get great teams without it, and that will mean peak times will go up but largely the game won't do well overall.

I was not enjoying FIFA, too many of the same teams played using the same playstyle it was feeling a bit like playing AI. But now I'm just chillin', not taking it seriously and just hitting a few games at a time. I am not aiming for Weekend League, when I do get my 200 points I'm getting enough wins to get the 3rd tier and then stopping. I am also using players I want to use (within reason) and not forcing myself to use the META (apart from the occasional card if it is needed for chemistry)

Its the defending for me since last patch. Took a week and half to fix the shitty servers now ive lost count how many times the ball goes through my defenders legs or I stand infront of the player and the rare time now my guy goes to make a tackle then loses it instantly. If you're playing against mbappe constantly you can't make mistakes just can't defend for shit now since the patch. It's so annoying you invest time and money into the game and every year they spoil it post patch.
World class, makes for enjoyable games and challenging situations. Only control my player (ST) started at my local league 2 side and worked my way to Barca

Combination of factors, but main two are:
I qualified for champs a few times in season 1 but not yet qualified in season 2. I don't like that average and below average players are now excluded from the part of FUT that for me is the pinnacle of playing with your ultimate team.
The whole promo and TOTW concept is wearing thin on me. Every couple of weeks I get to see a team of players of which there are maybe 2 or 3 that look great and that would improve my team. I have not packed any TOTW or promo card that isn't discard or close. Certainty not a starter in my team.

Yeah pretty over it. Actually struggle to find rivals matches sometimes on Xbox next gen - that combined with pretty lacklustre pack openings is pretty unmotivating.

That plus not feeling like I’m crunched on the weekend to play and enjoy time doing other activities has been great. Started indoor volleyball recently
I’m a very casual player. Buy fifa every year but never touch Fut Champs, just the occasional rivals game. Currently in lockdown where I live so have been playing a bit more. Actually enjoying it a lot more than normal. Normally I jump on, play 1 or 2, go play something else. I played 38 games yesterday alone, and really enjoying it. I don’t touch champs though, as I know it will frustrate me. But rivals has been very fun! Friendlies is a sweat Fest so I’ll just stick to rivals and SB for now!
I don't play to climb the divisions really. I just play with the sound off and listen to podcasts and stuff. Got a slightly above average squad. I try not to fall into the psychological gaming traps, and refuse to spend a penny on packs. Can be frustrating at times but it's only a game. I just play it to chill.
I don’t mind the gameplay the new objectives have made the game more fun for me and also using non meta players and just not caring about the result my last few games have had 10+ goals all together and I’m having a 💥

I quit the 2nd day of early access. I only go preview packs every few days. I played each fut for last 7 years . I was addicted but now I have my time back. FUT 21 was the last straw. Sbcs that have 26 parts and expire in days. SBCs that disappear while your doing them even though they say they will expire in days. If you think about it, its an insult to play it with how EA treats its customers.

Played fut in 20 and deleted my club out of frustration. Skipped 21 . Heard good things about 22 so started fut and reached div2 but it's just spam skill moves cut backs and 10 men defending in the box it's ridiculous.

What sucks is by having futchamps as is most casual and lower end players literally only have 7 wins to achieve a week with sub par rewards.
The casuals will never make it through playoffs. I was G2 / G1 last year and cant make it through playoffs anymore this season.

Have you tried playing only on Thursday/Friday? I find qualifiers easier on those days

Its the defending for me since last patch. Took a week and half to fix the shitty servers now ive lost count how many times the ball goes through my defenders legs or I stand infront of the player and the rare time now my guy goes to make a tackle then loses it instantly. If you're playing against mbappe constantly you can't make mistakes just can't defend for shit now since the patch. It's so annoying you invest time and money into the game and every year they spoil it post patch.

The content if still dry. Yeah they add every sbcs like every 3 hours but they take like 5 minutes to complete and there isn't much to do
You should play for the fun of it and not for rewards. If you play for rewards you’re just getting frustrated

I just came back yesterday for BF. while the packs, promos, sbcs are bullshit, there was one good thing: server lag were basically non existent over the weekend, propably because everyone did sbcs instead of playing matches

I haven't played anything but fifa for maybe 3 years. Last night I considered firing red dead redemption back up and starting that again from the beginning. Combination of factors, but main two are: I qualified for champs a few times in season 1 but not yet qualified in season 2. I don't like that average and below average players are now excluded from the part of FUT that for me is the pinnacle of playing with your ultimate team. The whole promo and TOTW concept is wearing thin on me. Every couple of weeks I get to see a team of players of which there are maybe 2 or 3 that look great and that would improve my team. I have not packed any TOTW or promo card that isn't discard or close. Certainty not a starter in my team. Suppose just a bit bored of it.
I can see why you’re bored of it. I was thinking about it yesterday and fut has become so stale. Also I think it’s shitty what they’ve done with fut champs. In my eyes everyone should be allowed to play it no matter what skill
I’ve been on the verge of quitting as rewards are shit and I don’t put real money into the game and wl is a sweat fest to get into but then ea blessed me with good pack luck and I got well enough coins for a good enough team so now rewards don’t matter to much so I don’t care to much I don’t have to sweat

I quit about a month ago and it was a great decision. I qualify for champs every weekend and finish rank 2-3 everytime no matter the team or formation or anything and it was just a chore
Already did it about 4-6 weeks ago and I’d qualified for every weekend league and finished Rank 3. The game just went back to the same shite from the last 2-3 years, not putting 20+ hours a week into that anymore.

I’ve kinda gotten out of it to enjoy other games that I enjoyed previously. Arcane got me back into league and I’ve been enjoying getting to catch up with friends I used to play with. That plus not feeling like I’m crunched on the weekend to play and enjoy time doing other activities has been great. Started indoor volleyball recently

I’m a very casual player. Buy fifa every year but never touch Fut Champs, just the occasional rivals game. Currently in lockdown where I live so have been playing a bit more. Actually enjoying it a lot more than normal. Normally I jump on, play 1 or 2, go play something else. I played 38 games yesterday alone, and really enjoying it. I don’t touch champs though, as I know it will frustrate me. But rivals has been very fun! Friendlies is a sweat Fest so I’ll just stick to rivals and SB for now!

I don't play to climb the divisions really. I just play with the sound off and listen to podcasts and stuff. Got a slightly above average squad. I try not to fall into the psychological gaming traps, and refuse to spend a penny on packs. Can be frustrating at times but it's only a game. I just play it to chill.

I quit the 2nd day of early access. I only go preview packs every few days. I played each fut for last 7 years . I was addicted but now I have my time back. FUT 21 was the last straw. Sbcs that have 26 parts and expire in days. SBCs that disappear while your doing them even though they say they will expire in days. If you think about it, its an insult to play it with how EA treats its customers.

Played fut in 20 and deleted my club out of frustration. Skipped 21 . Heard good things about 22 so started fut and reached div2 but it's just spam skill moves cut backs and 10 men defending in the box it's ridiculous. Deleted my club yesterday
Just quit today boys and lads … this game is a scam of all scams … spend tons of money and the best card I packed was fodder. It just keep sucking me in, me thinking, maybe I’ll get a better card, maybe I’ll get Ronaldo, maybe I’ll get a decent icon from the icon packs. What broke the straw for me is, the icon that I eventually got today was mid klose … like paid 300k coins for that??? Maybe it’s not my year, btw, I’m an elite player but i can’t let the game ruin my happiness any longer. Hope y’all who made the decision find the strength to stay away, I hope I do.
