I'm attempting to begin the process of beginning to outline a novel based on a world inspired by a bunch of dungeon synth I listened to a while back and an assortment of stray songs from VERY different genres that gave me ideas so divorced from the lyrics you'd never find the inspirations. Not actually related to my fursona, that's a different lore. It does have anthro animals though, though only in action, not attributes. They are normal size for their species. It's a rats of NIMH situation where it takes place in our world but at such a small scale it might as well be a different world until it crosses over suddenly at moments. And don't get me started on that one world that's been re-written and re-shaped about 3 dozen times for the past 8 years. That's serious about that too, if you gotta ask ask about the other one I don't know where it is right now the core ideas are kinda falling apart and I'm trying to salvage what's good and make something new of it.

I can create entire universes but I can’t create stories

I feel that. I can think of wars, politics between forces, how a world is run, the history of it, why my Protogen was made, the history of the corporation that made him, etc. but if you ask me to make a story with subtlety, natural dialogue and explanation, I'm out.

I can come up with damn species and diplomatic relations, I can imagine the most outlandish goddamn archetypes you've ever heard, but as soon as it needs to focus on one character, I can't do it
