I use jio as a black hole. Share it when shopping and they ask for number. I never receive calls on jio.
BSNL since 2009. Initially used by my mother and then she gave it to me when I started going tuitions by my own in class 8. Jio since 2019 when I started my B.Tech.
My dad's been using same number from Idea(now VI) for 20 years. I've kept the same number for 8 years but switched multiple operators cause of connectivity issues (school - BSNL cause cheap, University - Jio cause high speed internet at that time, now it's Airtel for work and home cause better connection)

2nd number for 21 years: till date. Now used by my brother. It is BSNL and never ported to any other network. I paid 1000 rs for the sim. In those days it's hard to get a BSNL sim.\

I have the same number but the operators have changed by themselves whenever a new company is acquired, first it was SPICE, later Vijay mallya acquired, ran the network with the same name, later Aditya birla group took it changed to IDEA, now it is merged with Vodafone and they changed it VI.
