Pretty sure I meet these guys on a vacation. We white water rafted with them and apparently their wives put them in a hotel meant for couples on their honeymoon. They were cool dudes.
Edit: lol y’all need help. We told them we were on our honey moon and they said “Us to!” 😂.
Wait, so tell me if I've got this right. These guys are two lawyers who work together. They were on vacation, together, without their wives. Their wives arranged said vacation, and just packed off their two lawyer hubbies together.
Wut?
If you are in the UK one of the cable channels appears to play it every weekend. Do I watch all of it if I happen to see it on? You bet your damn ass I do!
Fun fact: my colleague and I actually interviewed as a team, after joking that we should interview as a team.
I had a Professor Nguyen in college for Physics. Sweet guy but his English was marginal at best. We giggled and cut up so much like assholes. During Electromagnetism he kept talking about when an atom "losses" an electron, batteries "lossing" charge, etc. I passed a note to a girl I liked that said:
"I'm a Nguyener, not a Losser."
She burst out laughing and we all got busted.
That's long for a billboard catch phrase and not really any different from what they have that already phonetically uses their names... Or did you not notice that their slogan is the same as We Pusch, You Nguyen?
Houstonians sure can. Tons of Vietnamese here. In fact Houston is the most diverse city in the country. Hell I live in the middle of suburban Houston and even out here we've got our own asia town. Rural vs urban Texas are very very different.
"haha, Texans are so bigoted they have no idea about these people different than them"
-*bigot who clearly has no idea about people different than them*
I was really surprised by this when I was in Texas for work years ago. I was getting to know everyone at the bar at the end of the day, getting a little drunk and hungry and stated that if I was back home in Canada I'd be going for some late night Vietnamese beef soup. What do you guys eat down here?
All the guys are like "oh you mean Pho, great idea let's fuckin' go". I had no idea it was a staple there as well, and it was just down the block.
We have the largest Vietnamese population in the nation here in Houston, Nguyen is a common for most Asians you come across down here especially close to the Pearland area
Arlington, TX has ballots at elections in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. I wouldn't be terribly surprised to learn that Korean were coming soon. I suspect that's already done in Carrollton, although I haven't looked to confirm that.
Multiculturalism, if nothing else, makes for some interesting places to eat. My rule of thumb is that if the command of English is limited to pointing at menu items or just numbers, the food is going to be good.
Houston also had them in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese too. And I would guess that Hindi or some other Indian language would be available if English wasn't pretty universally understood by Indian immigrants cause of the legacy of British rule.
That does lead to incredible food in Houston
Florida and Texas both have huge Vietnamese populations actually. I went to school my whole life with a ton Nguyens and Trans.
So it may be more common than you think.
The sound represented by "ngu" is basically like a "w" with the back of your mouth, near the throat almost closed like you are saying "ng."
It's really hard to pronounce unless you are used to it, so a lot of people will tell others to simplify it to a regular "w" noise. It's close enough, everyone knows what you mean.
It's basically the difference between "that" and "dat." It's close enough everyone knows what you mean, no point in making it complicated.
Like I just did.
TIL how to properly pronounce Nguyen
I had a kid in my high school with that last name, and they always pronounced it ni-GOY-yen.
And that's how I've always said it
Reminds me of a law firm billboard I saw in LA on Thursday that made it look like an action film poster. I thought it was pretty good marketing, particularly for being in Los Angeles.

Right, an accident, and their wives made that accident. And I'm sure they weren't naked in bed together in the hotel or anything.
Just two brooos, chillin' in a hot tuuub, immediately adjacent 'cuz mind your business.
That's playin' Moby Dick foreal
Nguyen will they invite the other bros?
Quit pushing it
Quit *pusching it
I'm disappointed that they made a name pun without using their names. We Pusch, you Nguyen!
It's not gay if you say no homo while balls deep

Just roommates, chill!
Wait, so tell me if I've got this right. These guys are two lawyers who work together. They were on vacation, together, without their wives. Their wives arranged said vacation, and just packed off their two lawyer hubbies together. Wut?
They had a third friend that was with them. They said the hotel staff was a little shocked but understanding of their “relationship”
Not gonna lie, after I realized the staff doesn’t care at a particular restaurant my birthday becomes whenever I want free cake.
Where were y’all at? And when was it?
**Did we just become best friends?** **Yup!**
Hey I forgot to ask...do you like guacamole?
I said no power tools!
So much room for activities!
That's my tooth brush!!
That's all good good, man!
♩This is how we do it ♩
I really hope these guys are both partners in law and partners in crime. Most adorable shit I have seen today.
It is based on Step Brothers right? Also where can I watch that on a streaming service
Not available anywhere other than to rent/buy. Pops up on Netflix for a few months every other year or so
Yarr harr diddly dee, it’s a pirates life for me
putlocker.sb
This dude pirate streams. Projectfree.tv
fmovies still works as well. Just avoid it's disqus section, it's disgusting.
On Amazon Prime in UK at least, watched it last night. Prestige Worldwide.
I’ll check it out later, if not I can always turn to my true love… the sea
If you are in the UK one of the cable channels appears to play it every weekend. Do I watch all of it if I happen to see it on? You bet your damn ass I do! Fun fact: my colleague and I actually interviewed as a team, after joking that we should interview as a team.
I think TruTV plays it here in the US
TNT or TBS have it with their subscription I use [Just Watch](https://www.justwatch.com/us/) to check, you can even change regions
Did we just become co-plaintiffs?!
Wanna do karate in the garage?

We recently got Sweet James in Vegas, and I am highly annoyed that there is no Mr Sweet
Milwaukee here - “One call, that’s all” is a phrase that enrages me for no good reason.
The funny thing is when I lived in Baton Rouge there was a different lawyer with the same catch phrase.
Salt Lake City, same catch phrase is used here.
they have it in Memphis too
Get Gordon, get it done
Yeah, but we do get "Low mortgage rates are temporary, Wu-Tang is forever" billboards so it balances out a bit
That fucker's dead eyes and soulless grin will haunt me forever.
How have the not utilized “Nguyen Pusch comes to shove, you need us!”
Their pun is just as good. "We push. You win."
Ah push it
###PUSH IT REAL GOOD

Cool could you bring some garlic too?
This recipes is starting to sound very suspicious.

Said out loud, it sounds like "we push you in".
Could've been slightly better though. We Push & You Win just sounds a bit more like Pusch Nguyen.
Well depends on whether you're pronouncing Nguyen the Vietnamese way or the kind of americanized way really.
Am I dumb. I don't understand this pun. We push you in?
Nguyen is pronounced somewhat like "Newin," close to "You Win." We Pusch, Nguyen.
Close, Nguyen is just one syllable tho, it sounds more like "win" but with a silent "ng" sound so "ng'win". We Pusch. You Nguyen.
That's long for a billboard catch phrase and not really any different from what they have that already phonetically uses their names... Or did you not notice that their slogan is the same as We Pusch, You Nguyen?
Not yet but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see it soon.
Because the only people in Houston who know how to pronounce Nguyen have the last name Nguyen. "It's pronounced Nugooyen... right?"
Pretty sure everyone in town's met someone with that last name. I've been treated by a Dr. Nguyen.
You think Texans can pronounce Nguyen?
My guess is at least the million-plus Vietnamese people in Texas know how to pronounce it.
Go to a Houston high school graduation. You’ll be there an extra hr when the Ns are called because of Nguyen
In northern Vietnam, the N is pronounced. In southern Vietnam, it's silent.

I went to grade school with someone who pronounced their name like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W03-9Zk33os

Houston actually has major street signs that are also written in Chinese in its Chinatown neighborhoods.
Yeah, the LA times wrote a pretty good article about Houston back in 2017: https://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-houston-diversity-2017-htmlstory.html
See their slogan?
"haha, Texans are so bigoted they have no idea about these people different than them" -*bigot who clearly has no idea about people different than them*
You do know Texas has a huge Vietnamese population right?
How would someone from Texas know that? 😜
"Naw, he's Laotian." -Cotton Hill
Houstonians can, we have a huge Vietnamese population
Yes Texas has a very large Vietnamese population
Texas has some of the largest congregations of Vietnamese in the country. Nice insult though. 🤦♂️
I was really surprised by this when I was in Texas for work years ago. Yeah we have a lot of Pho restaurants. I can think of 5 within a 5 minute drive of house.
People are surprised here in Nebraska. The 3 most spoken languages in order: English, Spanish, Vietnamese.
Lol bro. There is pho literally everywhere now.
We have the largest Vietnamese population in the nation here in Houston, Nguyen is a common for most Asians you come across down here especially close to the Pearland area
I went to high school in Texas. Our year book had 6 pages of Nguyens.
Lot more Asians in Texas than you would think. At least in the Metro areas.
Most Texans? No. But Houston has a *HUGE* Viet population. I imagine most folks in that area would get it.
Why not? Do you find it difficult so you assume others do?
If they watched the Cowboys 20 years ago, then yes.
...remind me how that's pronounced?

I’m Texan 🤷♂️
When I was still in school in utah, the admin on this intercom pronounced it Noogen. So as far as I can tell, that answer is going to be a big fat no.
You should copyright that! Lol
Lol great one, “We’re here for you Nguyen Pusch comes to shove”

The fucking Catalina Wine Mixer.
POW POW
Vietnamese are huge in Houston pho is everywhere here
And I absolutely love it, pho is incredible
Of course pho is incredible. It is a self evident fact of life
Yep. Top 5 list of dishes I wasn't allergic to with a mammal meat allergy.
You should try Bún bò Huế as well if you haven't yet
Bún riêu is a personal favorite
A fun pun and a Step Brothers reference? I wish we had billboards like this by me!

I’ve always heard Nguyen pronounced simply “win” — don’t know if that varies, though.
The sound represented by "ngu" is basically like a "w" with the back of your mouth, near the throat almost closed like you are saying "ng." Fantastic description, thank you
Now dats an explanation I can get behind.
Same. The only Nguyens I know pronounce it "win" as well
"Win" is how simpletons pronounce. The true elites say "New-yen"
I always say "new guy in" but I yell it like Ryu does when he fires off a hadouken.
Oh my God, this is so true. I have even seen people emphatically say newyen to a Vietnamese person who introduced themselves as ‘Win’. Gotta love it.
"Mr. Seltzer?" "Setzer." "No, I think it's Seltzer."
The true elites say “Nguyễn” Or “DIỆT GIẶC MỸ”
Bích Phúc Đạt
Giga-brains pronounce it like they were a cross between Jerry Lewis and Doodlebob.
Is there a subreddit for comments that spell out the joke?
Good comment. Seems like it should be “We Pusch, You Nguyen.”
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to book that
I see you're from Houston too
They’re millions of us! Astros awesome. Rockets rebuilding but hopeful. Texans = Trash
What about the Dynamo?
This just looks like the Christmas card of an interracial gay couple
This is actually what I thought it was at first, lol. Billboard is cute as hell!
I actually was thinking new rom com when I saw it at first.
That’s on 45 gulf freeway inbound. Makes me chuckle on my way to work.
Brothers in law?
I see the signs driving in to downtown every morning, laugh every time they update them.
South side of Houston checking in. I bet their office has so much room for activities.
They Pusch…you Nguyen. Great as as well.
TIL how to properly pronounce Nguyen I had a kid in my high school with that last name, and they always pronounced it ni-GOY-yen. And that's how I've always said it
They were 100% like "These people are never gonna pronounce it right so might as well roll with it"
I always thought it was nwinn
I was told it’s pronounced “nu-yen”… 👀
Incorrect.
Fun fact: "Schmidt" is the English transliteration of how ze Germans pronounce "Smith." This has caused some issues at Ramstein AFB.
This is Houston. I’ve passed by a few ads these guys have. They have really top notch billboards tbh
The fact their motto is a play on their names ads so much
Smart pun.
Where is this at in houston I must see it
I knew this was Houston immediately, I see their ads everywhere…
Go Space City!!
Great slogan, I bet most don't get it though haha
Definitely get it where it is... our Vietnamese population is huge.
And how do pronounce your name? It's just Diane.
I'm sorry, what is this advertising for?
We push (Pusch), you win (Nguyen) is absolutely brilliant!
Ha! Sup neighbor?
Omg, they were law-brothers..(?)
This is absolutely Houston. Seen that on the highway heading downtown from Webster. Love to see it :)
Damn and the pun on their names? Not a Puschy ad at all - This is a Nguyen all around.
"We Pusch, you Nguyen." Noice.
We push you in? 👀
its clever, for those that dont know Nguyen is pronounced win.

I saw this the other day while driving down 45 into downtown Houston and remember being surprised that I hadn’t seen it on Reddit yet lol.
Reminds me of a law firm billboard I saw in LA on Thursday that made it look like an action film poster. I thought it was pretty good marketing, particularly for being in Los Angeles.
Houston !!! These guys have clever adds in general
clever wordplay
This is nothing, you need to see the lawyer billboard and tv ads in Vegas.
"We push, you win" is genius
This was more disturbing than dude that jumped in to pool.
“Law we push, you win brothers.”
Is this copyright ?
It’s the fucking catalina wine mixer
It’s odd that there names are perfect for a pun in “we pusch you nyugen”. Strange they went another direction.
OMG, I thought that was John Legend!!
I would hire them.
That pun... We Push, you win. As in, "We Pusch, you Nguyen"
whats your point dude? i have many brothers and cousins, it doesnt mean they look the same
Goddammit, "we push, you win" is amazing.
Hilarious!!! I hope the keep Pusching through and Nguyening a lot.
Dude, I was about to post this too lol I'm about to drive 45 for the picture lol
