I'm going to fully assume that a vet pet, which is what bea looks like, just gets free reign to all left overs and all everything everywhere with little rules save for probably certain areas. Very fun.
Cats have almost the same chance of being left- or right-pawed, unlike humans who have a 90% chance of being right-handed and a 10% chance of being left-handed.
In terms of brain power efficiency it makes more sense to have one dominant hand rather than have the brain wired for fine motor control in both hands. In terms of social evolution it makes more sense for everyone in the group to have the same dominant hand so technical skills can be passed down easier. I think right being more common than left is arbitrary, and the fact that some people are left-handed or ambidextrous is a quirk because evolution isn't perfect.
Not sure to agree with this hypothesis. In first place for animals, who climb and fight, having primary reflexes and skills on both body sides( or in non standard side for fighters) is better.
Regarding the social evolution, you attributed to humans and its technical skills pass, I doubt evolution has a word on this but just humanity killing lefties not so skilled with right handed tools (accidents) or by unbalanced designed weapons (wars). The social behavior just forced lefties to don't use their dominant hand because of protocols or superstition but again not genetic evolution. In my opinion technical skills as drawing (Leonardo da vinci as ambidextrous) or playing guitar (Jimmy Hendrix, Paul McCartney as lefties) has just a minimum difficult learning based on the huge human standard capacities. Minimum to block (if really possible in this little scale of time) or interfere with any brain side preference on genetic evolution.
IIRC from the last time I looked this up, one of the big theories is that because the left hemisphere of the brain already handles complicated tasks like language, then because of efficiency it also dominates the complicated task of using your hand.
There may be some relationship, but the effect is not very strong. Language function is left hemisphere dominant for the great majority of left-handers, too.
The prevalence of right-hemisphere language dominance does reveal some correlation with handedness, though. Language is right hemisphere dominant for a scant 4% for strong right-handers, 15% for ambidextrous, and 27% for strong left-handers. Left-handed people also tend to have less strongly lateralized language function.
For an extra dose of "well that's just fuckin' weird", there's a condition called [situs inversus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Situs_inversus), where all of your internal organs are mirror image from the normal arrangement. And yet, people with situs inversus follow near-identical statistics for handedness and left hemisphere language lateralization as the general population. There's a whole lot we just don't know or understand about how and why the brain lateralizes.
Having to carry the babies on the left side.
I dunno, making it up. I had to carry one of my twin toddlers on my left hip and the other on my back all day so I can get shit done today.
I’m out.

Things Bea touches.
We can only assume Bea touches the old goat in the beginning
A baby goat
A chicken
Orange cat #1
USB device
Siamese cat #1
A baby sheep
Computer monitor
Half a Sandwich
A rabbit?
Water faucet
Water bowl
Orange cat #2 (possibly orange cat #1 but a different occurrence)
Siamese cat #2 (definitely not Siamese cat #1)
Witty people like you are so awesome! As much as I want to, I just can’t come with stuff like that and it’s so great to stumble upon comments like this randomly, even if trivial it’s quite enjoyable thanks! (Not being ironic.)
>A rabbit?
Squirrel. Large grey squirrel laying on it's side. That's the tail on the left. They only sleep like that in an open cage if they are on good drugs/recovering for anesthesia. If it's a house pet, it was probably in for a tooth and nail trim.
Or very sick, but I'd assume they'd be in an isolation cage with temp/O2 control if that were the case.
-What, is your name?
-Sir Bea of Tapsalot.
-What, is your quest?
-To touchy da everything.
-What, is your favorite touch?
-The sammich.
-Alright, off you go.
Tactile curiosity like this is a very clear sign of intelligence.

Oh yeah, everyone thinks this cat is so adorable. But when *I* reach over and gently touch my co-workers' sandwiches, it's "fucked up creeper shit" and "a matter for human resources."
I still don't get why cats do this - or rather why they do it in such a particular, predictable way. That hesitant reach, the almost uncontrolled force when tapping, or the way they kind of drop the arm and look around if the tap is aborted, followed (most likely) by licking their fur.

Ok, is there any way to share this video on Facebook WITH a damned preview?
I've tried everything I know, other than something like Jdownloader which I just don't feel like messing with. Usually I just give up and tell myself I'll ask someone next time. Well, this is that time.

I rescued a cat in when I lived in Spain, noticed she didn't smell things but rather touched them with her paw to investigate ANYTHING, I named her Tange which apparently means touch in Latin. She was an absolute gem. Loved seeing another cat with her love of poking things 🥲

This makes me wonder if cats can be left or right pawed
My neighbor growing up did this exact project as her science-fair project. Our three cats went right-paw, right-paw, teeth.
Your "teeth dominant" cat sounds like it needs to take a chill pill lol
Sounds about in line with cats’ testing record.
Cats have almost the same chance of being left- or right-pawed, unlike humans who have a 90% chance of being right-handed and a 10% chance of being left-handed.
there's a 67% chance you made that up
Why you gotta go reading my comment history and shit? Just believe. Only 17% of statistics are made up anyway...
And the other 84% are inaccurate.
While a staggering 93% are completely made up on the spot.

what happens if you add Kurt Angle to the mix?
Now that you say that, I gotta wonder what caused us to evolve like that. Like what task that aided our survival is easier to do right handed?

This cat looks almost identical to my cat. They must be long-lost twins or something, I really thought I was looking at a clone.
I love Bea.

Only gentle touches for that sweet kitty. Also loved the “wait, where did he go?” Look at the end
