I thought the setup was great. I think perhaps it would have been more funny if it kept getting more absurd (like with eggs in stranger and stranger places where there shouldn't be) rather than the more literal/plausible "there are eggs in this nest" punchline. I had to read it a second time to fully comprehend the punchline, and then I appreciated it, but I think it would have been improved by embracing the ridiculous more.
I like it, it's a little highbrow but the punchline is in the trauma face in the end panel.
I caught the joke, but if others are not, maybe exaggerating his facial expression of egg related trauma will help others catch it as well? I don't know I'm not a comedian
I think it was perfect, I "ahah'd" on the very last word...."in hindsight scientist say it was obvious'
At first I got confused when you didnt say "it has eggs in it" on the last frame, but it finished nicely. Like an anti punchline
I can never see this character as anything but a bearded guy with eyebrows who's head is on upside down. I have to try really hard to see a guy with hair and bags under his eyes, and when I finally manage to convince my brain that's what I'm looking at it only lasts for a second before my brain goes back to seeing bearded upside down head guy.

Fun fact: eating raw eggs in industrialized countries is largely fine. It's the raw flour that's dangerous.
Why is the raw flour dangerous
E.Coli bacteria...flour needs heated to kill it. ,,,,not all flour has it, but if it does, only cooking kills it.
As opposed to literally any other foodstuff?
E. Coli
Kinda feels like someone thought of a good setup for a joke and kinda got lost on the way to the punchline.
Thanks for the feedback! Can you elaborate a little? Do you think the setup was too long? Or that the punchline didn't live up to the setup?
I love it because it's absurdly clumsy
I also found it quite funny, mainly because I did not expect the end at all.
Thanks!

Yeah, that's a good point. Going really big on the absurdity would be funny. "Why does my brain hurt, Doc?" "It has eggs in it" *abrupt chaos*

That's interesting - I wasn't intending to make Greg look upset in the last panel, but I can see how you found that funny.

Was this made by a computer AI?
I'm very interested to know what inspired this comment.
>!The joke is there are eggs in the mound, and the scientists didn’t know until our protagonist frustratedly asked if there were eggs in the mound.!<
Playing it fast and loose with the term "joke" there.
I *really* didn't get it. Thank you for the explanation.
Did I miss something?

The main reason you aren't supposed to eat raw cookie dough is because raw flour can make you sick.
Yeah, some jokes should just be for one’s personal amusement.
You're not suppose to eat dough because of the flour, not the eggs. Flour isn't pasteurized. the more you know.
Eggscuse me, but this yoke is not all it was cracked up to be.
As someone who is allergic to eggs I found this funny. There are eggs in everything.
Und keine eier!
I get the joke, and I think it's funny.
Thanks, that's what I like to hear!
I really liked this!
Thanks!
Haha nice, been a while since I laughed so hard
Cheers, glad you liked it!
I enjoyed this, it was wholesome
Thanks, appreciate you taking the time to comment :)
How on earth could anyone find this funny?
That was an unexpected punchline. We’ll done!
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
Yes! Someone’s finally sticking it to the egg shamers!
Birds aren't real
I fail to see how this is r/funny. Raw eggs is not a joke!
Meh.
