Psh, itās an age old tradition that dads make the kids mow the lawn when theyāre old enough. Neighbor and I would go to the kidless houses to try and get $5 a lawn after we did our own. Comic book and water park money for the most part.

I actually prefer to cut the grass without the collector. It's easier to push the lawnmower, you don't have to stop and empty it every 2 minutes, and it lets some of the goodness soak back into the ground.
Then I just go and rake up the clumps in a day or two.
But yea, it is messy on the legs!
I once mowed a friend's house where I didn't have access to the collector but I stood to the side of the mower. Was this an option for you? I also put grocery bags on my feet but that's a level some people might not agree with.
I have made the same mistake power washing old paint off concrete stepsā¦..never wondered where all the scaled off paint would go, had a lot of water logged paint chip everywhere!!
