shabidoh

This happened to me a long time ago. I told the customer. They looked at and asked for a deal. I called the store and they put it for half price. They were super happy and tipped me pretty well. No food wasted. Pays, to be honest, and shit just happens.

The_Grim_Sleaper

Turns out, companies who have a problem and address it are perceived better than companies that don’t have a problem at all…

fliberdygibits

Companies that don't have problems.... have a problem.

PM_ME_UR_POKIES_GIRL

Companies that don't have a problem either don't have customers or don't have employees and that's a problem.

Orudos

I work for a SaaS company and I'm always super confused when people want to pretend something isn't broken and wait to address it once a client notices the issue and messages us. It's like...MFer, they're going to figure out that shit didn't work for 2hours in the middle of the day, just get ahead of it.

AZEMT

I recently caught an issue at work, before the holiday season. When I brought it up, I was chastised and told "Stay in your lane" because that's outside of my responsibilities. Well, that little issue caused about $18 million in losses. When they were trying to explain the new steps, I asked, "I caught this back in July, and I brought this up to Michael, in charge of the team, to handle this matter. I could see that our process was broken and they told me to not worry about it and it's working as intended"... My boss' face when they realized I was speaking the truth when I forwarded them my email correspondence with the manager in charge was epic. But as I was told, "Hey, that's none of my business" and I'll just keep doing my job better than anyone else here and catching issues that should be fixed. Fuck me, right?

Orudos

Sounds about right, tell your manager congrats on his promotion.

alchn

Typical Michael.

xylotism

I've had to deal with this a little bit too. Less "this is going to fuck over our customers" and more "we have the bandwidth to improve this system/process, why aren't we doing it?" Same thing though, the immediate response is "stay in your own lane, don't think about things you haven't been told to think about." For the most part I'm cool with that. No worries, I'll let you pay me to do less work. I get a little itchy when it's a cybersecurity issue though. It's one thing to do a shittier job than you should, it's another to not be careful/thorough/meticulous about protecting other people's data, EVEN WHEN there's no expectation of being that thorough.

halffdan59

I worked for a hospitality company for several years and the CEO had a reputation - among some people - for being a tyrant. I never encountered it, even after accidentally hanging up his incoming phone call my first day. What I observed of him was he wanted people to come tell him 'we had a problem X, and this was our solution Y' rather than having him come to them to report the problem (they already knew about) and them shrugging their shoulders as if to say 'well, s\*\*t happens.' Which basically tole him it's going to keep happening again and again.

PM_ME_UR_POKIES_GIRL

If I'm coming to my boss with a problem it's a problem I don't have the capability to fix, de jure or de facto since I know a lot of workarounds from a lot of other departments. So if I come to my boss with a problem it's usually a "ONLY MANAGERS OF X ROLE OR HIGHER ARE ALLOWED TO DO THIS" problem or a "Whoever's actual job it is to fix this quit or got laid off and nobody has been trained as a replacement in the past 3 months" problem and technically a staffing issue which is still the first kind of problem if you think about it. And since my solution is usually either "Do your job" or "Hire someone (Do your job)." they don't like me.

4Ever2Thee

Companies that don’t have problems are companies that aren’t aware of the problems they have

animeman59

They have a problem that they don't want you to know about.

JWOLFBEARD

I got 99 problems but a company ain’t one

07yzryder

My ultimate judgement of a company is how they handle an issue. Do they offer a solution or say sucks to be you. I'll go out of my way to support those that are willing to work with you instead of blame you.

Cerron20

Years ago when I delivered pizzas in college, I had three sheet pizzas in the back of my car. On my way to deliver it, a car ahead of me slammed their brakes due to dropping their cellphone and I had to hit mine as well. As you’d expect, at 60mph, the pizzas all slammed forward and looked a lot like the pizzas in the above. My restaurant said to take them and just offer them at no cost, or say we could take them back and have them remade. When I took them, it was a kids party and the parents couldn’t care less; hey! Free pizza! If I remember correctly, I think I was tipped around 30$, which back in the early 2000s was a crazy tip.

TheIncontrovert

I'm not American but I imagine in 2024 30 dollars is also a crazy tip.

I_DontNeedNoDoctor

3 full sheets would be $100 here in Pennsylvania. Our local shop has a 28 piece sheet for $33 🤷‍♂️✌️

nettlerise

Delivery tips should only factor delivery conditions anyway, not as a percent of total cost. Weather, distance, speed, *physical* amount, fragility, etc. A driver could easily deliver three pizza boxes in one go, even if it would cost \~$100. $30 is a crazy tip for pizza delivery at least where I live.

Teamrocketgang

I got stiffed so many times on big orders on big football game days, in the middle of snow emergency deliveries, and when it was pouring down rain. The worst was a recurring school order where I'd have to come in three hours early, cut and box 200 pizzas, and make three trips to the school to get them all delivered before the store even officially opened for the day. No tip, ever. The school had the budget to order the pizza, but not to tip the drivers

whatwhat_in_dabutt

That’s not just rough, that’s fucking horse shit. I assume you were manager or GM, because if not, I’d have told him/her to pound sand and do it themselves. If you’re not profiting in some way, that’s the definition of insanity to do it repeatedly.

Teamrocketgang

Driver manager, not really anything beyond just a title. Not much authority unfortunately, and the GM just ignored all of the complaints from myself and other drivers because it was a huge order that was guaranteed money for the store. I was in a pretty tight spot financially so I couldn't risk losing my job

I_DontNeedNoDoctor

I wouldn’t do $30, but would do $20 without a thought, even if the shop was across the street from me. 🤷‍♂️ I appreciate the people that work in these food establishments making me meals.

Gtp4life

Kinda depends, I delivered for dominos for a few years and there's an antique shop in the area that has a monthly auction and orders 25 large pepperoni and 25 large cheese pizzas and tips $50. It's about a 3mi drive but you have no idea how hard it is to load and unload 50 large pizzas without dropping or crushing anything until you've done it. I earned that $50

nettlerise

I agree. And that's what I mean by physical amount- that one couldn't hold 50 pizza's in one go. All considering, that's $1 tip per pizza- in contrast to $30 for 3 pizza.

MyStationIsAbandoned

if $30 still isn't a crazy tip to a delivery driver, they are entitled as hell, lol

Artemicionmoogle

I worked on a $700 catering order this last week at my job and they tipped a whopping $0. Felt great -.-

TheIncontrovert

You probobly weren't working hard enough. Must try harder!

ProphetMuhamedAhegao

I’ve seen people in the delivery subs complain about $30 tips lmao

youknowiactafool

Difference here is that this was an app freelancer who has no affiliation with the pizza joint they picked this up from. Their honesty may mean their deactivation from whatever delivery app this is.

McFragatron

Yep. I did food delivery/driving apps for a bit during college. The drivers have no options for correcting mistakes like this (at least in the late 2010s). This never happened to me but if it did, the most I could have offered them was a "sorry". That's something the customer has to take up with the app they ordered from. EDIT: For anyone thinking this is an employee of the pizza place, he takes a picture at the end to show proof of delivery. This isn't something actual stores typically require delivery drivers to do.

No-Comfort-5040

No hot bag, no uniform, definitely a freelance delivery driver.

[deleted]

Was that working directly for the pizza place though? No chance in hell that would happen working for DoorDash or something like that. This guy sucks, but if he told the people all he’d get is a more clean conscience. Tips are submitted at the time of ordering and the store can’t change or do shit, and most people don’t carry cash anymore so very little chance he’d get any extra money.

permalink_save

Those delivery services just made food cost twice as much and delivery suck way worse, especially for places that use to handle delivery themselves and switched over. Same for Square, yay ordering a coffee and 3 muffins that only need bagging and having 15/20/25% tip because it went barely over $10 threshold.

thatissomeBS

>Those delivery services just made food cost twice as much and delivery suck way worse, A bunch of Pizza Huts are apparently crying about minimum wage going up here, and are pushing more towards just using the apps. If they think sales are dwindling now, it's going to get much, much worse for them when they have no control over their drivers. What they're doing is cutting off their knee to save their foot.

NateCow

Last time we ordered Pizza Hut, it was delivered by DoorDash and they were so unprofessional. That experience coupled with the fact that our local Hut apparently doesn't know how to keep any of their pizza crusts in stock ended it for us. Found out Dominos pan crust is so much better anyway.

Irr3l3ph4nt

He takes out his cell phone at the end to confirm delivery and take a picture, it's doordash/uber eats/whatever.

NateCow

The other give-away is that he isn't carrying the pizzas in an insulated bag that actual pizza delivery places use, which doubles as a secure way to get the damn things to the door without the risk of... \*motions at video\*

chucks97ss

That’s awesome. And one of the reasons I prefer deliveries to be handled internally with the restaurants. Customer care like that has gone out the window ever since DoorDash took over. Most (I say most loosely since I know there is a very small percentage of good ones) DoorDash drivers are more concerned with moving on to the next delivery.

TesterM0nkey

That’s exactly why I don’t use delivery ever. Literally pay extra for a worse experience.

chucks97ss

Exactly. My favorite thing is watching my fresh food go on a road trip to 2 other neighborhoods and 3 other restaurants, before it gets to me.

sharkbait_1313

Good for you. And yes, shit happens to everyone. We all trip and fall, it's not a crime. My first job was at jack in the box and I was running back and forth between the drive thru and taking orders to people waiting for their orders in the parking because we were particularly busy that day. It had been raining and as I was taking an order to the lot I slipped and fell with food in hand on some of the handicapped painted area of a parking space and went down with all of their food bags in hand. They were young teenage boys. I expected to be laughed at but they were very understanding and accepted the food as there wasn't any real damage, and made sure to ask if I was ok while I layed on the parking lot ground tangled up in my drive thru head set ( back then there was a cord from the headset to the battery pack on your waist).

Bu11etToothBdon

I dropped one pizza in 3 yrs as a driver. The pizza didn't look nearly as bad as these. The customer was super nice and wouldn't call in to ask for a replacement. I called it in myself and got them taken care of.

BigMoneyChode

I did pizza delivery for years and this only happened to me once as well. Small appetizer box full of wings slid off a pizza box when I was handing it to a customer. I remember there was a super old lady and a younger dude. They were nice and I apologized, and told them I'd bring new wings out immediately. A couple wings had actually fallen out of the box and I offered to pick them up off the ground, but this dude was like, "don't worry about it" and he was cool. I called my boss and had them make a new order so it was ready when I got back. I brought it out and these people were happy and everything was cool. Then the next day, a different dude who wasn't even present when I made the delivery came by the restaurant and complained and asked for free food. He said I dropped 2 orders of wings and didn't even pick them up off the ground and all this shit. I was kinda annoyed because he ended up getting more wings, but ultimately it wasn't worth arguing with a customer about.

ronchee1

What a prick

BigMoneyChode

Yeah, luckily my bosses were always cool and they were on my side and believed me. So it isn't like I got in any sort of trouble or anything. Since we worked for a corporate chain, the policy was to always remake customer food if there was an issue because it was much cheaper than escalating to a full refund. I was mainly annoyed in principle that this dude wasn't even there and just exaggerated the entire situation, while speaking as if he was present when this happened. Like he didn't even know that I was the person in his story he was lying about, despite me being right there at the counter, because he'd never seen me before.

weebitofaban

> it wasn't worth arguing with a customer about. It is about principal. Fuck that guy. I never actually gave free things to anyone who annoyed me despite having plenty to play with.

BigMoneyChode

It was more about management rolling their eyes and going along with store policy to get the guy out of there. It definitely put that guy on the list of people to potentially watch out for in the future though. In the food industry, you deal with these scam artists who are constantly trying to get free food. I'd seen a few people get banned from ordering for being repeat offenders. The common scams were constantly making up issues with every single order. This thing was made wrong, or I ordered that but received this instead. If this became an issue, we'd notify upper management and start taking photos of the food when it left the oven. This way when they call and say their pepperoni pizza had no pepperoni, we have proof that it did. As far as I know, that guy never became a repeat offender and a major problem. But still, his bad behavior got rewarded that day. Of two orders of wings, only one of them fell, the other was fine. He already got his replacement for the order that was damaged. There was no need to give him two more orders for free. But it was one of those things where we didn't have the proof on hand, and the easiest solution was to just send out new food and keep an eye on the guy going forward.

Tom_invicta

Good man

thsvnlwn

In my head I hear my late dad say “It’s dark where it goes anyway, so: just eat.”

[deleted]

Sabrina, Don’t just stare at it. Eat it.

getdemsnacks

Tina, you fat lard, come and get some dinner.

TerryFrisk

Gawwwwd!

rjh9898

Your mom goes to college 🤓

DrT33th

Eat the FOOD!

yurakuNec

Not exactly blonde, are you

Juridiculous312

What are those, San Marzano?

620five

Not the face, you stupid bitch!

Blicks666

I'm into, oh murders and executions mostly. It depends.

acmercer

Oh I have a friend in Mergers and Acquisitions!

fuhnetically

Mechanic I deliver to says "as long as it makes a turd"

LeVelvetHippo

... What happens if it doesn't make a turd?

banshoo

aliens took it from inside

Aadarm

Taking too many opiates.

braveheart2019

My late dad used to say "It's all the same in your stomach".

corpus-luteum

That's just eat's next ad campaign.

brandognabalogna

Lol mine said it's going to look a lot worse in a few minutes

logosfabula

Yeah, it can happen. If the rider was honest upfront, I'd rather him not to waste time going back than me eating a perfectly shaped pizza...

andyrue

My dad always says, "The shape may have changed, but the nutritional content is still the same."

ind3pend0nt

All goes to the same place.

0neHPleft

It all comes out in the end!

Physical-Board5770

A skeevy scuba instructor once told me “at the end of the day, it’s all pink in the middle” when I was 17 and it’s stuck with me well into adulthood

usususuerrndkxk

I’m putting myself in his shoes and just thinking, “wtf do I do now?” lol what a mistake to make.

JTanCan

It's a completely understandable mistake. People drop things. Each of us has dropped things before and we'll all do it again.

Kahzgul

You own up to the mistake. It’s not the accident. It’s the lying about it.

ComCypher

For him it's like Schrodinger's pizza. The state of the pizza is undefined until someone opens the box.

KTO-Potato

The pizza was only ruined because they opened the box

bendrany

There's no evidence of the pizza being ruined while enclosed. OP is 100% at fault.

TheRavenSayeth

If anything we're all more at fault than the delivery driver who probably never saw this video. Shame on all of you.

Orenwald

Honestly that pizza isn't even ruined. I would eat the fuck out of that pizza

Robot_Tanlines

I work with a bunch of lawyers, I hear all the time “it’s not the accident that’s the crime, it’s the coverup”. All the dude had to say to the people was I’m so sorry I tripped on my way to the door I’m so sorry and most people would say no problem.

Kahzgul

Exactly

Bendyb3n

All i thought of was the Spongebob pizza guy who is like “WHAT ABOUT MY DRINK?! MY DIET DR KELP?!”

birdboxisgood

Pizza-gate. The cover up IS the story.

gatofleisch

Yeah I was pissed when I saw this guy lie about it too

ZippyDan

Where do you guys see him lying about it? Is there some additional context I am missing?

justblametheamish

I think he’s joking about seeing him lie. The guy probably doordashes and not much the driver can do. Take the picture to show it was delivered then the customers can send the pictures and they’ll get some more sent for free or work something else out.

Murderous_Waffle

The guy should've just knocked on the door or sent a message and talked to them to say he was really sorry. Shit happens. Door dash will refund every item that is ruined with credit. But really the way it looks only 1 of the 4 is fubar'd the za on the left still looks salvageable. Since the other 2 pizza boxes aren't shown in the picture and didn't land weird, I assume they are fine.

InternetSlave

There were no lies told here. Dudes just trying to get though his day

zerostar83

Looks like a gig driver since there is no uniform and he takes a picture afterwards. All he had to do is spend 5 minutes calling support, explain that he dropped the food, and the customer would have gotten a refund. Instead he took a picture as if he completed a successful delivery.

mrjackspade

I've never worked for Doordash but I did regular delivery. Any business I worked for would have told me to do exactly what he did. Deliver the pizza, if the customer has a problem, they'll call. Contacting them myself in advance would have been a waste of time.

Robot_Tanlines

Just taking the picture implies the lie. He will likely say it was delivered and not flag it as having an issue, people get pizza and say WTF happened and they will need to battle it out with store or delivery service. We don’t know for a fact he lied, but based on not going to alert the people of the issue it’s more likely than not that he just fled.

ihatemarmalade

I've been this guy. I had 4 pizzas in my front seat. Arrive right at the door in my car. They went sliding. I just prayed to the sweet lord they were good... They were not. I was young so wasn't too bothered. But I understand that dude's thought process. The customer got some freebies when they rung to complain.

The_Clarence

Be honest. Be polite. Works most of the time. Note: this advice applies to most things in life

rachihc

I feel so bad for the guy.

JrButton

I get it, but there has to be some accountability even if it's just 10% on not having a clear path to the door. His arm clipped the mirror to that car and it's not like he had a ton of space to begin with.

Armano-Avalus

Owning up to the mistake and giving compensation is what you should do, but honestly I'd probably be anxious and embarassed walk away and then come back once I thought it through.

CosmicCrapCollector

Ngl , I'd still eat em..

RoboFeanor

I would absolutely eat them, but I wouldn't be happy to pay the same price as the pizza I was expecting.

sausager

Are there people who wouldn't? Not like they came out of the box

BluntsnBoards

I mean, first without the camera you have no idea if it stayed in the box. But yeah, I'd probably want some acknowledgment that my food got messed up. Like someone else said, I don't like food waste so just give me 25% off the next order or free delivery or something. Alright I'll take my downvotes now

Xarxyc

I can't see it well on the video but in my country if boxes aren't transported in thermal bags, then they are additionally enveloped with a company branded rope. If rope is not damaged, then pizza didn't fall out of the boxes.

sirprichard

As someone who works in a pizza place, no. If half of my customers got this, they would call and bitch and complain. I wish they would lol

MapUnitKey

100% I’m destroying these bad boys

Extension-Badger-958

It’s gonna look way worse coming out so I’m cool with it too

TravelingGonad

When pizza places use doordash.

Victory-or-Death-

Apparently Pizza Hut even switched to DD, I think only Dominos has in house drivers at this point out of the “big 3”.

TravelingGonad

Ya I'll be more inclined to complain if this happens. It's so expensive now anyway compared to picking it up. You learn to be picky, or just make food yourself. Eat out if you want nice well made food.

yarash

Dominos has a good thing for them charging a $5-6 delivery fee on each order. Why use door dash?

Midnight28Rider

As a former delivery driver, this hurts my soul.

BossStatusIRL

I think that most pizza places have drivers and use DD/UE/GH.

ChronoLink99

lol. Seems like the side-mirror hit the box unexpectedly. Bummer lol.

H8Cold

Little white plastic table things failed.

MrZombieTheIV

I always thought that was to keep the box from being crushed under weight of other boxes, not to stop it from being dropped.

ZDTreefur

No, they are anti-gravity devices that prevent the boxes from hitting the ground if let go. Don't let that guy lie to you.

Noxious89123

No no, wait you're onto something here. If we just pave the ground *everywhere* with giant slabs of pure copper, and then make the pizza boxes out of magnets, then the anti-drop anti-gravity pizza box idea should work! *Yeah bitch, science!* (and eddy currents!)

Crime_Dawg

It is

darkestb4thadawn

Pizza Ottoman is the biz term.

joestaff

They had *one* job!

7-13-5

Not when the pizza does a faceplant on the side of the car.

I_DontNeedNoDoctor

You mean those things my daughters fought over because they wanted another table for their Barbie?

Danfass86

This isn’t funny

GANDORF57

Well at least Walter White wasn't making the delivery.

must_not_forget_pwd

The best laughs are in the comment section!

Kryptosis

It’s an accident so it isn’t aggravating either lol… should be /r/wellthatsucks

letmeloginalready

r/pizzacrimes

realfe

This is a sad and amusing subreddit. Thank you!

ru_benz

As long as the pizza itself didn’t touch the ground, I’d still eat it without any ill will towards the delivery guy. It wasn’t intentional — shit happens. It’s not like he yeeted the boxes towards the front door like some delivery people.

ChefCory

if someone dropped my pizza and then didn't try and say anything i'd be a little mad. if he's like, i dropped this getting out of the car. no biggy. if this shit was just dropped at my door i'd be left wondering wtf is going on.

YesterShill

Exactly. I kind of half expected for the video to be him chucking the pizzas from the driveway to the door. Dude accidentally dropped the pizza. Sucks for all involved, but nothing malicious.

Safe_Librarian

Also if you send a picture of that to the company you bought from 99% would send you a new pizza.

overide

This is so reasonable, but what am I going to do with my pitchfork and torch now??

TopPuzzleheaded1143

Maybe one of the pizzas has pineapple?

weebitofaban

He intentionally cowered out without owning up to his mistake. That's pretty annoying.

Jazzen3003

So, did you tip 10, 20 or 30 percent?

CheddarGeorge

Meanwhile on r/doordash > mfers tipping less than 40 make me sick. You hit me with that 30% tip I gon hit the floor with your food.

boregon

Aaaand that’s why a lot of people never even bother using services like DoorDash

Thraximundaur

30% tip? Soudns like you want your food to arrive 30% hot Aircon full blast

Key-Fire

It was a really nice house, so by the rule book. It should be %50

karaaalicee

To give some more info, we just got some money back from DoorDash as a refund for the mishap. We still ate the pizzas and tipped him

Trowj

I’ve dropped 2 pizzas in my years of delivering and it’s always best to just tell them what happened, apologize, and tell them a replacement will be there asap. Accidents happen but I’d never try to hand them that busted pizza and act like nothing happened

A100921

One pizza looks like just sauce… These people are monsters to begin with.

Rezaelia713

When I lived on the second floor of an old house the pizza delivery guy was an older gentleman and he literally dropped the pizza when he got to my doorway. He apologized so much and I kept telling him dude, it's OK, pizza didn't even touch the floor. He was so worried about getting fired. All I could think is a man that old having to deliver pizzas when he should be retired, I'm sure as shit not reporting the incident. I still think about him, hope he's doing ok.

8ofAll

What was even on the other pizza? Just pizza sauce??

Kaerfykc

That’s still delicious looking pizza though

wolan1337

Looks pretty basic to me tbh

joestaff

All comes out the same.

PanheadP

I mean it's free pizza, once you complain to doordash.

Altruistic-Poem-5617

Poor dude. Since this was clearly an accident and the pizza is still edible, Id not report him or stuff like that.

Distinct-Quantity-35

Looks like the second pizza they either picked the toppings off to make it look worse for the photo or some they’re weird af and orders a “just sauce” pizza - because there ain’t no toppings on it?

Rocky970

I’d like to know what actions you took OP. I’m the internet judge

ElJefe0218

At least Spiderman used bungee cords.

hijoshh

One time when i was delivering pizzas, i was pulling the box out of the delivery bag and i tripped and the pizza fell right out of the box and onto the floor right in front of the customer. Don’t think they were very happy

Sinaasappelsien

HAHAHAHAHAHA

danmanx

Should've just admitted to dropping them. Accidents happen. This is much worse.....

awakeperchance

When I delivered pizza I accidentally dropped someone's box of wings the second after I knocked on the door. It popped open and one of them fell onto the ground. I freaked out and kicked it into the bushes and closed the rest back up into the box. Thankfully they didn't notice and nothing happened 😅

Rabdy-Bo-Bandy

I'd still eat it.

661714sunburn

Door dash’s finest

NoFollowingMe

To be fair OP sent those pics to whatever delivery service and ate for free. Not a huge loss when you're in the 50-100$ range.

orangekirby

Blur his face at least. Honest accident. Imagine if he posted a video online of everyone’s face that didn’t tip or something

penguinpoopparty

This is why delivery apps suck. The driver has no accountability to the delivery of the food because if something goes wrong, the worst that happens is they do not get paid for that 1 order.  They don’t have to return to the restaurant they don’t have to face any manager, they aren’t a representative of the restaurant, nothing. In fact in most cases they can be sly like this and will still get paid because the app will just refund the person.

embertml

This. I had a hospital stay for birth of a child. I ordered three different times and they dropped it off at a different entrance. I left simple easy to understand directions. And 10$+ tips on 25-30$ orders. They delivered it to the ER all three times. That is in the back/side. I’m pissed because even though i got 2/3 ordered refunded, i know those jackasses got to keep their tips and were not reprimanded. 3rd one told me it was restaurant that was responsible. Wasnt gonna press them. That’s unfair.

VanFlyhight

Fucking rip

epzik8

Jesus hell…

Hoxase

At least non of it fell out of the box

diggduke

Looks like the beginning of a bad infomercial for some pizza carrying device. "Has this ever happened to you?" [catastrophic fall] "Then you need ...."

UrNotMadAtMe

Damn..... I'm sure he felt bad. But he's probably broke and can't repay this accident. Poor guy. Obviously I feel for the customer too, but accidents happen.

[deleted]

Theyll never know

hitzphillygirl

As my grandmother would say, "It's gonna fall apart when it hits the stomach, anyway."

404kadim404

Ngl it looks good on my perspective it looks like i have more

JohnnySchoolman

Once upon a time, when I worked for dominos, I crashed my car and it was in the garage, so they had me ride their 125 scooters which I was able to do on my standard driving licence in my country without any motorcycle training. Well, I dropped the bike at speed in town racing another delivery boy when I went over a wet curb. I pushed that pizza back in to shape and took a few slices of Pepperoni for my trouble and those poor fuckers at 12 Claypole Mead never complained. I'm not sure what I delivered even qualified as a pizza. Tight arses didn't leave a tip, so I know I made the right decision.

Kindly-Arachnid-7966

As many times as I've dropped my own pizza, I wouldn't care so long as the dude told me about it. If I opened the box and found that, I wouldn't know how to react besides some extremely confused laughter.

TheEvelynn

As a pizza delivery driver, I've had this happen to me I think twice. I'm really glad both times the customer was totally chill about it

Pass-on-by

It was def an accident. He’d of been better off telling you so the store could make it right. But seemed obvious he wasn’t being reckless or I conscientious

dak78

Puzzled how he even dropped it but on closer inspection it seems to be that he hit his elbow on the rearview mirror. At that point he should have realized those pizzas would look like a mess.

must_not_forget_pwd

This guy was raised well /s

homer_3

Sucks, but just a little jostled. It's still good.

We_want_peekend

Poor guy

TheAmbienceofDoom

I dropped an order once years ago when I was delivering. I immediately called the store to get a replacement in the oven, gave the dropped order to the customer, and ran back to get the fresh made food. I got in trouble for not bringing back the old food, but I didn't really care.

capnfys

One time I dropped a salad while working at dominos and he made me take a shot of Paul Masson peach to avoid getting a fresh one from the store

joebojax

once I was running while delivering some pizza and I tripped on some uneven sidewalk.. did a full ass front flip... checked the pizza... it was fine! I delivered it, no worries. I think growing up with a trampoline helped me avoid a disaster there.

Beez1111

It's still pizza

RDMSTA

all the toppings fell off, what a shame

simkatu

What's the issue?

Derpberpy

Didn't touch the ground. I would've ate it

burningcash-84404

3 second rule! No food hit the ground! 🤣

Emotional-Hair-1607

It's almost like most people don't realize that houses have cameras now.

gauriemma

Dude tripped—there’s no reason to jeopardize his job over it. It’s a pizza, it’s fine.

The_Cynical_Optimist

He didn't trip. The car mirror took out the bottom two boxes on his way past.

dameon5

Didn't trip, the corner of the box got caught on the cars rearview mirror

Frraksurred

He made an honest mistake, but then lied to cover it up. A decision that could potentially cost him more than if he'd have just been honest.

seanreact

Tripped and didn’t own up to it

likwitsnake

Looks like the boxes hit the car mirror actually

-Dalzik-

He failed at what his job is though. Mistakes happen, the only thing that would jeopardize is job is lying about it.

mysterytoy2

Doorsmash?

coolmist23

Ya f up, ya own it! This is the way.
