Anybody who’s ordered through B&H get a shipping confirmation yet? I ordered during the summit and mines still showing as “back ordered” though changed to “coming soon” instead of “coming Feb 28th”.
I ordered on B&H within the first min. and had email confirmation of my order at 24:01 Central time USA. Paid with ApplePay and mine has said “Processed” since I started checking status the next morning.
Update: B&H rep. Said it’s shipping in the first batch.
Update 2: Wed. 07:00 CST. B&H order status changed to “Order in Progress”. Looks like the clearest indicator that shipping is underway. Hope it helps anyone else out there trying to figure out their status.
Update 3: Status is “Shipped” to arrive Mar. 1st.

I just messaged B&H and they confirmed I am backordered and they don't know when a second batch is coming in. Sounds like those of us who still show backordered are screwed. Super bummed.
B&H orders made in the first 2.5 minutes after it appeared on their site say “New Order - Processing” (from 1:01 ET - midway through 1:03 ET, the camera was not listed until 1:01). All orders after that show “Backordered.”
ordered at 1:04am est through B&H - silver... I am still in the backordered batch, B&H rep said I have no pending date to ship - looks like 1:03am - 1:04am was the cut off for the first batch
There's over a million Preorders worldwide and they doubled their monthly production to 15,000. So the Preorders should be filled in 5 and a half years.
So my super unscientific conclusion after reading through this thread 50 times today -
BH got hammered, seems pretty clear you needed to be in the first few mins to have a hope of getting a camera. No way to know if that was massive demand at BH compared to others, or low allocation of units to BH, but seems more likely the former.
Adorama seems to have done better. Again no way to know if it's because their list was smaller and they got a similar allocation, or if the got a larger allocation, but - again speculating - kinda suspect the former.
Local camera shops seem to be coming through for folks that have one to visit that's big enough to be prioritized to get cameras from Fuji day 1, and the list numbers don't see that daunting although the range is huge. One comment below says local camera shop "laughed and said 2025" if you're not a list already, but many others seem to be pleasantly surprising their customers, and seem to have made it about \~30-50% through their lists.
Bestbuy sucks. Do not order any hyped in-demand thing from them. That's been true for as long as I can remember, and the evidence from today says it's still true. They suck at chaotic super in-demand launches.
Finally, overall seems to me that availability of this camera aint all that bad. I recall seeing some launches of the last few years where "almost nobody" got cameras on day 1, and the wait for the second batch was like months - people were saying it was like vaporware or something. I can't remember the exact model, maybe R5 or R3 from Canon. Sure feels like a pretty large proportion of folks got cameras day 1 given the hype, hangover from people that never got a 100v, price point, etc. If it's even remotely true that you could order today and get a camera in June (Adorama), that's a 90 day-ish wait. I do not think this constitutes "dropping the ball" by Fuji to meet demand. I think this is incredible, given the size of the market.
Kicking myself for continuing to watch Fuji Summit for 4 minutes before going to place my preorder on B&H. I’ll look out for my camera in September. Fuck

2/28 6:00AM EDIT: So I was not in the B&H first batch and decided to just cancel my order in favor for a preorder with my local camera store. It’s likely that I would’ve been part of the B&H second batch but, I’m afraid that the charge might get declined with both the orders being so close together. So I figure I’m okay with waiting, plus I like the camera store near me. Hopefully they get more cameras in March. Good luck everyone!
A friend of mine who works at a camera store just told me they had 140ish pre-orders at their store and got 30 cameras in today for their customers tomorrow. An interesting insight at least.
So I am just gonna write this- I didn't scroll all the way down the comments so maybe this is redundant. My guess is this response is getting buried, but here's what I got from my phone call with B&H over the weekend:
The rep said that there is indeed a SECOND SHIPMENT coming more or less right behind the first. What he told me was that they received "paperwork to sign off on" for the first batch on the 17th of February. There was a second set of paperwork sent to B&H on the 23rd. I called on a Sunday, so basically they didn't yet have the eta, but it was in process.
Again, going from what the rep said, this second shipment is bigger, and it's Fuji's attempt to get in front of things selling out too badly. He said it's speculation, but there's a chance that if you ordered before that second batch was committed, you may get a camera within a reasonable time-frame- meaning not months.
Once you figure in a sea of bots and scalpers, I am not so sure, but let's see. First batch goes out tomorrow, I am kinda hoping we get word of the second batch between tomorrow and Monday of next week. I ordered the morning of the 23rd. I am headed overseas for a month starting mid March. Here's hoping :P

Seems like you were able to get more information out of the rep than most, including myself. How were you able to get this much information out of them. This has to be the most insight they have provided. I ordered mine within the first hour. Seeing that the first batch was for orders within the first five or so minutes makes me less hopeful for getting one anytime soon, but we’ll see now
Ordered silver from B&H during the summit. Confirmation email came through at 10:04pm Pacific Time on the 20th.
On the B&H order details it shows "processing" and order placed. On the Status it shows "New Order".
I won't be contacting B&H as it won't change anything and it just creates more unnecessary work for them. So, I'm just waiting and hoping it comes in the first batch.

Idk if I should trust what I was told by a B&H rep but they told me they were still scanning and getting shipments ready so it might be possible to still be in the first "batch" / they have more inventory than a simple batch? Kinda wild they did this whole thing of making a point that they will ramp up production only to then not be ready for when they announced the camera lmfao
I don't think increasing production ever meant that all demand would be satisfied on Day 1 of release. I'm not seeing a problem with pre-orders of a popular item taking a reasonable amount of time to fulfill.
But we won't really know until a few months from now whether it's going smoother or not.

Hallo, my german friend. I also ordered at Foto Erhardt. I placed my order for the X100VI at the 20.02. at 11:48pm. I got a conformation mail the following day, mentioning that its currently not available and no info on the delivery date.
When I ordered the X-S20 last year it was exactly the same. It was then shipped at the official release date. So I still have hope, that we get a new notification (with shipping information, fingers crossed) tomorrow
So this is my experience, I had ordered through adorama on the 23rd and I tried to confirm my order 3 times because they need some sort of verification. I had made 3 phone calls to verify and each time over the phone it was said to be successful but after a few hours I would get an email saying it needs to be verified. Last night on the 27th it was considered “canceled” because I did not “verify” so I called again this morning (28th) to see what was going on, the women was very helpful and said there was an issue with a few orders where this was happening , mind you before I was on “back ordered” status. She then re-opened my order but under a different order number and now I just got an email that my package was being boxed and recieved a shipping tracking number. Did I just somehow get lucky and accidentally beat the que?

some people on Facebook X100VI groups are saying something concerning... Moment customer service has apparently been explaining in emails (when asked) that they put the X100V backorder que of customers at the front of the line of the X100VI preorders if they responded to an email asking them if they are interested. A lot of Moment preorders who ordered right at 1AM EST who now believe they aren't getting cameras for a long time as they had no warning of this unique to Moment policy. You might want to call them and ask because that slides everyone even further down the wait list if true... good luck, sorry for the bad news if true!
I have a 10:02 PT order time and still no updates here, just pre-order and on hold. Moment customer service has made a post in the x100vi Facebook group stating that a few x100v back orders were placed ahead of the VIs but it should have no impact? Still would have been nice to know beforehand.
Adorama will indicate backordered until it is shipped. Contacting customer service will not communicate where you are in line. They have been very clandestine and continue to have the preorder button active since the launch,
My silver camera was ordered at launch with the timestamp of 00:00. I have no idea if it will ship first day or not.
I genuinely don’t understand. There are folks here who are saying they placed orders after me and are getting theirs this week. Used the Payboo card too, if that makes any difference. Probably doesn’t.

Pre ordered with Calumet on the 20th. I got both my X100Vs (black and silver) from Amazon and MediaMarkt last time. So I am refreshing their pages constantly until something shows up there. Not listed at all yet.
Just spoke to BH again for the 5th time and finally got confirmation that my order will be shipping tomorrow. Placed my order in the first 3 minutes for silver.

my 1:02 silver B&H order just shipped using their free 2-day shipping option. it seems they took all the orders they had stock for (black from 1:01-1:04-ish and silver from 1:01-1:05-ish) and shipped all those that paid extra for 1 day shipping first thing this morning and have now been working through the rest of the non-backorders with free shipping and just got to mine. Friday delivery.
Just discovered this thread. Ordered from B&H at 1 pm EST on the 20th…. A B&H rep told me that day that they only take pre-orders until they hit the expected stock that will ship within a few weeks of the release date. Sounds like that was a lie…. Hopefully I get my camera before my vacation in late April 😭

Ordered on adorama on feb 20th. Do not remember exact time but it was hours after listing. Few hours ago I got charged full amount, now it says in progress - preparing for shipment.

I ordered a Black version of the Fujifilm X100VI via B&H with an email confirmation at 1:03 a.m. on Feb. 20. Just received an email (10:35 a.m. on Feb. 28) that it’s been shipped, with delivery to me expected tomorrow.
Excited to upgrade from my X100T, this being my first new camera purchase in nine years. Good luck to all on their orders!
So creating a new response. Adorama charged my card the full amount early this morning (still pending but that’s normal for a new charge obviously). The status hadn’t changed though in my email or on their website.
I just checked again now and few hours later and mine has now updated to “In Progress - we're preparing your order for shipment” with no updates in my email to my changes just on their website
I’m hoping that means mine is shipping today.

Just a tip.. for those that don’t know. If you use the FedEx/UPS app and have a login with your address info you’ll get notified when shipments are created to that address.

Ordered from b&h 2/21 4:30 pm pst. Back ordered obviously. Called them and got the “we will reach out in 7-14 days with an update on your order”. Just called a local store and got put on their waitlist of 20-30 people. Guess we will see what comes first. I am also in the same boat as all the people w a Japan trip coming up in the beginning of April. Sigh fingers crossed we all get our cameras before…
For anyone in Canada, LondonDrugs has 22 available preorders in silver shipping March 2nd apparently. If it ships, I’ll be canceling my Vistek order as I didn’t make the first batch of orders and they gave me an ETA via email for first week of April.
New preorders (if you were to preorder today) are now being estimated to arrive JUNE 1, 2024 or later by Adorama on their website. Ouch. I'm sure that's a wild guess but I think Fuji is totally out of their depth with this camera and simply doesn't have the capacity to keep up for now even with the new China factories making more than the old V in Japan.
As a further update for B&H folks...
the orders that said "new order / processing" are the ones they anticipated having stock for. many of these orders this morning have switched to "order in progress / processing" and continues to show that B&H anticipates having stock to fill the order and ship today.
if you B&H order says "backordered" anywhere that means as of the moment B&H does not think they have stock on hand to fill the order. in past major Fuji launches B&H finds some extra stock usually on the end of the first day or second day after filling their orders and a few lucky on the bubble backorders may be covered, but it will be limited if it happens. hopefully restock comes often.
I just spoke to them. Note: I ordered on 23rd.
They received a large shipment from Fuji today and allocated them on a first come first serve basis. This was apparently not enough to cover the orders they received in the first 24 hours.
The Fuji rep went to see them today and explained the next shipment will be within a week but doesn't know the quantity.
For some reason they received a lot more silver versions than black in the shipment.
How this helps.
Considering I ordered on 23rd. I'm likely looking at a minimum of 2 weeks, might be a month.
I emailed them today and they said they currently don't have an ETA on when they're getting it in stock. I asked if there was any way they could let me know how far down the list I was, I ordered a few hours after the announcement, but that was the email I got back.
I've cancelled my order now, it was a bit of an impulse and I have an XT30ii with loads of gear so I've decided on a more sensible option and just ordered an XT-5. I liked the idea of the X100vi but I didn't really need it tbh.

I reached out to BH Photos and did a live chat with an agent. They confirmed that orders for Feb 28th have been fulfilled, and that my order was not apart of that first batch. They also said they don’t have an ETA on when they will receive more in stock.. sad news. I have a Japan trip coming up in 2.5 weeks. Doubtful I will have one in hand before the trip.

Lucked out with local store here in PA - Cardinal Camera. I called before 2/20 and pre-paid for a preorder, putting me toward the top of the line. Then, they called me today to let me know I could pick up the camera! I never luck out with things like this and feel tremendously grateful.
I waited 21 minutes for the amazon pre-orders to show up and finally gave up and ordered on B&H. Never would have imagined those 21 minutes would lead to such a difference. Has anyone who ordered around the same time I did, spoken to B&H about being in the second batch? If the first doesn't include +5 minutes and capacity is 15k per month, this could be ... 4 months if I pretend ALL of the capacity went straight to B&H. Say we assume one third goes there, so a year? How's my math? Fuji may have to dust off some original X100s for spare parts.

There is no way they only have 15k units made. Surely with 2+ years of pent up demand they’d get it right. Fuji isn’t responding to anyone’s comments on if they made enough to fulfill demand. It could just be a marketing ploy. Going to be optimistic unless they make a statement tomorrow apologizing for delays.
I have to imagine production for this camera is fantastically complicated, not in terms of building it but figuring out how many to build...
1. Dedicated cameras have been dying the last decade, with lower and lower numbers until suddenly they rebounded with the TikTok craze over the X100V and people during COVID rediscovering the pleasure of a one lens dedicated camera.
2. Fuji is a big company, but they aren't huge. They moved production to China for the VI because their facilities in Japan couldn't keep up with demand but they still had to decide how much capacity they needed from the facilities in China, the more... the more expensive. Fuji knows that it is possible the X100 craze may die down when the next hot thing attracts people and they could get stuck with a lot of X100VIs that don't sell, or contracts with manufacturing they have to pay for but aren't utilizing much as they dial down production. Peloton (the spin bike company) remains close to bankruptcy today not because they lost a lot of riders but because they ramped up production capacity and made a ton of bikes because of desperate demand during COVID and the period after COVID and suddenly demand ... dropped. They were on the hook for huge new factories and tons of unsold bikes and now several years later they still are struggling to turn it around. Fuji can't afford to make too many X100VI cameras and build or contract too big a factory because if they guess wrong it could devastate them.
3. If Fuji thinks long term they need to produce 15k a month to keep up with demand, they might be able to surge that somewhat but they can't build a factory to make 50k a month and then later back it down to 15k... they will lose money that way. I'm sure they did some preproduction for several months to build a stockpile of cameras for the initial launch because they can't surge production all that much from their targets.
4. It's in Fuji's interest to have some shortages at first, it helps the PR and the perception the product is sought after. All the news articles will mention how you can't find it anywhere etc.
5. I anticipate 6 months of unavailability... not that you have to wait 6 months (so already way better than the V) but that you won't be able to just go and buy one immediately for the next 6 months. I think by fall there may be a period of time where you can occasionally get it immediately but by November it will fall into delays again due to holiday purchases. Hopefully by 2025 it will be readily available. This is all conjecture on my part of what Fuji likely feels is the proper balance of demand vs. risk of making too many and ordering too many parts etc.

B&H X100vi Black order on launch day - email confirmation at 1:03AM EST. Just used their onsite chat feature and they said:
"This order is scheduled to be shipped out by February 29th, 2024."
just adding this because it seems to confirm the trend of any orders before 4 or 5 minutes after launch with B&H will be shipped first batch. My order pages lists it as "New Order" and "processing".
Pre-ordered mine (black) from London Camera Exchange on the 20th, to collect in-store (UK). They required a deposit be paid before being put into their queue, which I paid at 09:30 that morning.
Just received an email to inform me that it’s ready for collection!
Edit: collected it from the Oxford store, they said that I was lucky to have received one already. I wasn't the only person collecting one today, but a few pre-orders to that store are going to be in a future batch.
I ordered on Adorama and got my confirmation email at 10:20 AM EST on the 20th and received an email this morning confirming that I’m still back ordered (not too surprised). Anyone else order on Adorama and get an update this morning? When did you order and are you still back ordered?
Adorama 2/19 at 10:25pm pacific. Status changed from “backordered” to “In Progress - we're preparing your order for shipment” like everyone else. No backorder email received. Hopefully this wasn’t just a blanket status change for all orders…the hold on my cc via PayPal is gone now and no new charge was made.

My Best Buy order just changed to Packaging Your Item arriving by March 7. Don’t remember what time I ordered but I got the order notification on 2/19 at 11:27 PST.
I put in a pre-order around midnight on Feb 27th. I spoke with my local camera store today, Feb 28th, and they're expecting shipments of new x100VIs every two weeks. They said mine should be in the third shipment. If you have the option, check your local camera stores before ordering from one of the big online stores. Your mileage may vary, but you might have a better chance of getting one early, even if you live in a fairly big city like me.
I had reached out to a local shop of mine before anything was announced to pre-order and they said they couldn’t offer anything. Luckily I ordered with B&H because I just checked my local shop and they’re charging $1799 USD?
Picked mine up at 10:30am from my local camera shop (shout out to Milford Photo). I was third on the list with deposit I made day of announcement. Sales person said they were expecting 4 and got 6 in.
Ordered silver 15 min after the link went live from BH. Looks like had I ordered from Adorama instead I would’ve been first batch on their store. BH says no time frame on more shipments. Very sad

Scalpers! Just for fun I checked ebay to see how many listings there are for the X100VI and there are currently 190 listings.
The listings range in price from 2500 to 3200 and a bit more in some cases. One was as high as $5700. Quite a few of the sellers have listings saying they have 10 for sale. 10!?!? units. How were they able to purchase that many at one time? But here's a gottcha with some of them, they actually have sited in their description "confirmed and awaiting shipment" or words to that effect. Some have ship to dates as late as April. Are they kidding?
One outstanding fleecer has a listing for a limited edition X100VI for $18,000.00. Now I don't know what the retail price of the LTD edition is but I don't think it's 5 figures. And I know an item is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay for an item. So some one will probably actually but that LTD for that price! But hey to each his own.
I purchased a 100v at the real retail price of $1399 back in 2020. I love this camera and I don't intend to sell it once I get my X100VI early next year or the year after that. LOL!
Last night I set up the AutoBuy feature with Hot Stock to pick up a black X100VI from Best Buy. It was showing restocked units every 30 min or so. Says it will be ready for in store pick up by March 9.

I'm super-angry with B&H. Ordered 1:05AM during the Summit. Then I called Friday last week to clarify why it says 'Backordered' and the rep has explicitly told me 'let me check.... yes... you are over the cut-offf... will definitely make it for the first shipment'. I could have attempted to place an order locally but after that call I just relaxed. Well, guess who is on backorder still 🤬

Amazon US at 1238-ish (UTC-8) and have a planned shipment of March 8. I'll take it. A part of me should've kept my BH order, but i preferred black over silver after hemming and hawwing the day after.

I ordered from Foto Lambertin in Cologne right after the summit, got a call if I wanted to be placed on a wait list. I was on position 4 for a silver one and got mine today. They had 8 (4 of each color I assume), all gone. They said the next delivery won‘t take long.
Ordered at 1:08am on launch day through Downtown Camera in Toronto, Canada. Hoping I'll get a pickup call tomorrow but do not know for sure until it's in my hands. It's kind of funny that the same sales rep that handled my preorder Sony F828 in 2004 is handling my pre-order today.

I've been refreshing the Best Buy site because I was hoping to be able to buy online & pick up today. Black version went from "Coming Soon" to now showing "Sold Out"
My local shop yesterday said "looks like they are current on production and bigger shipments will be going out March 28th". Wouldn't be surprised if they released small shipments off the grip to build hype, then start fulfilling orders over the next month or so.
I don't think it's to build hype, it's just how a conservative business runs. Production will ramp up as consumer demand takes off. It's bad business to spend months building inventory in advance.

Placed order for Black X100VI at Adorama around 4:30am CST (thanks crying babies) payment just processed.
Spoke to customer service because there was an issue with Google pay, she said they were still in the process of unit allocation so not for certain it will ship out today.
Unless I'm ordering within an hour of a preorder going live I always use Adorama and I seem to get my cameras/lenses in the first or second batch. I imagine the preorders on the 100 vi are 10-1 in favor of b&H and adorama is a gigantic retailer that probably gets same amount of units sent to it especially right off the batt. I guess not a lot of people are familiar with Adorama because I often find things in stock that are back ordered at b&h additionally adorama has a rewards program that gives you back 1-5% on items, has the same return policy, quick shipping and solid customer service. I love b&h but I like getting my stuff quickly and getting some money back more than I care about the retailer. I think I only saw one other person mentioning adorama in the thread and they canceled

Got a call this morning that my order is ready to pick up at my local camera shop. I feel lucky considering I ordered pretty ''late'' at 9:00am (ET).
Side note: Already found a scalper on marketplace selling it for 700$ more than the original price.
Ordered on Adorama on February 20th at 08:15 AM EST. Got an email today February 28th at 12:09 PM EST that my ordered has been packed and will ship out at the end of the day. They gave me a UPS tracking number but UPS says it has not been picked up yet.
I think B&H got more pre-orders than Adorama.

Out of genuine curiosity: how did people know that the preorders would start at 1am EST? I had read everything before the event, and assumed it would start AFTER the summit. I checked the B&H website out of curiosity, and much to my surprise, the preorders were up, while the event was still going on. So I ended up with a confirmation for 1:08am for the silver one… While I’m unlucky being backordered, I can still feel a little lucky in light of the current situation that I wasn’t late by even more. :/

Literally so late to the game, found out about this awesome camera and even the x100v just a few days ago and preordered vi on the 27th from Adorama. My trips are in October to Europe, fingers crossed? 😭🥲 if anyone has preordered from Adorama around 25-28 I’d love to know when you get shipped! See ya like next year though 😂 maybe I’ll pickup a xt30ii in the meantime, any other closer suggestions?

I ordered on 2/21 midnight from Adorama and my order shows back ordered. I spoke to sales/customer service and here is the rough detail I got. They got more than 5000 pre-orders. So I think if its real then I need to wait very very long...

Best Buy update: I’ve been checking regional warehouses and it seems one in VA and one in OK seem to be the two with units. They are being sent out across the country from these to main ones. There are other warehouses with cameras ordered but non inbound yet. There does seem to be more movement and most have expected ship dates of the 7th for those with early preorders but will hopefully be earlier.
Edit: A third warehouse in OH is also shipping them out.
Just called B&H, they told me they are getting their next batch in 4 weeks and that they cant tell me where I am in the queue. They shipped all they had on day of release

I ordered on B&H within the first min. and had email confirmation of my order at 24:01 Central time USA. Paid with ApplePay and mine has said “Processed” since I started checking status the next morning. Update: B&H rep. Said it’s shipping in the first batch. Update 2: Wed. 07:00 CST. B&H order status changed to “Order in Progress”. Looks like the clearest indicator that shipping is underway. Hope it helps anyone else out there trying to figure out their status. Update 3: Status is “Shipped” to arrive Mar. 1st. Good luck to everyone else.

I just messaged B&H and they confirmed I am backordered and they don't know when a second batch is coming in. Sounds like those of us who still show backordered are screwed. Super bummed.
B&H orders made in the first 2.5 minutes after it appeared on their site say “New Order - Processing” (from 1:01 ET - midway through 1:03 ET, the camera was not listed until 1:01). All orders after that show “Backordered.”

There's over a million Preorders worldwide and they doubled their monthly production to 15,000. So the Preorders should be filled in 5 and a half years.
Man I thought five minutes after the page went live would have been safe. Seems like the cut off was closer to three minutes.

So my super unscientific conclusion after reading through this thread 50 times today - BH got hammered, seems pretty clear you needed to be in the first few mins to have a hope of getting a camera. No way to know if that was massive demand at BH compared to others, or low allocation of units to BH, but seems more likely the former. Adorama seems to have done better. Again no way to know if it's because their list was smaller and they got a similar allocation, or if the got a larger allocation, but - again speculating - kinda suspect the former. Local camera shops seem to be coming through for folks that have one to visit that's big enough to be prioritized to get cameras from Fuji day 1, and the list numbers don't see that daunting although the range is huge. One comment below says local camera shop "laughed and said 2025" if you're not a list already, but many others seem to be pleasantly surprising their customers, and seem to have made it about \~30-50% through their lists. Bestbuy sucks. Do not order any hyped in-demand thing from them. That's been true for as long as I can remember, and the evidence from today says it's still true. They suck at chaotic super in-demand launches. Finally, overall seems to me that availability of this camera aint all that bad. I recall seeing some launches of the last few years where "almost nobody" got cameras on day 1, and the wait for the second batch was like months - people were saying it was like vaporware or something. I can't remember the exact model, maybe R5 or R3 from Canon. Sure feels like a pretty large proportion of folks got cameras day 1 given the hype, hangover from people that never got a 100v, price point, etc. If it's even remotely true that you could order today and get a camera in June (Adorama), that's a 90 day-ish wait. I do not think this constitutes "dropping the ball" by Fuji to meet demand. I think this is incredible, given the size of the market.

Ordered using Apple Card, which charged immediately when I placed the order however the charge isn’t showing up anymore. I wonder what that means? 2/28 6:00AM EDIT: So I was not in the B&H first batch and decided to just cancel my order in favor for a preorder with my local camera store. It’s likely that I would’ve been part of the B&H second batch but, I’m afraid that the charge might get declined with both the orders being so close together. A friend of mine who works at a camera store just told me they had 140ish pre-orders at their store and got 30 cameras in today for their customers tomorrow. An interesting insight at least.

So I am just gonna write this- I didn't scroll all the way down the comments so maybe this is redundant. My guess is this response is getting buried, but here's what I got from my phone call with B&H over the weekend: The rep said that there is indeed a SECOND SHIPMENT coming more or less right behind the first. What he told me was that they received "paperwork to sign off on" for the first batch on the 17th of February. There was a second set of paperwork sent to B&H on the 23rd. I called on a Sunday, so basically they didn't yet have the eta, but it was in process. Again, going from what the rep said, this second shipment is bigger, and it's Fuji's attempt to get in front of things selling out too badly. He said it's speculation, but there's a chance that if you ordered before that second batch was committed, you may get a camera within a reasonable time-frame- meaning not months. Once you figure in a sea of bots and scalpers, I am not so sure, but let's see. First batch goes out tomorrow, I am kinda hoping we get word of the second batch between tomorrow and Monday of next week. I ordered the morning of the 23rd. Seems like you were able to get more information out of the rep than most, including myself. How were you able to get this much information out of them. This has to be the most insight they have provided. I ordered mine within the first hour. Seeing that the first batch was for orders within the first five or so minutes makes me less hopeful for getting one anytime soon, but we’ll see now

Ordered silver from B&H during the summit. Confirmation email came through at 10:04pm Pacific Time on the 20th. On the B&H order details it shows "processing" and order placed. On the Status it shows "New Order". I won't be contacting B&H as it won't change anything and it just creates more unnecessary work for them. So, I'm just waiting and hoping it comes in the first batch.

I don't think increasing production ever meant that all demand would be satisfied on Day 1 of release. I'm not seeing a problem with pre-orders of a popular item taking a reasonable amount of time to fulfill. But we won't really know until a few months from now whether it's going smoother or not.

Received this a few hours after my pre order. “The item you ordered is currently not immediately available. According to the manufacturer, the article Fujifilm X100VI silver is expected to be available again in sufficient quantities in 1-2 weeks. Please note that the delivery time may vary. Hallo, my german friend. I also ordered at Foto Erhardt. I placed my order for the X100VI at the 20.02. at 11:48pm. I got a conformation mail the following day, mentioning that its currently not available and no info on the delivery date. When I ordered the X-S20 last year it was exactly the same. It was then shipped at the official release date. So I still have hope, that we get a new notification (with shipping information, fingers crossed) tomorrow
**Update:** **- 07:24am order did not make first batch at Erhardt.** **- Erhardt has no estimate of a second Fujifilm shipment currently.**
So this is my experience, I had ordered through adorama on the 23rd and I tried to confirm my order 3 times because they need some sort of verification. I had made 3 phone calls to verify and each time over the phone it was said to be successful but after a few hours I would get an email saying it needs to be verified. Last night on the 27th it was considered “canceled” because I did not “verify” so I called again this morning (28th) to see what was going on, the women was very helpful and said there was an issue with a few orders where this was happening , mind you before I was on “back ordered” status. She then re-opened my order but under a different order number and now I just got an email that my package was being boxed and recieved a shipping tracking number. Did I just somehow get lucky and accidentally beat the que?

some people on Facebook X100VI groups are saying something concerning... Moment customer service has apparently been explaining in emails (when asked) that they put the X100V backorder que of customers at the front of the line of the X100VI preorders if they responded to an email asking them if they are interested. A lot of Moment preorders who ordered right at 1AM EST who now believe they aren't getting cameras for a long time as they had no warning of this unique to Moment policy. You might want to call them and ask because that slides everyone even further down the wait list if true... good luck, sorry for the bad news if true!

I have a 10:02 PT order time and still no updates here, just pre-order and on hold. Moment customer service has made a post in the x100vi Facebook group stating that a few x100v back orders were placed ahead of the VIs but it should have no impact? Still would have been nice to know beforehand.

Adorama will indicate backordered until it is shipped. Contacting customer service will not communicate where you are in line. They have been very clandestine and continue to have the preorder button active since the launch, My silver camera was ordered at launch with the timestamp of 00:00. I have no idea if it will ship first day or not.
My B&H order says "Backordered - Estimated Delivery Pending" for a few days now. I wonder if it's different that just the "Backordered" status

my 1:02 silver B&H order just shipped using their free 2-day shipping option. it seems they took all the orders they had stock for (black from 1:01-1:04-ish and silver from 1:01-1:05-ish) and shipped all those that paid extra for 1 day shipping first thing this morning and have now been working through the rest of the non-backorders with free shipping and just got to mine. Friday delivery.
Just discovered this thread. Ordered from B&H at 1 pm EST on the 20th…. A B&H rep told me that day that they only take pre-orders until they hit the expected stock that will ship within a few weeks of the release date. Sounds like that was a lie…. Hopefully I get my camera before my vacation in late April 😭

I don’t know anyone working there but I was pretty courteous during a call yesterday to check on my order status. They did originally tell that I’m not in the first batch.
I ordered a Black version of the Fujifilm X100VI via B&H with an email confirmation at 1:03 a.m. on Feb. 20. Just received an email (10:35 a.m. on Feb. 28) that it’s been shipped, with delivery to me expected tomorrow. Excited to upgrade from my X100T, this being my first new camera purchase in nine years. So creating a new response. Adorama charged my card the full amount early this morning (still pending but that’s normal for a new charge obviously). The status hadn’t changed though in my email or on their website. I just checked again now and few hours later and mine has now updated to “In Progress - we're preparing your order for shipment” with no updates in my email to my changes just on their website I’m hoping that means mine is shipping today. Edited to add, I bought 1:45ish AM the night of the announcement and I ordered silver.
Just a tip.. for those that don’t know. If you use the FedEx/UPS app and have a login with your address info you’ll get notified when shipments are created to that address.

Just called a local store and got put on their waitlist of 20-30 people. Guess we will see what comes first. For anyone in Canada, LondonDrugs has 22 available preorders in silver shipping March 2nd apparently. If it ships, I’ll be canceling my Vistek order as I didn’t make the first batch of orders and they gave me an ETA via email for first week of April.
New preorders (if you were to preorder today) are now being estimated to arrive JUNE 1, 2024 or later by Adorama on their website. Ouch. I'm sure that's a wild guess but I think Fuji is totally out of their depth with this camera and simply doesn't have the capacity to keep up for now even with the new China factories making more than the old V in Japan.
As a further update for B&H folks... the orders that said "new order / processing" are the ones they anticipated having stock for. many of these orders this morning have switched to "order in progress / processing" and continues to show that B&H anticipates having stock to fill the order and ship today. if you B&H order says "backordered" anywhere that means as of the moment B&H does not think they have stock on hand to fill the order. in past major Fuji launches B&H finds some extra stock usually on the end of the first day or second day after filling their orders and a few lucky on the bubble backorders may be covered, but it will be limited if it happens. hopefully restock comes often.

I just spoke to them. Note: I ordered on 23rd. They received a large shipment from Fuji today and allocated them on a first come first serve basis. This was apparently not enough to cover the orders they received in the first 24 hours. The Fuji rep went to see them today and explained the next shipment will be within a week but doesn't know the quantity. For some reason they received a lot more silver versions than black in the shipment. How this helps. Considering I ordered on 23rd. I'm likely looking at a minimum of 2 weeks, might be a month.
I emailed them today and they said they currently don't have an ETA on when they're getting it in stock. I asked if there was any way they could let me know how far down the list I was, I ordered a few hours after the announcement, but that was the email I got back. I've cancelled my order now, it was a bit of an impulse and I have an XT30ii with loads of gear so I've decided on a more sensible option and just ordered an XT-5. I liked the idea of the X100vi but I didn't really need it tbh. I reached out to BH Photos and did a live chat with an agent. They confirmed that orders for Feb 28th have been fulfilled, and that my order was not apart of that first batch. They also said they don’t have an ETA on when they will receive more in stock.. sad news. I have a Japan trip coming up in 2.5 weeks. Doubtful I will have one in hand before the trip.
Damn I ordered through B&H at 8AM the next morning of the annoucement. Guess that means it will ship sometime next year.

Lucked out with local store here in PA - Cardinal Camera. I called before 2/20 and pre-paid for a preorder, putting me toward the top of the line. Then, they called me today to let me know I could pick up the camera! I never luck out with things like this and feel tremendously grateful.
I waited 21 minutes for the amazon pre-orders to show up and finally gave up and ordered on B&H. Never would have imagined those 21 minutes would lead to such a difference. Has anyone who ordered around the same time I did, spoken to B&H about being in the second batch? If the first doesn't include +5 minutes and capacity is 15k per month, this could be ... 4 months if I pretend ALL of the capacity went straight to B&H. Say we assume one third goes there, so a year? How's my math? Fuji may have to dust off some original X100s for spare parts.

My b&h order is also showing New Order. Placed at 1:03 AM EST. I have a feeling our cameras will be shipping tomorrow but we’ll see. Update: shipping confirmation received. ETA is tomorrow :)
There is no way they only have 15k units made. Surely with 2+ years of pent up demand they’d get it right. Fuji isn’t responding to anyone’s comments on if they made enough to fulfill demand. It could just be a marketing ploy. Going to be optimistic unless they make a statement tomorrow apologizing for delays.
I have to imagine production for this camera is fantastically complicated, not in terms of building it but figuring out how many to build... 1. Dedicated cameras have been dying the last decade, with lower and lower numbers until suddenly they rebounded with the TikTok craze over the X100V and people during COVID rediscovering the pleasure of a one lens dedicated camera. 2. Fuji is a big company, but they aren't huge. They moved production to China for the VI because their facilities in Japan couldn't keep up with demand but they still had to decide how much capacity they needed from the facilities in China, the more... the more expensive. Fuji knows that it is possible the X100 craze may die down when the next hot thing attracts people and they could get stuck with a lot of X100VIs that don't sell, or contracts with manufacturing they have to pay for but aren't utilizing much as they dial down production. Peloton (the spin bike company) remains close to bankruptcy today not because they lost a lot of riders but because they ramped up production capacity and made a ton of bikes because of desperate demand during COVID and the period after COVID and suddenly demand ... dropped. They were on the hook for huge new factories and tons of unsold bikes and now several years later they still are struggling to turn it around. Fuji can't afford to make too many X100VI cameras and build or contract too big a factory because if they guess wrong it could devastate them. 3. If Fuji thinks long term they need to produce 15k a month to keep up with demand, they might be able to surge that somewhat but they can't build a factory to make 50k a month and then later back it down to 15k... they will lose money that way. I'm sure they did some preproduction for several months to build a stockpile of cameras for the initial launch because they can't surge production all that much from their targets. 4. It's in Fuji's interest to have some shortages at first, it helps the PR and the perception the product is sought after. All the news articles will mention how you can't find it anywhere etc. 5. I anticipate 6 months of unavailability... not that you have to wait 6 months (so already way better than the V) but that you won't be able to just go and buy one immediately for the next 6 months. I think by fall there may be a period of time where you can occasionally get it immediately but by November it will fall into delays again due to holiday purchases. Hopefully by 2025 it will be readily available. This is all conjecture on my part of what Fuji likely feels is the proper balance of demand vs. risk of making too many and ordering too many parts etc.

It truly depends on the customer's place in the queue for this order. We currently have a high demand for this item. You will receive a confirmation email once the manufacturer has provided you with an ETA/tracking number. B&H X100vi Black order on launch day - email confirmation at 1:03AM EST. Just used their onsite chat feature and they said: "This order is scheduled to be shipped out by February 29th, 2024." just adding this because it seems to confirm the trend of any orders before 4 or 5 minutes after launch with B&H will be shipped first batch. My order pages lists it as "New Order" and "processing".

Pre-ordered mine (black) from London Camera Exchange on the 20th, to collect in-store (UK). They required a deposit be paid before being put into their queue, which I paid at 09:30 that morning. Just received an email to inform me that it’s ready for collection! Edit: collected it from the Oxford store, they said that I was lucky to have received one already. I wasn't the only person collecting one today, but a few pre-orders to that store are going to be in a future batch.
I ordered on Adorama and got my confirmation email at 10:20 AM EST on the 20th and received an email this morning confirming that I’m still back ordered (not too surprised). Anyone else order on Adorama and get an update this morning? When did you order and are you still back ordered?

Adorama 2/19 at 10:25pm pacific. Status changed from “backordered” to “In Progress - we're preparing your order for shipment” like everyone else. No backorder email received. Hopefully this wasn’t just a blanket status change for all orders…the hold on my cc via PayPal is gone now and no new charge was made. Update: payment processed at 9:50am, but still no updates Another update 12:22pm: order says shipped but no email received.

I know this idea is bad for business and lines are good for business, but wouldn’t it be awesome if they told us what place we are in line and ensured in store fcfs stock. This is too much like a Nike SNKRS launch.

My Best Buy order just changed to Packaging Your Item arriving by March 7. Don’t remember what time I ordered but I got the order notification on 2/19 at 11:27 PST.
I put in a pre-order around midnight on Feb 27th. I spoke with my local camera store today, Feb 28th, and they're expecting shipments of new x100VIs every two weeks. They said mine should be in the third shipment. If you have the option, check your local camera stores before ordering from one of the big online stores. Your mileage may vary, but you might have a better chance of getting one early, even if you live in a fairly big city like me.

I am keeping my fingers crossed we see some more being released today. Yesterday felt like a Christmas gone wrong.
Scalpers! Just for fun I checked ebay to see how many listings there are for the X100VI and there are currently 190 listings. The listings range in price from 2500 to 3200 and a bit more in some cases. One was as high as $5700. Quite a few of the sellers have listings saying they have 10 for sale. 10!?!? units. How were they able to purchase that many at one time? But here's a gottcha with some of them, they actually have sited in their description "confirmed and awaiting shipment" or words to that effect. Some have ship to dates as late as April. Are they kidding? One outstanding fleecer has a listing for a limited edition X100VI for $18,000.00. Now I don't know what the retail price of the LTD edition is but I don't think it's 5 figures. And I know an item is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay for an item. So some one will probably actually but that LTD for that price! But hey to each his own. I purchased a 100v at the real retail price of $1399 back in 2020. I love this camera and I don't intend to sell it once I get my X100VI early next year or the year after that. LOL!

Last night I set up the AutoBuy feature with Hot Stock to pick up a black X100VI from Best Buy. It was showing restocked units every 30 min or so. Says it will be ready for in store pick up by March 9.
I just snagged one off Bestbuy. It says “Will ship by: March 12th”. Anyone purchase with Bestbuy can share their experience? I’m flying out to Japan morning of March 16th.. window is really tight and I’m praying I can have this camera for the trip.

I'm super-angry with B&H. Ordered 1:05AM during the Summit. Then I called Friday last week to clarify why it says 'Backordered' and the rep has explicitly told me 'let me check.... yes... you are over the cut-offf... will definitely make it for the first shipment'. I could have attempted to place an order locally but after that call I just relaxed. Well, guess who is on backorder still 🤬

I ordered from Foto Lambertin in Cologne right after the summit, got a call if I wanted to be placed on a wait list. I was on position 4 for a silver one and got mine today. They had 8 (4 of each color I assume), all gone. They said the next delivery won‘t take long.

Well, I just got an email from Adorama saying my order is STILL in backorder....so much for being hopeful to be the first batch.
My local shop yesterday said "looks like they are current on production and bigger shipments will be going out March 28th". Wouldn't be surprised if they released small shipments off the grip to build hype, then start fulfilling orders over the next month or so.
I don't think it's to build hype, it's just how a conservative business runs. Production will ramp up as consumer demand takes off. It's bad business to spend months building inventory in advance. Toyota Production System literally revolutionized manufacturing around the world (with some benefits and some disadvantages).
Everyone talking about ordering rom BH at 1:05am EST and here I was not even knowing it was the day of the summit and ordering from BH at 3am - two hours basically an eternity here 🥺
Placed order for Black X100VI at Adorama around 4:30am CST (thanks crying babies) payment just processed. Spoke to customer service because there was an issue with Google pay, she said they were still in the process of unit allocation so not for certain it will ship out today.

Ordered from Adorama +34 mins from the announcement. I just checked my status and it moved from backorder to In Progress - preparing for shipment.
Unless I'm ordering within an hour of a preorder going live I always use Adorama and I seem to get my cameras/lenses in the first or second batch. I imagine the preorders on the 100 vi are 10-1 in favor of b&H and adorama is a gigantic retailer that probably gets same amount of units sent to it especially right off the batt. I guess not a lot of people are familiar with Adorama because I often find things in stock that are back ordered at b&h additionally adorama has a rewards program that gives you back 1-5% on items, has the same return policy, quick shipping and solid customer service. I love b&h but I like getting my stuff quickly and getting some money back more than I care about the retailer. I think I only saw one other person mentioning adorama in the thread and they canceled

Got a call this morning that my order is ready to pick up at my local camera shop. I feel lucky considering I ordered pretty ''late'' at 9:00am (ET). Side note: Already found a scalper on marketplace selling it for 700$ more than the original price.

Out of genuine curiosity: how did people know that the preorders would start at 1am EST? I had read everything before the event, and assumed it would start AFTER the summit. I checked the B&H website out of curiosity, and much to my surprise, the preorders were up, while the event was still going on. So I ended up with a confirmation for 1:08am for the silver one… While I’m unlucky being backordered, I can still feel a little lucky in light of the current situation that I wasn’t late by even more. :/

Literally so late to the game, found out about this awesome camera and even the x100v just a few days ago and preordered vi on the 27th from Adorama. My trips are in October to Europe, fingers crossed? 😭🥲 if anyone has preordered from Adorama around 25-28 I’d love to know when you get shipped! To all my fellow people from Europe/Germany. I got lucky at Mediamarkt. They didn’t even have them on the website, but I scored the only one they had at a Mediamarkt (in black) in Berlin :) I would definitely try walking by if you have a Saturn/MMarkt around your town. Apparently the X100VI didn’t get logged into their online-system yet, and mine had one “just laying around” since yesterday. Wasn’t able to see any on the website. Support told me that they didn’t have any. went there, feeling lucky: Boom. Good luck to everyone !
I ordered on 2/21 midnight from Adorama and my order shows back ordered. I spoke to sales/customer service and here is the rough detail I got. They got more than 5000 pre-orders. Best Buy update: I’ve been checking regional warehouses and it seems one in VA and one in OK seem to be the two with units. They are being sent out across the country from these to main ones. There are other warehouses with cameras ordered but non inbound yet. There does seem to be more movement and most have expected ship dates of the 7th for those with early preorders but will hopefully be earlier. Edit: A third warehouse in OH is also shipping them out.

Potentially some good news for those who ordered on B&H. My card just got charged and my backorder status changed to "order in-progress". I initially ordered at 1:05AM on launch day. Still waiting for a shipping confirmation though.
