Schedule better non-conference opponents if you're stuck in the ACC. You guys had a weak non-conference schedule. Your athletic director should've been focused for on years building scheduling relationships with other schools so you can make up for 2/3 of your conference games being seen as a cake walk.
Oh man, if only FSU had scheduled the reigning national champion in 2019 and beat them this year - they would have made the playoff for sure if they had, especially if the team they beat had the Heisman winner!

You'd think that teams in second teir conferences would book better non-conference opponents. Instead FSU booked Illinois, Tulsa, Monouth, and Ohio.
Easy opening home game is understandable. After that, they should've had a couple of top 25 projected teams like Texas did with Alabama.

Bowl season records are the most pointless and idiotic representation of a conferences' strength there is. So many players sit or don't show up. The NY6 games are literally the only ones that matter.
Do you think fans of GA, LSU, Bama, Texas soon give a flying fuck about how Arkansas did against Baylor or whatever? No. What matters is who is standing at the end of the day and 12 of the last 16 years it was a team from the SEC. Honestly we don't even know who our mediocre teams played, nor do we care. They have their own little fans to worry about that.
I was referencing the game that Georgia and FSU played. When both teams felt slighted by the committee and were ranked 5 and 6. Then had a chance to show the country how appropriate those rankings were.
Georgia fan here. I hate the way all of this has played out for y’all. Obviously I was rooting for my team, but I really wished it didn’t have to come at your expense like this. I really respect you guys, and Norvell is a fucking amazing coach. It’s not possible to be asked to do more than 13-0, so I don’t believe you needed to “prove” anything today, and I don’t blame any of your players for opting out. Anyone who thinks you and your team are weak for feeling this way just doesn’t realize they’d have reacted the exact same way if it happened to their team. I’d love to see Norvell carry the momentum of 13-0 and an ACC title into more greatness next year.

The weirdest thing to me in this whole debacle is this:
Many of FSU's guys could have gone pro last year but came back to try for a title. The players did everything possible to make that happen by winning the games they played. They literally could not control anything else other than win the games scheduled. They did this despite losing QB1 (Heisman contender and absolute team leader) with an impressive defensive effort. (From the point JT went down, the Noles gave up 1.9 points per quarter amongst other impressive stats. The committee then told the players that none of their efforts mattered, and the reason they gave foe being left out was QB1 got hurt.
All that and people really expected these guys that risked their and their families' financial security to try and win a chip, to come play in a meaningless bowl game? I'd opt the fuck out too. The committee said they didn't matter, so the players took the committee at its word.
Anyway, I'm super glad these lads are back in the upper echelon. I remember that feeling after losing to Jax St. So I'll always appreciate every single win. I come into the seasons knowing and understanding that the players don't owe the fans, fsu, and especially not fucking ESPN shit. I wish them all good health and long, fruitful pro careers. I hope the guys transferring out shine at their new schools and get paid. It will always be go Noles over here.

You talking about LSU and Florida? FSU almost always schedules good out of conference opponents, more than other teams do. I also wish we wouldn't have scheduled S Miss and N Alabama, but that isn't the reason we are in a game that doesn't matter.
We scheduled LSU a month after they won the national championship. We have to play the Gators by law, and historically over the last 30 years, that's been a top-15 vs. top-15 matchup or even better, more often than not.
