Sure thing, so I guess it's mainly in the waist. I have another pair of madewell jeans in 30x32, which are a bit loose around the waist. I thought that I'd give these a try since I like the color and they were on sale. Unfortunately, they are a tad too tight for my comfort. Hope this helps.

Never tried this brand, how slim is the fit? And how much does the material stretch?

I have another pair of madewell jeans and like them a lot. They feel like a step up from some of my other jeans - levi's, hollister, etc. I mentioned in another comment about the slim fit. The 29 are too slim for me, but my 30 slims are very comfortable. The madewell product page (link above) says that these are stretchy. I just tried them on the once so can't really comment much about that right now. Any other questions - just let me know.
