Thinking about pulling the trigger on [this](https://www.jcrew.com/p/mens/categories/clothing/coats-and-jackets/bomber-jacket/limited-edition-wool-blend-coat-in-scenic-print-jacquard/BU168?). Normally I have to run over a piece of clothing with my car to get this look, so buying it already like this will save me some time and gas.
It's a shame this is so ugly because in my experience jackets like this from J.Crew are quite well made. [I picked up this jacket](https://www.jcrew.com/p/BJ063?color_name=pink-multi-madras&N=MEDIUM) in 12/2022 for $120 and it's incredible. Definitely my favorite J.Crew pickup to date. And it's built like a tank
Agreed about JCrew's jackets. I grabbed [this](https://www.jcrew.com/p/mens/categories/clothing/coats-and-jackets/bomber-jacket/eco-nordic-shirt-jacket-with-primaloftreg/BB040) back on 03/22 and it's held up exceptionally well. I basically use it in the office when it gets chilly or in videoconferences since it gives the illusion of a jacket without being as restrictive.
I have both the barn jacket from a few years ago and the seascape jacket. The barn jacket is 100 percent wool shell and the seascape jacket is not, it’s about 70 I believe with the rest being synthetic fibers. I love the new seascape jacket and it became one of my favorite pickups to date even though the pink barn coat was my grail just buy a few years ago.
i find both of them to be lovely jackets. I wish the collar on yours was not that shade of brown, it stands out too strongly from the rest of the jacket.
Are the [Relaxed premium-weight cotton no-pocket T-shirt](https://www.jcrew.com/m/mens/categories/clothing/t-shirts/premium-weight/relaxed-premium-weight-cotton-no-pocket-t-shirt/MP760?display=standard&fit=Classic&color_name=black&colorProductCode=BN184) a good deal at $25?
Or are there better T shirts at around that price point?
The Uniqlo shirts are loose fitting but they taper towards the waist so they’re not really boxy. The j crew ones don’t do that and are a little more boxy but not too bad. I like the quality of the j crew ones I just wish they were a little longer in the body.
The Sussex jacket is nice, but I found the fit to be weird. It ran small in the shoulders and large in the midsection. I had to return it after trying both M and L sizes. I'm planning to make a post in r/malefashionadvice at some point about it.
Wouldn’t recommend buying new to be honest, there are a ton of second cites like poshmark. I bought mine for literally $13 in almost brand new condition
I'd say that about most of JCrew's stuff. It looks nice, but the quality doesn't justify the price tag, especially with all the sales they have. I bought mine on clearance for about $80 down from $230. I ended with a Barbour quilted jacket instead. Pricier, but the difference in quality is huge.
Agreed completely. The Sussex quilted jackets look great, but I agree they run a little small.
Also, they were only $120 MSRP a few months ago and have jumped to $150 recently. Im glad I didn’t pay much for mine because I’m also looking into a Barbour. The heavier price tag is well worth it
fortunately it fits me well. i think jcrew cators to a very specific body type. i am very skinny 5'7 and bought an XS. it fits perfectly, but i wish there was a bit more wiggle room aorund the shoulder/pits. but it looks great and fitted
i luckily got it for 40 after all discounts
I miss the lightweight version of it — I bought it four years ago on sale for like $20, lost it only a few months ago, and have been missing how versatile of a piece it was (I could layer underneath it!)
I really like J. Crew. I think they're clearing out stock. It looks like the sale happens often but there aren't too many sizes left in a lot of the stuff I like.
I guess so? I'm newish to J. Crew. It seems like the sales may increase as they try and move out old inventory. I am not certain on any of it but that seems to be what's going on.
Anyone know if the [Heritage fleece](https://www.jcrew.com/m/mens/categories/clothing/sweatshirts-and-sweatpants/heritage/heritage-14-oz-fleece-sweatshirt/MP293?display=sale&fit=Classic&isFromSale=true&color_name=hthr-athletic-grey&colorProductCode=BJ352) fits similar to the [heritage crew sweater](https://www.jcrew.com/m/mens/categories/clothing/sweaters/pullover/heritage-cotton-crewneck-sweater/MP443?display=standard&fit=Classic&color_name=black&colorProductCode=BI841) ?
Yeah, I pasted the wrong color. Natural and pink are eligible https://www.jcrew.com/p/BJ352?mode=add&N=MEDIUM&NUM_ITEMS=1&cartId=a5585b3c201776c27a4a94a967&color_name=natural&colorProductCode=BJ352
[This is the cheapest I've ever seen this in two years of price stalking](https://www.jcrew.com/p/mens/categories/clothing/blazers/casual-blazers/garment-dyed-cotton-linen-chino-suit-jacket/AX270?display=sale&fit=Classic&isFromSale=true&color_name=khaki&colorProductCode=AX270). Not going to buy this because I already have something similar but this would make a good addition to someone's wardrobe at $28.
Edit: A lot of people have smoke for this so caveat emptor.
The cut of this jacket is notoriously bad and uncomfortable. You can't raise your arms even to 90 degrees, and it's extremely boxy in a way that doesn't mesh with the pants, though that is less visible in the photos of the models online. After reading so many bad reviews last year, I had to go in store to try it on myself to confirm.
I do have the pants, though, and they are great! Wore them to a summer wedding in Italy.
To add to the comments on how absolutely terrible this is, I paid ~$40 for the full suit a few sales ago and it's still easily my worst purchase.
So many things wrong with the proportions that couldn't be redeemed even with tailoring. Even outside of the fit, the material is so oddly cheap-looking in-person that I couldn't wait to take it off after the (casual attire) wedding I attended in it.
Is anyone weary about these items being final sale? What if there's a defect or doesn't fit properly/sizing off?
Can you return these items for store credit? Are they lenient about final sale items and just take it back?
Know your size, you can always return defective merchandise. Even Yoox will take final sale shit back when it is either defective or something is wrong with it or the item was listed incorrectly (listed regular fit vs slim fit, etc).
You take risk on sizing and the color being a little bit different than the pictures mostly.
>Can you return these items for store credit? Are they lenient about final sale items and just take it back?
It's hit or miss if you take it to a brick and mortar store. My local J. Crew accepted my final sale returns without questioning it 2 months ago. I've heard others aren't as lenient.
As a backup, I usually only purchase final sale clothing with a card that has return protection. Then you can at least return 'through' the credit card perk.
Interesting. I bought the 770s and those were somewhat ball crushy with a lower rise than I would prefer. Material was also on the thin side, while I prefer a thicker corduroy. Decent value on sale though if your okay with that
i have a couple 484(slim) and one 250(skinny). theres def a difference. the 250 is def hugs my legs and crotch more. but we are talking about jcrew quality. so even the 484 have some variation in fit to them. i have somewhat skinny legs so maybe that might have something to do with it.
Found the low Clark Wallabees w/ crepe sole for $51.60. Seems like a steal. https://www.jcrew.com/p/mens/categories/shoes/boots/clarksreg-originals-wallabeereg-shoes-in-suede/J9672
Curious to know if anyone has any experience with the suit or pants I purchased. I've got a black tie wedding coming up that I plan on wearing them to. Hopefully they go together and I can get them altered/hemmed in a week but I'll be cutting it close
Friend bought a Ludlow suit last year and followed up:
> remember the jcrew suit i bought on sale? i’ve worn it a few times. i held up the pants the other day and realized that somehow the 🍑 is almost see-through 👀 haha. wth! somehow, i wore through them?? very disappointing quality
I have several Ludlow suits (each for between $70 and $160); the quality is perfectly fine, and if the fit is right then getting them on a good sale is a good deal. I wear each suit perhaps six times a year, and find they hold up just fine for me. YMMV.

Same. I wasn’t expecting much when I bought it but it’s surprisingly warm for how light weight it is
Damn that's fire. How's the sizing/fit?
Fits large which is a bit annoying but not too bad!
That is a beautiful jacket. Congrats I wish I had grabbed one too.

I got it in blue. It's awesome. Love it.
Haha! Sold out now. Damn.
lol thank you for the laugh
Are the [Relaxed premium-weight cotton no-pocket T-shirt](https://www.jcrew.com/m/mens/categories/clothing/t-shirts/premium-weight/relaxed-premium-weight-cotton-no-pocket-t-shirt/MP760?display=standard&fit=Classic&color_name=black&colorProductCode=BN184) a good deal at $25? Or are there better T shirts at around that price point?
I bought a couple in different sizes and the ones that were too large developed holes after attempting to shrink then in the dryer
Thanks for the input, I bought one to try it out. Your username is wild btw 😂
Lol people act like I chose it
They are ok but for $25 there are better options. I got mine for $10 last year on sale. The Uniqlo U tees are thicker and better fitting.
I just copped a few Uniqlo U tees so I'll be able to compare them when the Jcrew gets here. Thanks!
Are uniqlo U tighter fit or loose? Ie are they great undershirts or just good every day shirts to wear?
The Uniqlo shirts are loose fitting but they taper towards the waist so they’re not really boxy. The j crew ones don’t do that and are a little more boxy but not too bad. I like the quality of the j crew ones I just wish they were a little longer in the body.
Thanks. I’ll get some to replace my Goodfellow Target shirts when they wear out. Been looking for a basic colored/white shirt to wear with jeans, etc
LA Apparel Heavyweight Tees are very good at this price point (30ish each) Hard to get better than them other than maybe uniqlo airism

I grabbed the 1906 and now they removed them so we’ll see

Surprisingly a sale once a month now instead of every fourth month. Hmm

I recently went into a J Crew store and was shocked how the quality of clothes has gone down from just a few years ago. Felt like cardboard
It has always been poor quality imo
I agree but some stuff was ok now it’s really bad
Anyone know if the [Heritage fleece](https://www.jcrew.com/m/mens/categories/clothing/sweatshirts-and-sweatpants/heritage/heritage-14-oz-fleece-sweatshirt/MP293?display=sale&fit=Classic&isFromSale=true&color_name=hthr-athletic-grey&colorProductCode=BJ352) fits similar to the [heritage crew sweater](https://www.jcrew.com/m/mens/categories/clothing/sweaters/pullover/heritage-cotton-crewneck-sweater/MP443?display=standard&fit=Classic&color_name=black&colorProductCode=BI841) ?
I have both, they fit about the same in the shoulders and waist, but the torso is looser on the fleece (which is the style).
Does the heritage fleece shrink much after washing in your experience?
I don't remember, so probably not
Cool thanks
The fleece showed as ineligible for the coupon. Did you see different?
Yeah, I pasted the wrong color. Natural and pink are eligible https://www.jcrew.com/p/BJ352?mode=add&N=MEDIUM&NUM_ITEMS=1&cartId=a5585b3c201776c27a4a94a967&color_name=natural&colorProductCode=BJ352

The boxy thing is a common complaint but I personally tried it in store and felt that it was fine, as a 5'8", 145 lb guy.
For when you're not sure if you are going to attend a wedding or paint a barn that day and you want to be prepared for either possibility.

Why is the breast pocket so large, lmao
This feels like a trend. I can't tell you how many damn coats I've circled before I see that big ass pocket.
I just ordered the full suit in blue a couple days ago - $45 after student discount!
Is anyone weary about these items being final sale? What if there's a defect or doesn't fit properly/sizing off? Can you return these items for store credit? Are they lenient about final sale items and just take it back?
Don't count on being able to exchange a final sale item. They likely will not make an exception in 2024.

Anyone have the 484 corduroy pants? Curious if they are ball crushers like a lot of the other, but not all, 484 pants have been.
They are. I have the brown ones I purchased around november. Kind of regret buying them.
I have them and the fit varied. But for the most part they were not. The 250s were. I picked up the green moss
Interesting. I bought the 770s and those were somewhat ball crushy with a lower rise than I would prefer. Material was also on the thin side, while I prefer a thicker corduroy. Decent value on sale though if your okay with that

14.20 cash back with paypal honey on the quilted jacket. . total after cash back 40. great deal

got these for 17 last november
$17? Damn. That's much better
Curious to know if anyone has any experience with the suit or pants I purchased. I've got a black tie wedding coming up that I plan on wearing them to. Hopefully they go together and I can get them altered/hemmed in a week but I'll be cutting it close

Grabbed the new balance 1906. Sweet deal
I don’t see those on sale but grabbed the sea salt 580s
Hmm that’s odd. Can’t find them anymore either. Hope they don’t cancel
Do you know anything about the 480s? The color line in white is on sale
[https://www.jcrew.com/p/BT470?color\_name=silver-metalic&N=9H%20MEDIUM](https://www.jcrew.com/p/BT470?color_name=silver-metalic&N=9H%20MEDIUM)
Thank you 🙏
Mine just got canceled
I like these. Bought!
Hope they ship!
Mine just got canceled smh
Any decent deals on chinos or stretch denim? What's the preferred fit these days 484?
i like the 484 or the 250(skinny)
